Hiya again,
A friend of mine has been showing allergic symptoms from his tooth fillings which he is going to get checked out very soon. But he's just swallowed a large filling which came out about a month ago.
Will it have passed through his system mostly or has he digested the mercury into his body?
He's gone very tired and suicidal/rage-ridden but taking a lot of suppliments and vitamins to get him through the day. It's just dawned on me that this may be why he's gone so down and depressed and sick.
Considering he swallowed a couple of grammes worth of mercury what should he be taking to combat the poison?
Thank you so much. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

It takes a while for mercury to do its damage in the body, so I doubt if your friend is showing any signs from swallowing this filling yet. He should take plenty of the antioxidants, vitamin C, E, B complex, etc. to counteract the damage. Eventually, if he becomes sick with mercury poisoning, he will have to have his fillings removed and do chelation.

I have to disagree with Sandra in that there will be problems from swallowing an entire filling. Read Dr. Huggin's book- this is why it is so important to use the rubber dam during removal so as not to swallow bits of the filling. I'm not sure what he should do about it though other than perhaps Algin and selenium to help take it out of the body.
