Hello to all!
My name is Rok (25) and I am from Slovenia (EU). If someone could give me some advice please help me.
My chronic illnes started in April 2003 when I was 23. I never had any illnes before. First I had problems with constipation and abdominal pain. I have been diagnosed with IBS. At the same time problems started in the mouth. I had sore and painable throat, pain in my right ear, inflammed upper left side of my gum (red colour), pain in my temporamandibular joint and neck muscle on the right, and a lot of mucous all the time. I have been diagnosed with chronic sore throat and TMJ. Then in Avgust - September I realised that I have problems with emptying my bladder, low back pain and sometimes vertigo. Some problems with speech, memory and a lot problems with concentrations started. Then mild pain in elbows and shoulders showed up and joint crecks in knees. I had have a lot stiffness in my legs especialy in ligaments and tendons. I had have a swollen soles and muscles from knees to soles (like water in musclesand around the ancles) . Then in the begining of year 2004 problems with arms weekness and numbnes set in. I noticed tingling in my left leg. Then problems with my bladder became more intense (bad urine flow presure - cant emptying totaly, pain and rarely burning) and neurologist made an EMG on that area and diagnosed cauda equina syndrome. I did a lot of tests and everything had been all right except an EMG. Then in july 2004 the worst symptoms started. And that is fine tremors with more weaknes. 1. left arm, 2. right arm, 3. both legs and than mild tremor in neck. I notice tremors sometimes even in eyelids. People around me say that they cant see any tremors at all, but inside me I feel terrible buzzing, vibration, and restlessnes. The neurologist made an MRI of my spine and spinal tap for oligoclonal bands becouse he thought of MS. The MRI and spinal tap showed nothing specific but he wanted me to repeat a MRI after one year : diagnosis - probable MS. Then in october some rheumatologist diagnosed me with fibromyalgia. I sometimes have clummy palms and have stripes on it. Many times I have dry mouth and 2 or 3 times I noticed metalic taste. In january 2005 problems with my heart started. Sometimes like palpitations, sometimes like nervousnes and allmos all the time like hard not fast but hard beat of heart. I feel sometimes this hard beat in neck or back or in my left arm especialy when I laydown. One or two times I had problems with my eyes too like 2 picture for moment but have had a lot problems with sun light (sensitivites - my eyes water). Of course deppresion and fatigue is present and mood changes. I have 8 negative lyme tests and have some mercury amalgams in my teeth. In addition I would like to tell you that prior to this disease I slept 2 days (december 2002) in my room in a new house. Parquet was freshly varnished and it smelled terribly. Do you think that this varnish could contain mercury, lead or some other heavy metal. I worked at the gas station at this time but we were selling gas without lead.
I hope someone could help me
Thanks to all
Rok from Slovenia
P.S. Recently I ordered Heavy metal screen test for urine and NDF from Bio Ray for challenge. I hope this is the couse of my illnes.

I am so sorry to hear about what you are going through. I am very well versed in recognizing the symptoms/conditions which mercury can cause and you definitely seem to be a candidate. Almost every symptom/condition you describe is a symptom of mercury poisoning. Mercury causes IBS for starters. Mercury causes fibromyalgia. Mercury especially causes tremors. The list goes on and on. Each person can develop different symptoms and or different diseases/conditions from mercury depending on your personal physiology. I would be VERY surprised if mercury were not at the root of your problems, or at least a contributory factor. You can get some excellent information which describes many of the problems/symptoms you have mentioned in a book called "Amalgam Illness, Diagnosis and Treatment" by Andrew Hall Cutler. He is a scientist who became very ill and found out it was from his fillings. He later recovered with amalgam removal and detoxification. He wrote this book to help others figure out if mercury is at the root of their health problems. I believe they still offer his book on this forum, or you can check out his website which includes more info on mercury and his book at www.noamalgam.com. Good luck We are here for you

It could well be mercury. I think the fillings have ruined my health, but I have no proof, and I don't expect doctors to tell me, even if it was. But I think it could well have caused my OCD, which I didn't have until after the fillings. I have suffered so much with this over the past 20 years and other health problems.
I'm going to get my fillings replaced as soon as I can find a dentist I am happy to do it and hope that the problems I get ease. I think it could be mercury because I get compulsions to blink and other things, and my memory and concentration is poor. I was never a sick child until I had the fillings - nothing more than the average anyway.

hi rok
your problems sound like mercury poisoning but they also sound like lyme disease. the symptoms do overlap. For an accurate lyme test (most are not very accurate), you need to send your blood to the bowen laboratory in america. They actually look for the bug in the blood. I have just done my test and am waiting for the results to come back. The test costs $250. Have a look on the internet and contact them.
