Hi again,
I know this might sound ridiculous or absurd. But I am wondering whether this is mercury related. Lately, and many times before, I notice that the skin on my finger tips and sometimes my lips is becomes incredibly thin, extremely sensitive. Skin even cracks and bleeds.Right now it is not bleeding but it is as though I dont even have digital prints! It is very weird.... It is sometimes painful to touch things. I have had allergies on the skin on my finger tips all my life (little bubles filled with liquid that then break off and then skin starts peeling off). But this is different. It is not peeling off, jus becoming very thin and red. Anyone has experienced this?
Thanks again for taking the time to read this post. Alicia

For many years I've had extremely sensitive skin in some parts of my body - especially my lower legs (below the knee) and my abdomen/waist. Sometimes I would get it on my arms too. I never knew what it was, but I think mercury causes it by it's effect on the nervous system, but I don't know.

Alicia, Just read your post on thinning skin... This is something I have been dealing with for the past 3 years or so. My skin does not break or bleed but it is thinning all over my body and I feel like my skin is like an 80-year-old's skin. I'm only in my forties and so I find this very distressing. It is very "crepi" (like crepe paper) looking and at places it is almost as if I can "see" through it. I don't know what solutions there might be to this, other than reducing the mercury load in the body and thereby hopefully the skin will repair itself like all the other things affected by this poison. If you know of anything else that might help I'd love to know about it--meanwhile, I share your concern. Chelan
