One of the most annoying and evident symptoms I have is damaged blood vessels, especially hands, feet and face: they easily get very cold, and have this ugly reddish colour (and of course they tingle a lot.). When i keep my hands down, they get full of blood that does not manage to flow up easily, so they get purple and swallen. I read in a few places that mercury does this by oxidising the vessels. I think its also the cause of heart pain I sometimes have. The ugly thing is I doubt the circulatory system/my hands and feet will get back completely normal. Does anyone of you have similar circulation problems?
Anyway after 4 months from amalgam removal I'm starting to notice that my periods of well being are getting longer and more frequent I guess mercury takes quite a bit also to leave the blood, despite what they say.
Another curious symptom that I developed about 7 years ago (I remember exaclty when it started!), i.e. 4 years after the first amalgams (at 12 years old) is that I started to feel my heartbeat. Now I can feel every single heartbeat if I pay any attention at all, always.
Despite being italian I quit eating pasta (and sugar and bread and most carbs) about 6 years ago (long before I knew of mercury) because it made me sick. Now thats improving quite a lot and I eat with my family

Good to hear about your (slow but steady) success after mercury removal. About circulation... Vitamin C is vital for developing blood vessels. These types of problems are usually helped taking more vitamin C, which will also aid in neutralizing the oxidative effects of mercury. Here are some info sheets you may find helpful. Yes, I have raynauds with my hands going red, purple, and blue in winter. They get very cold, and people notice it when they shake my hands. Sometimes they go this way in summer too if the air conditioning is cold. I only had 3 amalgams and had them removed Nov 2004. I feel maybe a 10% improvement in that area. One thing I noticed is that my hands used to get really red and swollen in summer but that hasn't happened as much in the summer we just had (in the southern hemisphere). I'm not doing anything special to rid the body of mercury except for taking my usual supplements (multivitamin, Vit C, fibre, and green barley powder). I have tried taking fresh coriander (cilantro) leaves three separate times now and each time it majorly knocked me around. It makes me feel extrememly toxic and dehydrated. In the day time I can handle it by drinking lots of water and urinating but the worst is when I am asleep and have no chance to drink water. So when I awake I feel extremely toxic. Nonetheless after drinking lots of water I feel considerably better, so I am assuming it is ridding my body of mercury. I am a little concerned that I could be stirring up too much mercury, I felt something funny in my brain the last couple of days which seems to have subsided. I am thinking of getting some Chlorella tomorrow and see how that goes.
btw - I also can feel my heartbeat and have had high blood pressure before (140) even though I am thin, eat reasonably well, and exercise occassionally.
God bless,
Jolon.

I used to feel very toxic in my muscles. They would feel congested but I noticed that it usually happened after eating some sugar. Now that the amalgams are out, I have cut down on sugar a lot but even when I do eat sugar, the same feeling does not come back. It's a huge change. I used to call this toxic feeling "exercise withdrawl" because I would have to exercise to get rid of it. I wrote about this in my mercury story: My Mercury Amalgam Story Sounds like you're on your way. You may want to start a planned detox program to expedite the process, however. Best of luck!

Man, I feel my heartbeat too, always, every single one, thats crazy... I remember just the day it started, about when I was 15 or so (8 years ago). I also have cold-pinkish face and feet. And I discovered that "raynauds" is just another name for acrodynia, a disease caused by mercury: acrodynia its ridiculous how they change names to diseases in order to confuse people... heh, raynauds is a mysterious syndrome, the causes are unknown... right...

I had the same issue?feeling my heartbeat. My heart would also start to beat fast just standing from a sitting position. I would get dizzy. Of course, this can all be traced to symptoms of mercury.
Whoops, I did it again. I had salmon.
Went out to dinner the other night and did the unusual (for me) and had salmon.
That night was a difficult night for sleep as it felt too cold when the covers were off, too hot when they were on. Reminded me of the old days. Without the Algin I took, I can only image what kind of night it would have been.

Yep, all those bad circulation problems. I use to feel all my heart beats, seemed liked at times that surely everyone else could see my body pulsing it was so bad, but I started taking magnesium and it not only took care of the hard beating but also the flip-flopping and the flutter cough thing. Now if my magnesium levels get low enough (I've been exposed to a lot of toxins and stress) I sometimes can feel my heart beat again and I know it's time to take a little extra!

The only company I know of that sells Algin without other added stuff is Nature's Sunshine Products. You can search for a store near you that carries them, or order them online if you prefer. I am a distributor because I really like this line and I use mostly their products myself. Plus as a distributor I get a discount. Here is a link if you're interested: OnlyTheBestHerbs.COM

I definitely have the poor circulation to the extremities, yet another symptom of poisoning my doctors have missed.

For years, I have suffered with "Broken" blood vessels in my fingers. You feel a pop, then pain, and swelling and black and blue fingers. My mom has the same problem. It doesn't happen that often, but when it does it hurts like heck and is very disturbing. Doctors have no idea why or what to do about it. I always worry that it's going to happen somewhere else (like in my brain)...:(

I have always had a problem with easy bruising and with occasionally breaking blood vessels in my fingers. I never really worried too much because my grandmother had the same problem. Well, my grandmother has heart disease too, and I never made the connection.
Vitamin C is necessary to repair and stabilize capillary and blood vessel walls. Without sufficient vitamin C, the body will attempt to compensate by producing more cholesterol to repair vessel wall damage. Thus, prolonged vitamin C deficiency actually leads to the build-up of these fatty deposits in the blood vessels, which doctors call atherosclerosis - the leading cause of heart attacks. I bet your doctor never told you to take more vitamin C to prevent a heart attack!
Why don't animals get heart attacks? Their bodies produce vitamin C endogenously (from within the body).
Thus, easing bruising and broken capillaries can be a sign of chronic vitamin C deficiency. Remember, the US RDA is very, very low... RDA recommendations are the levels it takes to keep rats from dying. Easy bruising/broken capillaries are common signs that the capillary walls are fragile and are a possible predictor of cardiovascular disease.
A vitamin C supplement that contains bioflavonoids from various citrus sources would be best, since the bioflavonoids augment the function of vitamin C.
Diabetics often exhibit lower levels of vitamin C, as do the elderly and people on blood-thinning medication.
So, if you have high cholesterol levels, before you try Lipitor or some other pharmaceutical, you may want to consider significantly increasing your vitamin C intake. Eat more fruits and vegetables high in vitamin C, drink organic orange juice, and take a good vitamin C supplement that contains citrus bioflavonoids. I personally take between 3 and 4,000 mg of Nature's Sunshine "Citrus Bioflavonoids" every day and I have really noticed a difference in my bruising.
Vitamin C is also recommended for Raynaud's. Plus, I would add magnesium to help relieve the "spasms" that block the circulation to your fingers and toes. It's interesting to note that migraines are often a symptom of Raynaud's and research shows that magnesium helps migraines. You might also consider a supplement that helps promote circulation and normalize blood pressure if you have low blood pressure. There's a lot of research on the benefits of Hawthorn berries for various circulatory problems. In fact, my grandmother had 80% occlusion of both carotid arteries. I had her start taking an herbal supplement called HS II that contained hawthorn berries, garlic and capsicum (cayenne). The occlusion actually decreased and the doctor told her that whatever she was doing she should keep on doing it!
I really hope this information helps!
