I just read that Dove Soap (which I often use) contains mercury.
Anyone know if this is UK Dove soap or some other soap?
Is there any website that contains a list of mercury free products?

In order to avoid hg and all the other chemicals that are in soap (you put this on your body every day), I started using soap from the health food store. It is more expensive (@$1.00 per oz. in USA), but as with everything, you can't compare quality to just a bunch of chemical substitutes. Also, because you aren't drying out your skin with chemicals, you don't need lotions as much and a bonus for me with my MCS, you can get ones sented with only essential oils. Watch out for ingredients that say "fragrance oils" as I found out that some companies (ie. Burt's Bees) use this phrase when they use some essential oils but it also contains synthetic fragrances.

Isn't glycerine soap "chemical" free? It's dirt cheap, so "natural" doesn't always have to mean expensive <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
