Has anyone had this at 1 year post amalgam removal? It is excruciating...ribs feel like they may be broken..They don't hurt much when I lay flat..want to lie flat on hard floor but can't get back into w/chair if I try it alone...any ideas? I keep wodering if it's because I lean to the right in the chair. I am sooo sick of this..

Pain below your right rib cage may be your liver. It can hurt when you breathe and may even radiate into the right shoulder.

thanks Birdlady..being that I am always in a sitting position, I'm hoping it has to do with that not liver. The pain/soreness goes from under front rib and around to the side and back. Maybe a merc dump?

We're even looking at a zero capable Back Saver's bed. It adjusts to an almost floating position. Ribs can be out of alignment...

thanx jeanie! I forgot I am very out of alignment due to whiplash years ago ...detox makes my spine go out again and again. I would have to pay chiro every 2 hrs to keep it in permanently..if i could just even lay flat on floor, but can't get up and into w/chair after. also have osteoarthritis, stenosis

How long have you had this? Do you think it is from your digestive system? Do you have digestive symptoms? Is the pain worse a few hours after eating? Sometimes people with candida problems produce plenty of gas, and at times if the gas builds up, it can be quite painful. Perhaps certain foods might trigger this? Another thought is that some supplement you are taking might be irritating your digestive system. Are you taking an iron supplement? Certain forms of irom are very irritating to the digestive system. Can you think of any supplements that you added soon before this problem started?

I see an orthogonal chiropractor. They never crack necks. Instead they use this thingy that shoots sound waves to adjust the actual atlas when it is out. I feel it immediately and it also has shown up on x-rays. My atlas was quite out when I first went to him and then went the whole other direction (out) when I also had whiplash. Since they did surgery my neck rarely goes out. Actually hasn't since right after. It is stabalized with the metal plate now which is good, but tension builds, now, in my upper back between my shoulder blades pretty bad and my lower back is very sensitive. I had just a percutaneous discectomy at L5-S1 long ago which just sucked out the mushy grey gunk that had become my disc so not much is left and now there is bulging a higher level up (so 3 levels up). L-3 is now torn, too, after the wreck. But I had a mild scoliosis before any of it already which is probably what made me more delicate and vulnerable to getting hurt. Still, I'm straighter now than I have been for decades. I use to have a pelvic obliquity, one shoulder was visibly higher than the others, etc. etc. When the atlas is out it causes the rest of the body to have to compensate. I'm sorry you're suffering like this. Did you indicate being in a wheelchair? Personally sitting is the hardest thing I do and couldn't do that. I carry around a chair pad with me everywhere. Don't know what it looks like to others, but I need it for survival so have gotten past worrying about how it looks.

Hi Katson,
Mercury accummulates, particularly in weakened/damaged/blocked areas. That's something that I found out when poisoned. I'm wondering if it's possible that it's done so in this area you are mentioning here and why post amalgam removal it would make sense for things to become heightened - as they often do in post removal.
As the body then tries to expel stored mercury (which is a slow and often very painful process), the areas that require healing may often be the most exaggerated in symptoms. Either because mercury is in those areas, OR because it's indirectly affecting those areas even though it maybe elsewhere in the body (or brain).
I used to get pains in my bones and find it agonising to change positions when I was sitting down. And this was exaggerated post amalgam removal to quite an extreme at one point. I was healing, but I felt I was worsening at the time. The areas that require healing can produce symptoms of healing like heat/burning sensations, itching/tingling and/or pain and even swelling.

If you don't think it is a digestive problem, then it may well be a liver issue. Are your liver function tests normal? if so, then perhaps you should focus on using detoxification herbs and drinking more water. Are you taking very large doses of vitamins? Some vitamins and minerals can be toxic in great excess.

I still think this pain could be the liver.

I still think this pain could be the liver. Anythings possible, but she has back issues. Do you? Sometimes its hard to understand when you've never experienced it. People have a hard time comprehending how hard it is for me to sit. Did you read what she wrote above after the intitial question?

If my input is not wanted here, then I will leave indefinitely. Obviously both of you have already decided that it is the back and nothing else. Fine! I personally like having everything on the table rather than choosing the one thing that sounds like a good idea. I do want to defend myself here a bit because I feel you've attacked me. I don't even understand what the hell I even did to deserve that sort of thing. I read every single post in EVERY SINGLE THREAD on this forum. I choose NOT to respond A LOT of the times. For this one, I really think it is probably her liver. The location she is describing is exactly WHERE A LIVER PROBLEM would hurt if is it going to hurt. Sometimes you get NO LIVER pain with a liver problem, sometimes it is very painful. Why is it hard for you to consider that she probably has more than 1 problem going on? The pain must be pretty bad to make a post about it and I thought I'd offer advice. After hearing some more, I still think it could be her liver. Rather than ASSUME it is not, maybe it needs looked into. If everything comes back clean, then at least you know it isn't the liver and can move on from there. Don't assume it's a back problem when you have done nothing to rule anything else out. I am definitely finished with this thread.

Are you overweight? Perhaps it might be problems with your abdominal muscles(obliques?). One other thought just occured to me that if the problem is more towards the back, it might be a kidney issue. I am glad you are feeling better drinking more water. Sometimes when people are ill they may not drink enough water. If someone's body is quite toxic due to mercury or cndida, then they need more water intake to help eliminate toxins. Too much water though causes accelerated loss of minerals and water soluable vitamins, so one needs to find a reasonble balance.

Bird, This misunderstanding is probably my fault as I haven'nt been very clear...My bloodwork is very good according to mainstream dr.(means next to nothing to me considering the source) My sister went to the same dentist with me back in the mid '70's She had to have a liver transplant 2 yrs ago.The family has disowned me as I kept screaming about hg but notice she's had all amalgam removed now
I have taken liver suppliments for a long time now but I can't discount any thing. Also I did injure my right ribs falling in bathtub (2003) I slipped trying to get up. So if hg effects old injuries, my hip and ribs qualify.
Also, my place is not set up for wheelchair access so I have to sidle up to everything (sink, stove, fridge, shower , computer etc, always reaching and leaning to the right.
It is very hard for me to even type for lengthy periods on this computer (notice my posts are pretty short) Please know your input is very valuable to me and appreciated greatly, kathy

I should've thought before sending it. Didn't mean to offend you. But there is an old adage Drs. have used with me in the past - KISS - (Keep it simple stupid). Not calling you stupid.....that's what the acronym stands for. She knows she has back problems already. Things should never be ruled out, though. You're right. But unless she's yellow....or her enzymes are off. Why get all dithered up? I have a bad back myself and you'd be surprised how many people don't comprehend how that feels until they have something happen that way to them. All of us need to detox, etc., but it just doesn't sound like gall stones or whatever to me. And she said she had her lab work done already once. But I have a "prejudice" I suppose with regards to back issues, too. After all - she's in a wheel chair. Of course those kind of issues all cause issues, too, systemically. Affects the nerves, etc.

That reminds me of my situation. I tripped on a pile of slabs of stone around 30 years ago, and my leg muscle was very sore and bruised for a few weeks. Many years later, when I get fibromyalgia attacks, it is often that muscle that aches, while the same muscle in the other leg doesn't ache. I guess if the injury was severe enough, there may be a permanent change in the muscle.

My husband just told me about this device he found out about today. Drug reps don't want people to know about. http://alpha.stim.com Check it out! (if the web site is off just do the alpha.stim.com part)
