A close family friend was recently diagnosed with leukaemia. He has had conventional treatment, but developed Stevens-Johnsons rash, which they believe is allergic reaction to the drugs given, and is not very well at all, very dehydrated.
I'm wondering if anyone can give information on alternative therapies or complementary therapies, so that I can pass it to my friends who want to explore all options.

Our friend died this weekend. I am convinced that the doctors are mostly to blame. First they middiagnosed him and gave him wrong treatment, then they said he had another form of leukaemia and the drugs they gave caused the rash, then they wouldn't give him a drip for 2 days because there was noh docto around to authorise it, even though he wasn't eeating and very dehydrated, then said they weren't sure he had leukaemia after all. So, they took him for a biopsy, even though the anaethaetist said he didn't want to put to sleep someone so weak. The doctors said there was no other choice. A couple of days later he died. Son of a cousin's wife's family also died this week apparently from leukaemia. They gave him drugs that caused a heartattack (at least as far as I understand). He was Downs, but only 17 years old.

Demi, i am so sorry to hear this! My youngest daughter had Steven Johnsons disease at the age of 3. She had a terrible rash all over and swelled up like a balloon and couldnt open her eyes as they scabbed together. it was a reaction from a drug they gave her at the hospital. It was aweful.

Demi, sorry to hear of your friend's death.
We know of a fellow who went in for a routine gallbladder removal. While in there, the surgeon nicked his esophagus and he ended up in ICU. How on earth they nicked his esophagus while removing the gallbladder is beyond me! He has been in there four months. He is now on dialysis and now they say they are going to remove his stomach Are they TRYING to do us in? I definitely try to avoid hospitals. I still have a family to raise. Again, my sincere sympathy in the loss of your friend, especially under such needless circumstances.
