Wouldnt it be great if they had clinics where you could stay and be monitered with mercury detox. It makes this illness so frightening that we have to do it alone. Maybe in the future when the whole mercury thing is out in the open they will exist, who knows. im sure i would have started chelation if i was under a doctor in a hospital or clinic. Im way too frightened to do this on my own. i know alot of people have ND's but its not the same as being under someones observation 24 hrs a day, along with other people in the same boat.

I totally agree. It is a scandal that this illness is not recognised nor treated by mainstream health professionals, and that we have to do everything alone. I sometimes feel I am Alice in Wonderland - battling with an illness that no-one acknowledges, nor knows how to treat. Sometimes I think it really is all in my head and I should just take some antidepressants. I know in my gut though that there is something wrong with me, and I have the classic mercury symptoms outlined in Amalgam Illness.
What chelation method are you using? I thought you had started DMSA?

Dawn, it would have to be a dr. who specializes in detox. I have heard of people and children included who have gotten worse and worse under the care of a "dr". There was a recent case in which a young boy died from detox while under a dr's care. That is why I have decided to do it very carefully on my own with occasional input from my naturopath. It seems that evem the drs. who do detox. try to go at it too hard. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

Yeh, i agree, i would only trust someone to look after me if they had been through it themselves. Some ND's from what i have heard havent got a clue, they are only in it for the money. They dont understand that this kind of detox has to go slow or something serious could happen. I think we are probably the experts at dealing with this. Theres some people on this forum that really know their stuff, and im so grateful.
