According to Hal Huggins sea salt should not be used. Anyone else heard this? He didn't go into his reasoning other than it being poluted...

yeah, i heard sea salt might be polluted. The sea is polluted so why can't the salt be?

If you are worried about pollutants in salt, then you should get some rock salt. Himalayan rock salt is considered to be the best. Google it, you will find many hits. i take some every day.

I use Redmond's RealSalt. Its mined from an ancient seabed in Utah, so its sea salt but from millions of years ago. I really like it a lot, and trust it more than celtic sea salt which is considered top of the line.

Sea salt may not be as well tested as regular table salt for mercury and other toxins. Some sea salt might not be tested at all.

That is what I use too. Sometimes I absolutely crave it on lemons, etc. Must need the minerals.

the difference between regular rock salt and himalayan rock salt is that the himalayan salt has had a mountain sitting on top of it for millions and millions of years. the pressure of the huge mountain sitting on top of the salt compressed the salt into a crystaline form. If you know anything about crystals you will know this a good thing...if you know nothing about crystals you will think its a boat-load-of-crap.

If you want to feel the difference for yourself.... do a rock salt detox bath(or sea salt). about 1Kg of salt in a hot bath for 30 minutes then a 30 second cold shower at the end. you will feel great.

then another day, repeat but this time with 1kg of himalayan salt....100pct you will feel the difference....blew me away...very powerful healing experience with the himalayan salt.
