This is what I found reading Encarta encyclopedia when I did a search on mercury poisoning.
I find it interesting what it said about Albumin. I have avoided drinking milk due to candida but now having read that milk contains albumin perhaps I may want to change that habit.
Any thoughts on this? I would be curious to find out what other foods contain albumin and may help with mercury poisoning..
'Albumin, one of a class of simple proteins, composed of carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, and a small percentage of sulfur. Albumin is coagulable by heat, mineral acids, alcohol, and ether and is soluble in water and in a weak salt solution. An important part of the diet, albumin is present in such animal tissues as egg white, milk, and muscle and is found in blood plasma; it occurs also in plants, especially in seeds. Because albumin coagulates when heated to 71° C (160° F), it is useful for removing cloudy precipitates, thus clarifying solutions in sugar refining and other processes. Albumin forms insoluble compounds with many metallic salts, such as bichloride of mercury, sulfate of copper, and nitrate of silver, and is, therefore, used as an antidote to these poisons. A paste made of albumin mixed with slaked lime sets to a mass of stony hardness and is used as cement for broken earthenware.'

I can't say I have noticed any particular health problems from drinking milk. I don't do too well with fruit, eggs or onions.
Is there any difference between drinking goats or cows milk?
Maybe when I've had the fillings replaced and I start to get better (which is what I hope) then I'll be able to say better what affects my health. I haven't been "well" for 20 years, since I had amalgam put in, so I don't really know the impact certain things have on me.

I think I may have been wrong about milk. I think it might be giving me rhinitis. I'm experimenting at the moment and am taking soya milk instead. I thought it was fruit giving me a problem, but may have been milk aswell.

I am currently reviewing several DVDs that I may be offering for sale on our website ( http://herballure.com). One of the videos is an in-depth lecture from Dr. Boyd Haley about mercury toxicity and autism. He said something to the effect that milk blocks the elimination of mercury and has caused mercury toxic patients to become more sick. I do not remember the information exactly so I'm only mentioning it here preliminarily. I will post the details when I actually do the "write up" and have the specific quote(s). to share.

milk is known to be highly inflammatory, as are metal toxicities, to the point many people such as myself can feel the inflammation and increase of mucus after milk exposure. Sure there are some good ingredients in milk, but it would probably be better to ingest them without the added inflammatory.

I used to drink milk all the time -- but after I stopped, (because of hearing how it is full of hormones and steroids, etc., ) my complexion cleared and I had much less congestion! Even less floaters in my eyes!

Hi everyone,
from my personal experience i can honestly advise STAY AWAY FROM MILK AND DAIRY!!! Ive tested it on myself by having dairy and being sick for days and not having dairy and being "ok" Dairy exaggerates ALL my symptoms, and soy milk has been my best new discovery as its taken away the severe PMS i had.

Same here with the acne and congestion. Not to mention I just am too nauseaus to think of milk. So I guess my body sent out a cue not to drink it.

I personally drink raw unprocessed dairy from grassfed Jersey cows, and really think it helps me out. I tried going without dairy but I really do feel better when I drink raw dairy.
There is a world of difference between raw high quality dairy and the stuff you can find at the supermarket though. The latter one shoulf be avoided IMO.

The dairy statement is on the DVD entitled something like:
Mercury and it's relationship to neutological diseases.
We were going to sell it on our website but we never received any response to emails from IAOMT when we emailed them asking about their resale policy. So, we put a single copy up for sale on our website just to see if it would even generate interest and we soon received a—shall I say—"very memorable" phone call from Boyd Haley's wife (Sandra) demanding that we remove the DVD because we hadn't received permission to sell it. So, for now, you'll have to muddle throught the maze at the IAOMT website to find it.
I'm pretty preplexed about their sales policy and I've got a pretty bad taste in my mouth about the whole ordeal but I know Boyd is doing some good work in this area and I hope the information finds a way to get to the public somehow.

I found this mention about milk causing mercury retention a couple weeks ago because I wanted to post about it on another board. http://eatingalive.com/windham/windhamC.htmMilk increases the bioavailability and retention of mercury by as much as double (22, 68, 69) and mercury is often stored in breast milk and the fetus at much higher levels than that in the mother's tissues (22, 69). Mercury is transferred mainly by binding to casein (68, 24). (8th paragraph)

I am getting a lot let mucus stuff aswell since I cut out dairy. The weird thing is that where as once I loved milk and cheese, I have no desire now to eat them. I drink rice milk now, which I prefer to the others, and have found it to do just as well, even in custard. I found I wasn't reacting too well to a lot of soya, so now I only really have it in chocolate. I do have a soya based cheese that I use as flavouring, but in small amounts.

"milk causing mercury retention"
That also explains why my children as babies became allergy to the milk based formula around the time of their shots. They had terrible reactions and at the time.. I believed it was the milk somehow a milk allergic reaction of some kind as I didn't know what else it could be?? and changed them to soy.. They eventually improved but thoses reactions.. Know that I look back on it it was probably caused by vaccinations and the milk made it worse. It was just mother's intuition it being the milk based formula. I didn't know the shots were harmful or had mercury in them back them. I feel so decieved by them. For what they didn't tell us they must have known themselves. Because of the insert in the packageing that we didn't get to see.. So they must of knew it was in there. The whole time. I'm not a milk drinker myself. We drink rice milk around here too.. Not sure how good anything is anymore. Really.

To quote myself, the reason pasteurized milk blocks mercury excretion or may be bad for us, is because it makes a slimy film inside the intestines that blocks food and nutrient absorbtion, just found out... but then again that wold also be good in a two edged sword kind of way, because it also should hinder mercury re-absorbtion via the intestines too... my tought, or maybe not... but there is something to take, an enzyme that breaks down that mucus film from the milk in the intestines! I don't remember the name of it, but it is supposedly something new on the market...

Well I shall soon find out how different Raw milk is. I have not touched milk in almost 2 years. After reading about many benifits of raw milk I think I will give it a whirl once things settle down. I found an amish co-op near me and I'm all over it.

Hi Inert, (((( Smiles ))) Thats true.. I did both.. Breast fed plus used formula as I had twins and was very weak as I had eclampsia and was in the hospital for along time. So I had to do both. I was very weak for along time. Plus, if the mercury ect wasen't in the vaccines.. I think they probably could have handled it. They became allergic to the formula. It wasen't from day one but around the time of the shots. I don't think they got a shot as a newborn because they were in the hospital too, because of the eclampsia. Very weak at first. I think it was around 2 or 4 months.. I wrote it down somewhere. But after I stopped the milk based formula and used soy instead.. they finally recovered from that extreme reaction I saw, and stabilized. It happened to both of them. They got vaccinated at the same time. I think if I did not stop the milk based formula they would have expired from so called crib death. I really believe that. They were haveing breathing problems too from it. Gaps in breathing at times.. It must of been the mercury's reaction with the milk somehow. I thought they just developed a milk allergy somehow. I didn't know what it could be.. as there was really nothing else but the formula. Did not know about the mercury in thoses shots. Nobody mentioned it to me back then. And the doctor didn't seem concerned he just told me it was O.K. to switch to soy. I didn't question it because I had no idea that there were toxins included in those shots. Now I know, but wish someone told me back then. I would not have allowed it if I knew. The problem is that babies need human milk not cows milk
