When I lived in Port Richey, Florida, the water had so much chlorine that when I went into the bathroom, my eyes would burn from the fumes from the chlorine in the toilet. Showering was painful. For the entire day I could smell chlorine on my arms even when they were straight down at my sides. It was amazing.

I purchased a shower chlorine filter and it solved the problem completely. I would not smell chlorine at all in the water. In case anyone's is interested, here's the model I used:
