Hi all!

I have MCS that was brought on following a tooth cleaning performed by an IAOMT dentist. I wish I had stuck to my guns about not having my cleaning done but he seemed so confident in doing it right that I took a leap of faith. Anyway that is water under the bridge now...

Its been a few months since that happened and now I have just seen another dentist to start working towards amalgam removal.

The question is do I work on resolving the MCS somehow prior to getting my amalgams removed or do I get my amalgams removed and worry about the MCS being alleviated through chelation following the removal.

I am worried that my MCS could become much worse due to the Hg
exposure in the removal process (despite all precautions).

Thanks in advance for your help.

RG
PS - I am taking some homeopathic drainage remedies for my liver and kidney.

Hi Rg,

Both mercury and candida (and no doubt other things) can be responsible for MCS. Though mercury maybe at the bottom of it, since mercury lowers immunity and can allow yeast to flourish, thereby increasing toxicity, lowering immunity even more and things like MCS can occur.

If it's any consolation, when I had amalgams, I also had MCS. I went on a yeast diet and the MCS improved markedly. Though the underlying condition was still there, I was much healthier.

I suggest treating candida at this stage to prepare you for amalgam removal. To increase your health, immunity and reduce toxins inside your body. A dentist here in my country, will not remove amalgams from his patients, unless they are treating their yeast. That's how common it is and how bad it is.

You need to totally eliminate sugar, wheat/gluten, yeast, coffee, honey from your diet. This may also include high carbohdyrates like all grains, fruits, milk (because of lactose, which is a natural sugar), potatoes/corn/peas/beans/carrots etc (high carb vegets).

You may get away with "some" of the high carbs in natural foods, you may not. Either eliminate or at least reduce. But at the very least totally get rid of sugar/wheat/gluten/yeast. They seem to be the worse culprits (at least they were for me).

Safe foods are meats, eggs (free range), chicken, liver, low carb vegetables, yoghurt (sugar free and plain), almonds/brazil nuts, herbal teas (you may get away with black tea).

Wheat by the way is treated apparently with mercury fungicide. So it's best to eliminate it anyway, but also because it's a gluten grain. Gluten can cause awful problems in many people. Gluten is in rye, barley, wheat, etc.

Get plenty of healing fats like butter, extra virgin olive oil, fish oil (mercury free brand), lard is also ok.

If you do all this, you may get a detox reaction. Your symptoms may increase or other symptoms may occur, over the time your body is trying to heal and get rid of the toxins. It may take a few weeks before you start noticing real improvements. It is worth sticking to it.

you can add vitamins/minerals - vitamin mineral powder mix for example, extra vitamin C in powder with bioflavanoids, vitamin E (soy free), selenium, zinc, magnesium etc.

This can be in preparation for amalgam removal. Then if you get a good biologic dentist who gives full protection, you might be wise to start getting your amalgams removed.

Molybdenum supplements (500 mcg to 1 mg) a day will help with mcs. So will eliminating sugar, alcohol, and carbohydrates from your diet. You could also eat a clove(section) or two of raw garlic each day after a large meal. olive leaf extract, B vitamin supplements, and plenty of vitamin c might help. Avoid all fragrances and scented products. MCS may also be caused or worsened by intestinal parasites. Doing some parasite cleanses may also help. Amalgam removal may initially make the MCS worse, but several months later it might subside quite a bit.

Thanks very much for your response and all the meaningful information.

I have been following a rotational diet for a few years now and have eliminated gluten, dairy and sugar completely for a while.
I do consume some fruit like melons, pomegranate, papaya and Kiwi. I also consume carrots, jicama, hummus (based on garbanzo beans).
Based on your post it seems I need to stop those.
I would like to get my amalgams removed this month. Do you think 2-3 weeks of this diet and a Candida elimination supplement should be good enough? Or do I necessarily need to eliminate the Candida before I get the amalgams removed.
Based on your post it seems I should be able to get my amalgam removed as long as I have started working on the Candida.
Also I consume 1 tablespoon of Manuka honey a day. I am told it has anti parasitic properties.
I consume a host of vitamins and minerals such as Vit C, Magnesium, Calcium, Vit E, Vit D, Multi - Vitamin, DHEA, Heavy metal free fish oil, Coq10, Milk Thistle and supplements like Pregenlone, Ashwagandha & Maca for my adrenals and hormonal balance.

