One of my subjects at University this semester is called 'Complementary Therapies in the Health System'. I have to search current lterature (journals, newspapers) for four articles concerning one aspect of complementary therapies.
Whilst I am so engrossed in the whole amalgam thing, I thought I might research the effects of amalgam removal. We basically have to critically evaluate each article and look at whether it is evidence based and or biased toward a particular point of view. It will also contain an integrative discussion highlighting similarities and differences in the selected articles.
Just wondering if anyone knows of any links to some good articles that pertain exclusively to 'removal' of amalgam and subsequent results.
I also don't mind if the results are skewed in favour of amalgam. The more diverse the articles (for and against amalgam) the more interesting it will make my assignment.
If I get a decent grade I may post it on this forum if anyone is interested. Thanks !!

Hi rachie, I don't know if this will be much help, but here is a debate online with one of the top biologic dentist against others in the medical profession to do with mercury amalgam in dentistry and illness. Both for and against and neutral opinions. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Dental_amalgam_controversythat is the link. The biologic dentist in this debate is called Dr Imbeau.

hi Rachie, Check out this site, for Consumers for Dental Choice, they have some good articles that might help with your paper. http://www.toxicteeth.org/mercuryFillings.cfmAlso, try doing a Google for the research and work of Bernie Windham -- he's compiled lots of information. Don't know if it will be specific enough for your needs, but it's worth reading anyway. Here's a link to one of his articles: http://www.home.earthlink.net/~berniew1/indexa.htmlGood luck. SomedaySoon
