Thimerosal Not Just In VaccinesI came to know first hand that mercury is not just relegated to the kingdom of the vaccine. It turns out that ear drops have thimerosal as the preservative agent. Apparently an ear canal of mine is unique in its narrowness. As such, it requires periodic syringing so that I can regain my hearing (after the procedure, my right side of my jaw feels pretty funny, presumably because pressure that was once there is now gone). This time Neomycin and Polymyxin B Sulfates and Hydrocortisone ear drop solution was perscribed to me. After picking them up today, I read the label and came to know that neomycin can actually kill hairs vital to hearing (and reduce hearing). Moreover, the suspension contains .01% of our old friend thimerosal; probably not enough to do an adult male much harm, but why chance killing ear hairs and dealing with a heavy metal? Lesson is that you should check your medicine before you put it in you! Mine is not coming out of its seal! Source: http://goldismoney.info/forums/showthread.php?t=333275

Interesting! I also found out that it is in over the counter anti-bacterial liquid soap as well. I read about it in Woman's World magazine a few years ago. They mentioned not to use anti-bacterial soap if you are trying to lose weight, as the thimerasol stresses the thyroid and thus metabolism.
I bring my own bar of natural soap to work in a portable soap container and wont use the anti-bacterial stuff.
