SINCI HAVING MY AMALGAMS REMOVED I HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME BURNING SENSATION IN MY HEAD THAT I HAD WHEN I FIRST BECAME ILL, ALSO DEPRESSION HAS INCREASED DOES THIS MEAN I WAS EXPOSED TO MORE MERCURY OR THINGS HAVE BEEN STIRRED UP AGAIN

It'll most likely be a combination. Both increased exposure from the removal process itself, plus the general stirring up of mercury in the body producing the same symptoms, settling and then flaring again and so it goes on. I've heard of burning in the head before, it's mercury.

I think you can expect to feel rough for the next few months. I had my amalgams removed nearly 3 months ago, and I have got progressively worse as the body has started to offload the mercury. My symptoms are now as bad as they were when I was at my worst. I am pretty sure that this is to be expected, and you have to get worse before you can get better. Then the recovery should be sustained. I think those that experience a rapid dramatic improvement in health are those who weren't very seriously poisoned. I was, and it is going to take a long time. It's horrid to live through, and depressing and unfair, but there's no way around it. I also have faith that the body will sort itself out in the end - it just takes time. I'm sorry you're having such a hard time.

I totally agree with you Nicola, i had high expectations with mercury removal but feel worse now than before, i had minor changes like my eyes and digestive system got a bit better but to be honest i do feel worse now, thats because we were really poisoned, others who have improvements straight away werent that bad to begin with i suppose.

Dawn, Tracey

I'm just really sorry we're all in this situation. I have been sick for 2 years now, and I have at least another year ahead of me before I can expect to start pulling through. I am one unhappy puppy about this I can tell you, and I hate the impact of my illness on my family when my kids are so young.

Tracey - you might be interested in this. More about mercury and the burning brain.

Thanks for sharing that awesome site Nicola, it has links to so many personal stories and that is what we need to convince people that this thing is real. I have a girlfriend that is addicted to sugar, she has allergies, an autoimmune disease called Wegener's disease, breathing and sinus problems, chronic fatigue and more and she is adamant that mercury fillings are not the cause of it. It is so sad, she is going to die an early death because she won't give up her junk food. So sad.

Thanks again,
Sandi

Hi Sandi, I'm not surprised your friend won't give up her junkfood. The addiction to sugar can be compared apparently to the addiction to cocaine.

I've had the experience of going off sugar years ago, to where I paced the kitchen in tears and I was pulling some of my hair out. I had headaches and I though my head would explode. All that from trying to give up sugar. But at that time, the toxins from eliminating sugar (and gluten and yeast) began to loosen and explode literally out of my head.

Once that was over, the improvement was nothing short of incredible (at that stage when I didn't have all the problems I hve now). My hair changed, my skin and eyes changed. They became younger looking, healthy and my depression was literally gone.

All from giving up sugar, yeast and gluten (wheat etc). The intial effort defeats most people and they cannot keep it up. If only they could battle it out for a few weeks, then the cravings practically disappear.

I wish I coudl get those improvements now with my efforts, but I can't. I have too many things holding my immune system down to really respond to much. Though I HAVE to stick to the diet regardless because I get worse if I don't.

But to know some people could end up getting such an incredible improvement if they made an honest effort to eliminate sugar, yeast and gluten, it's tragic to think that food takes over someone's life to where they cannot bear the thought of not eating certain things. What would they prefer? I find it odd that they prefer their illness, rather than the discomfort of giving up these foods. But that's how addictive it is.

Bex,

I hear you, because I am also on the Whole Approach anti-candida diet that Sandi is on. I've been on it for about 2 1/2-3 years now. But let me tell you, it was incredibly hard to give up - my favorite foods were cheese, anything sweet, and I liked to drink specialty beers. Very hard to give that all up. And there are many reasons for the discomfort, besides cravings and a desire to eat those foods. There is a very big social element to eating. It's hard not being able to find food at restaurants, having to make most everything you eat from scratch, dealing with endless questions from people about why you can't eat these things, to be hungry when you are out of the house and not being able to find food you can have, not being able drink socially (especially when that used to be a big part of social life), etc. And if people use food for comfort, that is a huge layer to peel away on top of everything else. Once I adjusted to the diet and was able to make sugar-free sweet treats, I didn't feel that deprived anymore. But as you said with your experience, it's so hard to get past that initial frustration and set of cravings. For me, the cravings never fully went away, although they did lessen.

On top of all that, I think people are very skeptical that such a diet would truly help them. Between being emersed in a processed food culture - one that does not value anything natural, especially not medicine or foods, and being in denial that these things will help because it invloves a radical life change....I don't blame people for it (or at least I can understand where they are coming from). It took me about 6 months of only doing the diet half-assed, before I realized that I was only getting worse. Then I went full out into doing the diet proper (with a few splurges with pizza each year!), and it truly did help. But I am still sick as hell, and cannot wait to get my mercury detox really under way because I'm sick of battling this. I finally understand why I haven't been able to get well - the mercury would not allow me to heal from the candida. What a mess it all is.....

That's all for my late night ramblings! Take care.

HI gals....I just figured out this weekend that the reason my mouth and gums burn when I eat sugar is because of the mercury tatooing in my gums....you can see the heavy metals in the gumline, especially where there are crowns. The sugar feeds the bacteria and yeast in the teeth and gums, and methylates the mercury which deterioriates the gum tissue even more and makes deeper pockets for more yeast and bacteria to grow...it is a vicious cycle.

And I was the same as Tia Bex, I used to live to eat, literally, almost everything I did revolved around my gourmet meals, cheese, wine, huge dinners. I still go out of my way to make healthy tasty dinners, but I eat eggs and homemade veggie soup almost every day for brunch....food does not take up such a huge part of my life anymore. It was a hard lesson to learn but a good one.

I have lost 12 pounds this summer by not snacking in between meals and doing that has also improved my digestion.

And we have some good recipes to share if anyone needs some gluten free, sugar free treats, don't we Tia?

Bex have you ever tried oil of oregano for the virus, it is supposed to kick out viruses, bacteria and fungus...I haven't had a flu or cold since I have been using it for 3 years.

And I have to stick pretty close to the diet, or I feel much worse, and if I want to do some serious chelation, sugar, gluten and dairy are absolute no no's!!!

Hi Sandi, No I haven't tried oregano oil for the virus, I know it's an antifungal for candida also. It could be worth a try at some point. I'm taking stuff at the moment from a guy that's kind of sponsored me because he wants me to try it and he's paying for it (powerful antioxidant), so I need to kind of see what affect that has on me.

am interested in oregano oil though because I've had it recommended to me before for other things and it might be worth a try at some point.

Yeah, I'm the same, I gotta stick to the diet and especially while chelating too.

thanks for your suggestions sandi. Much appreciated.

Bex
