That is a classic sign of hypothyroidism. Before I got on Armour I used to find that my tongue was too big for my mouth, and I couldn't speak properly. My friend thought I was absolutely crazy when I mentioned it to her. I since found it is to do with hypothyroidism. I'll try to find a link to prove it, otherwise you'll think I'm crazy too. Someone I know went to see Dr Skinner, a very respected thyroid expert in the UK, and he examined her tongue, which was just as you describe. She is now on thyroid meds.
