I had two bizarre "hairs" since 2004 that grew out of my neck and two that grew on my chest. I've had hormone problems so I've also had normal stray hair here and there. I plucked them every 24-78 hours. They grew at least a cm under the skin. The one on my chest would often get infected when breaking out of the skin. I scraped off some of the goo and took some pictures as well as the pictures of the bizarre thick mutant hair. What's the white fiber around it? Who knows.

They never came back after I examined them with the microscope.

This immediately makes me think Morgellons'.

Do you think it's related?

I have no idea they disappeared after I examined them. Bizarre.

OK. This is apparently becoming more and more common and is called morgellon's. It is also related to achy muscles and joints.

Do you have any of those symptoms?

Hmm, well I used to but not so much anymore.

I have chronic fatigue syndrome so I get a lot of pains all the time...
