I think it's something to do with the sulfur that can feed yeast, but also the movement of metals going through the system stimulating further yeast growth at the sametime. Because where there is mercury, yeast tend to thrive and sometime if a person does chelating/detoxing and doesn't do it safely, they can cause a llot of mercury to go into the gut and then this causes an acute yeast infection in the gut because of all the metal that has gone into it.

Yeah, yeast does absorb mercury and that's why it can be risky to use antifungals which can kill yeast too aggressively and then release more metal into the body.

The best initial thing to do is use strict diet to starve candida slowly out of the body and bring it down to healthier levels and then to use chelation safely and at low levels to lower the mercury, whilst sticking to the diet to avoid yeast overgrowth during chelation.

chlorella and candida? Could be the sulfur content that might aggravate or feed candida a little, or the fact that chlorella can redistribute mercury and move it anywhere.
