Hi
I'm looking around on this site and I can't seem to find someone who has recovered COMPLETELY from their symptoms.
If there is anyone who has done this then let me know how you went about doing it or how long it took. Also, what were your symptoms and have they cleared up after chelating?
Thanxx

IF WE WERE COMPLETELY BETTER AND HEALED WE WOULDNT PROBABLY BE STILL ON THE FORUM AS YOU WILL LEARN HEALING IS ADIFFICULT PROCESS AND TAKES A LONG TIME

I disagree. I think that even those who HAVE healed already will be very likely to do all they can about teaching others about mercury toxicity since the symptoms are so far-reaching or at least come back to tell everyone how they have progressed. Anyone here that can report improvements in their health from detoxing mercury?? Don't get me wrong. I don't believe that mercury does anyone any good but I DO think that we must learn from those of us who have had success in detoxing so that we can all do the best possible things for our bodies. If not, we're all just flailing about in the dark.
And also, we need to know how much of our symptoms can be attributed to mercury and how much cannot. And which effects are reversible and which are not.

Hey guys,
I just want to add that what might work well for one person might not for someone else. Some people thrive with DMPS, or DMSA, or EDTA...whereas it might make some people quite ill and won't help them. Others do great with chlorella, etc. And I know there are probably "best" practices and some great general guidelines to follow for chelation that can be helpful for most people (it seems like most people favor Andy Cutler's protocol), but it can be unique to the person too. And I think part of it is because we all have very unique health pictures, even if we are all affected by mercury. That's why I wouldn't undertake this sort of task (chelation/detox) without the guidance of an alternative practitioner. And I know that's not possible for everyone - I had to go 2 years without treatment because I had no health insurance. And some others might not have a natural practitioner in their area. So I totally understand that. But if you do and have the means, I would definitely go that route.
I just went to the doctor after flailing about myself for the past two months after my amalgams were removed (because he was so booked up during that time). We decided to go back to the "basics" and put my chelation on hold for now, until we can strengthen a couple of other things in my body (my thyroid and adrenal glands). So for me, that might help me when I do go into an intensive chelation in a couple of months...and doing such an intensive chelation before strengthening those issues might have been disasterous for me. But that's just me, and that's just what my doctor feels is best. While we both understand that I cannot completely heal my thyroid and adrenals until the mercury is gone, I can at least greatly strengthen them, which we feel will help with my detox. He has just had many patients who struggled with chelation/detox because they didn't treat side issues at the same time or else strengthen them before going super intense with the chelation.
Not saying this is the case for any of you, but just possibilities of why I personally feel I need the guidance of an alternative practitioner. All I know is that I struggled on my own, without the help of a doctor for the past 3 years or so, and I wish I had gone to a doctor for guidance with this long ago. I couldn't because I didn't have the resources, but I think it would have saved me a lot of frustration in the long run. And back then I was only doing a candida treatment, and not mercury (until recently). I just thought I would share my experience, and my opinion of caution on going it alone, because mercury detox can be dangerous if not done properly. Hell, it can be rough even doing it "properly" - lol!
Take care, ~Tia
PS - This post wasn't meant to take away from forums like this either. They can be a wonderful source of both knowledge and support, which is why I continue to look for answers on here even though I go to a doctor for this. In fact, I drive my doctor nuts with questions, and my referencing research and things I've heard on here, etc, because I also feel responsible for my own health, and learned in the past that I can't just blindly accept what doctor's tell me.
PPS - I totally understand where you're coming from for asking for some proof or reassurance that some people have gotten better or improved from detox!! I wanted the same thing on the candida forum I was previously on, and I hope to find that on here as well. I do know that Russ and Laura got well from chelation, and a few people on here have talked about some major improvements so far. Some people will stick around forums to help out, discuss the issue, and share what worked for them once they are well. But most people seem to move on. So I think the majority of us on in the stage where we are looking for answers and trying to get well...therefore, still pretty sick! I know that after years of struggling with this I have a hard time being optimistic (and I'm always a skeptic until I research things myself), but I feel there is hope in getting well through chelation!

