Hi All,

I have 5 amalgams + 1 that fell off.
Since I have MCS is it better advised to get one filling removed per sitting?
What about getting them all done in one single setting? Is that too risky?
Any guidance would be much appreciated.

Also my dentist plans to use Helio Molar based on my Cliffords test results and
also Electro Dermal testing of the filling material. Any thoughts on Helio
Molar?

Thanks very much for your help!!!!

Hi rgr,

I'm not sure about how safe it is to get them all removed in one sitting.... This would depend on the competence of the dentist, protection provided and your health status at the time.

A few biologic dentists work by preparing their patients for amalgam removal with a proper diet in place (usually sugar, gluten and yeast free). Which treats both yeast problems that often exist in amalgam patients, improves immunity/gut and liver. And already begins reducing toxicity. Usually encouraging quality protein in meat and eggs and good fats like butter and fish oil (mercury free) etc. This type of diet is supported of course by Hal Huggins.

That plus specific supplementary support/preparation.

Some dentists may work by numbing one corner or one side of the mouth and doing that one side during one sitting and the next side in the next setting.

I did two amalgams at a time personally. That way a corner of my mouth would be numbed and I'd kill two birds with one stone so to speak, so I wouldn't waste the anaesthetic. Plus it wasn't "too" many amalgams at once to risk too much of an exposure in one sitting, but enough to where I wouldn't need to get another anaesthetic in that corner of the mouth again!

There is another positive to having one or two done. If on the off-chance there was any issue with the replacement materials, you're in a much better position if you've only had one or two amalgams done in the stuff, than you'd be if you had your entire mouth done! Perhaps it might be wise to do ONE amalgam on the first sitting and wait for a few weeks to test things out? Then do the other one next to it and wait again. If you feel confident there are no oral or other types of reactions? You might then be able to proceed with more boldness and get more done in one sitting!

Just a thought....

By the way, a biologic dentist I was in touch with in Australia spoke at length with me on email. He was well up on dental toxicities. He admitted to me he mainly uses heliomolar as a composite and cerec porcelain for inlays, because in his personal opinion, they suited most patients biocompatibility wise and both were strong materials.

I can't recall which bonding agents he used. Though "Optibond" rings a bell....There is of course a "heliobond" done by the same company that does the "heliomolar HB".

Good idea by the way to get two different tests done to show up which materials give positive results on both testing methods. Narrows it down a lot more. Though I can't vouch for their accuracy, I know enough biologic dentists certainly feel them necessary.

Hello RGR. How large are the fillings? Can they all be done with composites, or will some require an inlay, onlay, or crown? It is not a good idea to have more than two quadrants worked on in the same day. A quadrant is 1/4 of your teeth, upper right, lower right, upper left, lower left. I am assuming that the fillings are in at least three quadrants, so probably two visits to the dentist are needed, unless some need an inlay, onlay, or crown, then you might need 3 or more visits.

Hi JK! Thanks for very much for your reply. My dentist is going with composites because he feels I grind my teeth and hence ceramic would not be a good option. For the moment there are no plans for a crown/inlay/onlay.
Also another thing he says he can have the 5 amalgams replaced + the filling done in the space of 2-two and half hours. Is taht a reasonable time or does that sound too rushed?
Thanks again,
Rohit

By the way I should mention my dentist is pretty renowned in Amalgam circles. He has written a book called Whole Body Dentistry. He has also fought and won a legal case against the government in CT. Unfortunately I have never managed to speak with anyone who has been treated by him so I don't know how good his dentistry is. I do respect him very much though for the stance he has taken over the years against Amalgams.

Hi Bex,

Thanks for such a detailed response.
I have been preparing myself a fair bit.
I've been on a candida free diet for a few months. I have been taking Homeopathic drainage remedies prescribed by both my dentist and doctor and a bunch of other supplements including stuff from my adrenals such as ACE.
Though I did have a setback in the sense I fell sick a couple of weeks back with a fever and a sore throat during an entire week. I'm still not back to the levels I was at before I fell sick.
My major problem is that I have a huge battery affect in my mouth if I sit in front of a computer/TV or use a cell phone.
I start salivating incessantly and ultimately if I do not remove myself from the device I get a metallic taste in my mouth and a burning sensation.
My dilemma is this-
1) If I get all my fillings removed in one shot I would get rid of the battery affect immediately and will not have mercury leaching into the mouth on an ongoing basis when I sit on a computer etc.
On the flip side, the drill is an electronic device, the longer I have it in my mouth at one stretch the more mercury I will leach and absorb based on the battery affect.
Also if I am sensitive to the materials then having all of them placed in one sitting will get me into more trouble.

2) If I get my fillings removed in multiple sittings, it is quite possible that upon using the drill my fillings which have not been removed may become more highly charged based on the electric impact of the drill. This might result in them leaching more than before as they become more electronically sensitive.

Hope I have stated things clearly.

Also my dentist, in addition to the Clifford test, used Electrodermal Screening to test me against Helio Molar

Thanks again,
RG

Hi rgr,

No problem.

It sounds like you've gotten some very good advice already. I too recall having some homeopathic drainage remedies. I'm sure they all help.

