It has been a long time since I posted on this group.

I testified at the FDA hearings on mercury dental fillings and neuro-
toxicity on Sept 6th in Gaithersburg, MD. Lo and behold, the 25
member Advisory Panel actually listened to us! In two votes of 13 to
7, the Advisory Board said the FDA report the FDA had just released
before we got there, was not reasonable. The FDA had said the
fillings were completely safe, but the Advisory Board said "hold on"
you haven't proven it to us.

So the Advisory Panel, including the bilogical dentist, Dr. Michael
Fleming, from Durham, NC in two 13 to 7 votes REJECTED the safety
report that the FDA had just released a few days before! That is why
one day you heard the report, "FDA Says Dental Fillings Safe," and
then less than a week later you heard, "Advisory Panel Rejects the
FDA Safety Report."

Now, it is very important that You flood the FDA dockets with your
stories of being poisoned. The Advisory panel is really listening to
your stories. They will read every story that you send them.

Tell how many fillings you had, and root canals, and toxic crowns and
if you had oral galvanism, tell them. Explain to them what oral
galvanism is if you had it. Tell the symptoms you had. Tell them how
long it took you to find a doctor who knew anything. Tell them how
much it cost you. Tell them that you went to the wrong dentist (if
you did) and he let you breathe mercury vapor. Tell them you are
broke. Tell them your marriage broke up, if it did. Tell them your
friends think you are crazy. Tell them it has destroyed your life,
your home and your pocketbook, if it did. Don't lie, just tell the
truth. The truth is horrible enough.

HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR STORY TO THE FDA DOCKET. YOU MUST DO IT BY
NOVEMBER 9, 2006.

1) Go to http://www.fda.gov/dockets/ecomments

2) Click on Docket Search.

3) Under Docket ID, place the Docket No. in the blank spot. The
Docket No. is 2006N-0352.

4) Click on Find.

5) Click on Go.

6) Under category, I put individual consumer.

7) Click on continue.

The FDA Advisory Panel needs to know there are thousands of us who
are poisoned.

Please email me if you send in your story to the FDA docket. You can
get your doctor to send in a story too to the docket, of how he
treats patients that are mercury poisoned. There was one doctor there
who testified that she had treated over 80 people with mercury
poisoning. They really listened to her.

Citizen comments to FDA due Nov. 9



Folks, All of us have until Thursday, November 9, to submit comments to FDA about the harm done or threatened by mercury fillings. Our September 7 victory -- the rejection of FDA’s claim of safety by two scientific panels -- stands at risk as pro-mercury forces inside and outside FDA try to block the reforms called for by scientists.



Examples of potential topics could include:

the “silver” deception that hides the mercury from children and adults,
environmental data,
personal experience,
patients you have seen healed
scientific information,
impact on a family member,
· impact on the workplace

self-interest by the pro-mercury dentists
FDA’s preference of dentist protection over consumer protection


If you submitted comments this summer to the record, re-submit them. To our surprise, FDA will not put those comments on the record unless they are re-submitted.



Even after two scientific panels decisively voted “No” to FDA’s pseudo-scientific protection of amalgam, the pro-mercury bureaucrats at FDA aren’t giving up. Just yesterday, the Deputy Director of the Center on Devices of FDA, Linda Kahan, wrote me that she and Center Director Daniel Schultz have ruled that the notorious Dental Devices Branch -- the ADA-dominated sector who gave us the LSRO debacle and fiction that mercury causes “allergies” -- will remain in charge of the amalgam issue. Director Schultz, a physician, and Kahan, a lawyer, have decided that professional courtesy to their dentist friends outweighs the health of America ’s children.



Thus, we must build a record that leaves no doubt in a court review. While Consumers for Dental Choice pursues other avenues -- our court case seeking a ban, Capitol Hill oversight, media attention – I ask that you do your part here by writing FDA.
