Hi, I know that in Andy Cutler's book "amalgam illness, diagnosis and treatment", he does not recommend glutathione! This is what he says "Supplementary glutathione itself is of very little value since your gut should digest it. Ifyour gut is not digesting it you will soon start taking other things to make your gut digest it because letting undigested things like glutathione into your bloodstream will soon cause major allergy problems".

As far as I know, he believes it redistributes mercury also and can make things worse.

I think there are ways of increasing the glutathione levels without taking direct glutathione.

vitamin C, vitamin E, selenium etc, plus if you can tolerate it, NAC (N-acetyl cysteine).

but not cysteine itself as a supplement, or methionine, both these redistribute mercury and can make people very very ill. But N-acetyl cysteine is a bit different and can help increase glutathione in the body.

But some don't tolerate it too well, so you can only try and see what your reactions are. But definitely I would not take direct glutathione.

hope that helps a bit.