Yes, I fell sick about a month ago with the worst flu I have ever known, which lasted just over a week. The aftereffects and complications have continued. I have not been the same since and am hoping I'll recover soon, as I hope for you also. The fatigue and sleepiness from it has been the worst I've known.

I have heard of this happening and even heard about amalgams picking up radio signals!

I had my amalgams out before I got a computer, but I was still affected by the screen, which I attribute to the remaining toxicity! I had a protective screen put over my monitor and could then tolerate hours of sitting in front of the computer with no ill-effects. Before this protective screen? I used to get VERY ill from sitting in front of my computer with strange sensations in the skin, eyes and head that was last sometime even after coming off it.

I suggest you do the same, if you have not done so already!

I'd limit the cellphone use as much as possible if you can. Is there anyway to reduce what comes off them too?

As for the TV? I don't know what to suggest, other than perhaps you maybe able to get a protective screen for that too which filters the rays that come off it, like the computer screen.

I would not suggest getting them removed in one shot personally. What may seem like a quick fix may not be in the long run for various reasons and some of which you've mentioned above. That plus the unavoidable increase in exposure to the vapor coming off during the drilling. Protection helps, but it's not 100%.

I'm not sure if the electric impact of the drill will cause your undrilled fillings to become more highly charged. I haven't heard this before...If they did, surely things would likely settle again once the dental work is over?

Usually it's wise to leave a couple of weeks or more between removals too. Do not have them removed on the same day! I've heard of some immune cycle too that some feel should be noted! Someone else maybe more familiar with this than me!

There are two reasons for not having them done all at once. The first is that if they are in more than two quadrants, it will mean having a huge amount of novacaine received in a single day. The other reason is that when the amalgams are drilled out mercury is released and some is absorbed into your body. It takes a few weeks after for the mercury level in your blood to drop back to where it was before the removal. Having half done then the other half done a month later would give your body a chance to get the mercury level back down before more are done. While having all 5 done at once is possible, if I were in your place I would choose to have it done in two appointments, spaced a month apart. Keeping your mouth open for over two hours is also quite difficult. I don't recommend it unless it is absolutely necessary.

Hi Bex, ((( Smiles )))

I hope you feel better soon..
The Flu's going around..
5 people got sick and was absent at my daughters summer school class.
So far so good though..
About the dental drill..
Is it high pitched like this???

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bkpUFUJtpHc&feature=related

This sound hurts my ears and my tinnitus starts ringing..
Thats the problem I have with it.
Rest up..
And get well!

Hi Lynn,

Thank you smile I take longer than others to heal I guess because of my immune system.

That sound was awful. The dental drill does not quite have that persistant and awful pitch thankfully or I'd have walked out of the office before even one amalgam had been removed wink Or I'd insist on wearing ear muffs or plugs!

I think tinnitis and things like this can also be related to mercury, but I'm not 100% certain on that! Lynn, do you have amalgams? If so, have you thought of removal? If not, have you tried mercury chelation?

Just a thought. Sorry to hyjack rgr's thread here.

I concur with JK98's comments regarding the pace of removal! Again, there is the added assault of alot of anaesthetic in one sitting! as well as the increase in mercury exposure and uptake into the body at onetime! Already the dental office environment is unhealthy as it's contaminated with mercury vapor on a daily basis. I would never work in a dental office, even if it was biologic. I avoid dental offices now like the plague, as even walking into one has made me more toxic! Without even having anything done and that includes the biologic offices too.

Hi Bex, ((( Smiles )))

Me too!
I take longer to heal and seem to get sicker then some others and it's probably because I have had metallic fillings
in my mouth since I was 9 years old..
I asked my mother recently and she said it was at 9.
And she also said I should have them removed before they end up killing me.
She believes they are really really bad to have in ones mouth too and had her's removed..
I bet alot of the illnesses people get theses days have to do with the mercury in ones body causeing autoimmune diseases
and causeing ones immune system to malfunction and become very weak.
And since I've been on this board it only confirms how really bad it is.
I wish I new this before T&H or even further back but I had no idea they weren't just silver.
Now, I'm also thinking about everytime I go to the dentist for cleaning all the mercury vapor and dust contamination.
If that happened in ones house they would condemn it or make you tear things out..
But it's O.K. for the dentist.
Probably doctors too..
It just keeps getting worse..
So how does one really get away from mercury anyway theses days
it seems you can't.
It's in everything it seems the air we breath what we eat and drink too..
All we can do is pray for God's kingdom to come and clean up this mess of Satans world we live in..
And try to get educated and avoid what we can and detox.
No, I haven't chelated but have taken vitamins and supplements.
I'm glad the dentist drill doesn't have quite that persistent awful pitch but my tinnitus did at one time
it sounded like a tea kettle with a whistle on full steam ahead..
And it was painfull tinnitus and you can see how that could be now.
Liveing with that..
My hyperacusis is alot better so is my tinnitus too..
Thats why I haven't done it yet..
The choices are hard..
Was that sound on that video painfull to you??
Or just annoying..
Earmuffs or plugs just bottle the sound of the drilling more into ones head..
It more about bone conduction at least for me.
The challenges we face in life.
If I only new back then what I know now..
I could have avoided alot of this pain.
Don't we all..

Take Care
Lynn
