Dear Friends of Health Freedom, Congress is expected to vote before August 1 on CAFTA legislation, which would affect the potency of vitamins and other supplements coming and going from the United States to Central and South America. Please call your congressman and ask whoever answers the phone to vote against the CAFTA bill. You can enter your zip code at the website listed below to obtain contact information for your designated congressmen. Please contact them as soon as possible through letter, fax, email, or by telephone. Feel free to use more than one method of contact to be sure your voice is heard! http://www.house.govSincerely, Health Keepers Alliance

Not sure it's it's too late but I just received this: Contacting the White House: e-mail: comments@whitehouse.gov, phone: 202-456-1111; FAX: 202-456-2461 Dear President Bush, As a loyal American I urge you to veto the Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA). CAFTA is a raw deal for health. If we are a signatory to CAFTA, we can expect to see fundamental protections for health traded away. For example, under CAFTA drug makers would be allowed to extend their patents on prescription drugs in participating nations, delaying the release of generic versions and ratcheting up already-exorbitant drug prices. In addition, CAFTA protects agri-chemical companies from releasing patent data on an agricultural chemical after the initial regulatory review, even if the data concerns the safety of the chemical. Under CAFTA, corporations would increasingly be allowed to patent natural life forms, including traditional plant-based remedies. This is wrong. The genetic heritage of plants, animals, and other living things is a part of our planet?s history, a global commons that continues to provide us with safe, natural alternatives to artificial health products. CAFTA would treat our priceless lineage like a shipment of t-shirts?a commodity to be hoarded and sold to the highest bidder. Although CAFTA's initial goals may have been good and laudable, it has become an agreement that is just plain ethically wrong. Wrong for Americans. Wrong for all residents in this hemisphere. Wrong for all future generations. I urge you to please veto CAFTA as soon as it arrives on your desk. Respectfully yours, XXXXXXXXXXXX
