Hi, I am new here. As of 8pm today I am dental amalgam free. I started my first quadrant in April and finished with my last quadrant today. 1 quadrant a month and I hope I didn't rush it too bad. That's 11 fillings replaced with composites and porcelain crowns/onlays (4). Over $7000 straight out of my pocket and hopefully it's worth it. I have 2 root canals still in my teeth but i couldn't afford to taken them out and replace them so i'll taking a gamble leaving them in (would've cost $16000 instead of $7000). My current symptoms (and pre removal) are headaches (sucks), dizziness, muscle twitches, and burning achiness feeling on my hands and feet. I also have a lot of floaters but i don't associate that with mercury so much...I also have a bit of anxiety/shakiness and i feel a bit depressed but who wouldn't be if they aren't feeling well all the time. My problem started after some bacterial infection and 2 doses of hep b vaccine in april 2004, haven't felt well since. So I certainly don't know if replacing my amalgams is a big waste of money, but i know that if i didn't do it I will never find out.

I am hoping to start chelation of just dmsa and supplements in a couple of weeks. Right now I'm just taking vitamin c, b complet and occasional doses of liver detox tablets.
