HI Demi, hopefuly the solid particle of any amalgam you swallowed will pass out of your system intact. As someoe stated, the vapor from mercury is the bigger issue.

I have swallowed amalgam myself and got very ill from it, but it was because the dentist had already drilled it out, so it was in grains andthen I swallowed the grains and they were easily absorbed and I got so ill, i had tremors on the way home and headaches etc.

You'll know if it did anything because the reaction happens rapidly. So I'm sure you're ok.

But yes going to the dentist is the problem and I totally sympathise, I am a mess from my last visit, but guess what? I have to go back to antoher dentist to get cavitationsdone at some point and incompatibel dental materials replaced.

You have to wonder sometimes do they set out to cause us illness? because they're experts at doing it.