I don't blame you for being cynical, I am too. But an example of someone improving is a guy called Joey Joe Joe (something like that) on here. He's having the ups and downs now though because he is well and truly chelating the mercury, but has been experiencing some dramatic improvements along the way.
Russ, the moderator and laura, both of them are pretty much cured from this condition.
I am on other mercury toxic forums and many are still chelating, but many are indeed improving. It takes a long time, and there are other complications that can hinder mercury excretion also and ruin a person's recovery from this. Anything that is happening alongside the mercury, chronic fatigue syndrome from a viral infection, other dental issues like jawbone infections, other toxic dental materials.
Or just the long term effects frm the toxicity taking their toll and the person may have some permanent effects from it.
Anything can keep a person down with this. Problem wtih mercury is, it makes you vulnerable to other problems, infections and then when you get an infection, the mercury can cause you not to be able to fight it properly, so you can end up with a chronic ongoing condition from that alone, then with themercury as well? The person often cannot fight either of them becuase their immune system has been hit down so many times their body can't concentrate on mercury if it's attempting to cope with something else.
This is why so many of us have to make MARATHON efforts with our diet, in order just to sometimes put one foot in front of the other and remotely cope. A healthy person doesn't need to do this, but when you have a burdened immune system, you have to try and remove as many added burdens as possible. Not easy to do and sometimes it doesn't seem to matter what the person does, they stay ill.
Also, mercury can end up in the brain, the target point where everything is controlled (immunity, hormones the whole deal). So many people remain sick because they have brain mercury and in order to detox this, they need to use a chelating agent that is able to cross over the blood brain barrier to get mercury out. A lot of people do not know what to use to do this. So those with significant brain mercury are often the ones who stay sick. Others with a body burden can get well easier because the body itself can often release some mercury in those areas, plus it's not too hard to reduce the body levels. The Brain is the one that is difficult.
Agents that detox the brain/nervous system, are cilantro and alpha lipoic acid. However, they are risky because they must be used at the right time, after blood levels of mercury are reduce in hte body, or the person risks further uptake of mercury into the brain if they use these too early on.
Also, people can get very sick if mercury is chelated wildly and not in an even controlled manner. Often it's the method of chelation also that is the key to whether someone will have a successful outcome or not. But again everybody is different, so sometimes no size fits all.
So yeah, many of us simply have a high brain burden. For me? I am scared to chelate the brain because I used lipoic acid too early on and caused horrific side effects from this and now I'm terrified to touch it. But I hope to later if I can.

I have gotten much better from getting my amalgams out..and I am not done yet, I still have 4 root canals and a couple of crowns to be extracted...slowly slowly because of lack of $$$$$. My debilitiating neck and shoulder pain is almost gone, I sleep better and wake up feeling rested and without the sweaty flulike feelings every am...that is if I don't eat sugar or feed more yeast. My blood sugars are more balanced, I am losing weight and I am able to exercise moderately again. I have peace of mind.....anger and depression and anxiety are gone, again, as long as I eat right. I can think more clearly and am much more reasonable to deal with....I don't have those horrible feelings of forboding that always plagued me. Gum and tooth sensitivity is almost all gone...my digestion has improved...my skin and hair is more lustrous...I can't think of them all now...but I anticipate feeling even better after I get the rest of the junk from my mouth and can start chelating seriously.
I think that this illness consumes so much of our lives that when many of us get better we try to cram so much living into our lives that we just want to forget about all that we have been thu. But not me, I hope to make it my mission to spread the word about amalgams and vaccines...I am going to make the best difference I can to improve the health of so many who are ill and dying...I don't care how many people think I am nuts, I am not going away!!!!
Already I have been on 2 yeast forums and have turned so many heads about mercury...one of them shut my threads down cause it was hurting their antifungal sales and the other has embraced me with open arms..not at first mind you...but now it is heartwarming to see how many are seeing improvements just since last November...and I hope everyone of them will see to it that they tell as many as possible...and I hope you all do the same when you are better and you will be better!!!
Best love, Sandi xoxo

Yes, my life and the life of my wonderful business partner, Laura, changed as well, both physically and emotionally. Here's my story: http://herballure.com/mmsThis story does not contain the information about my emotional changes because I only realized the changes that had taken place a few years after the removal. I will be rewriting the story and possibly making a personal video about it soon. I will post links to it on this website. There may also be other sources of mercury that people are not aware of. Our company recently did experimentation and found high mercury levels coming of certain food that may have been sprayed with fungicied, which usually contains mercury. I'll be posting details and a video soon. We're currently crunching the numbers as we took mouth-air samples from well over 100 people with amalgams.