Thanks
RG

Thanks very much for all the helpful information.

Any specific Molybdenum supplement that you can recommend?
The liquid supplements I have found contain lactic acid and Sodium Benzoate, both of which I try and avoid.
Also any specific Parasite Cleanse that you could recommend.
Something that is light on the liver.

I do add garlic to my food and chew on cloves at different points during the day and have eliminated teh use of fragrances etc.

I tend to salivate excessively if I run into a strong fragrance, if i watch my flat screen LCDTV or in the presence of cleansing agents they use to clean floors in public places.
Does anyone have a similar experience.

Thanks again,
RG

I don't follow a rotational diet personally - I find that I do ok as long as the yeast is at more reasonable levels. Also some foods can create healing symptoms and be mistaken for allergies etc. I am not too sure about rotating foods, unless you feel it really does help you.

If you are really serious about treating yeast, you must eliminate all fruit - apart from lemons/tomatoes. Fruit sugars can have potential to feed yeast as well, or almost as well as ordinary sugar. So can other higher carbohydrate foods, depending again on how bad your condition is.

2-3 weeks can be enough for some, not enough for others. For me it can take over a month and up to 2 months before improvement is noted. Sounds alot, but if you are really ill and your immunity is challenged enough, it can take alot for any healing to take place. The diet should be enough to deal with candida. Supplements can "help" but they can also be too extreme in their action and create too much die off, too soon and release the inner toxins of the yeast and any metals that might be contained within. Yeast can contain significant heavy metals. Antifungals work by breaking yeast cell walls open. If this happens in large numbers and the yeast contain metals, you can get seriously poisoned as a result.

I would concentrate on adjusting your diet first before considering antifungals. Also, there are plenty of foods that act as natural antifungals (even butter believe it or not). Onions, garlic etc. These can be enough and even virgin coconut oil. But be careful not to overdo it, you can make yourself very sick in the process. Restricting the foods mentioned can cause enough die off by themselves without too many antifungals on top of it. Your liver also has to handle all this and you can overload it by doing too many things at once.

I'd do the diet first personally. Probiotics may help also, but probably more effective after you have lessened more yeast.

Honey has many qualities, but fighting yeast is not one of them. In fact, honey for some people is as bad as consuming straight sugar. I cannot have honey. It fed my yeast as badly as sugar did. Though it's got so much good going for it, it will not do much for you if the yeast is thriving on the natural sugar. You will be defeating the purpose. In fact, giving up honey alone, even though I was not having sugar caused die off symptoms. I was unable to make progress until I did just that.

I think your supplements sound just fine - you might want to add selenium. Very powerful in regards to mercury and a powerful antioxidant. Great with vitamin C and E, but better taken about 2 hours away from vitamin C apparently for more effectiveness.

Fruits, honey, high carb vegetables, milk/cheese/cream and grains (even not wheat/gluten) can all have potential to feed yeast, particularly in someone with a bad enough case of it and/or has too many challenges going on at once.

The only dairy apparently that is allowed is butter and acidophilus yoghurt (plain/sugar free).

If I were you, I'd get stricter and see what happens. If you begin to experience die off? Then wait things out. You'd be wise to hold off amalgam removal until things settle and the die off toxins are out of your system. OTherwise you'll only be going into the dental office in a vulnerable state with a body already in a process of detox and trying to cope with die off toxins. Even if you don't notice much of a die off process, you may still be healing.

I know it's frustrating, and it may take a few weeks, but I would definitely do it. You can always loosen up your diet later/post amalgam removal if you want to experiment. But before amalgam removal, I'd go for it and seriously address the yeast. I think there is a certain amount of yeast growth as a result of heavy metal environment and perhaps it does act as a kind of buffer. However, I believe the rest is down to a lowered immunity, poisoned body and a system unable to keep yeast at a certain level. Eating ANYTHING the candida overgrowth can thrive on at this point, can be a big mistake. It can grow out of control very easily in such circumstances and make a bad situation FAR worse.

Mercury is bad, so are the toxins from candida. In fact, so bad they are, that they were enough to cause me to contemplate suicide. The toxins also get into the brain too and I had no idea that such a diet might actually save my life. It's not a cure, (unless a person has a temporary case of candida from a course of antibiotics) if the underlying condition is mercury or viral for exmaple. But it's a great help and a great relief on the immune system/gut/liver etc and helps a person handle mercury better and detox easier.
