I think you may be right Alex. You seemed to be pretty strong before but if you had that reaction from HMD, I would hold onto it and do the swamp drink for a couple months first and see again.

The good news is that HMD does mobilize mercury, and although it contains ALA, which I believe is good, the best meter to measure how you're doing in terms of detoxing is how you feel.

Just like taking Vitamin C to bowel tolerance, detox is a process of mobilizing mercury until you start to feel bad, and then backing up a little. You'll still feel worse than usual, any good detox will cause that, but if you feel absolutely horrible, you're moving too much mercury at a time.

ALA does cross the blood brain barrier, which is one reason it's so important in mercury detox. You have to mobilize mercury from the sulphur-rich brain at some time or another, but timing is everything and if you're feeling horrible, it may be time to back off a little and work on the lower organs first.

There are plenty of surprises with mercury detox, but the good news here is that we are able to mobilize mercury in you so now we just have to find a balance you can live with.

Keep us posted.

For those interested, the "Swamp Drink" was my primary method of mercury detox. Here's the recipe:

1 Cup of water
1 Scoop of NutraBurn protein
1/4 to 1/3 Scoop of pH Green Zone (contains Chlorella)

Stir until well-blended and drink.
