I developed CFS in 1994 and kept searching for answers. I was finally diagnosed with mercury amalgam illness and upon testing my levels turned out very high. I had amalgam removal per Huggins protocol exactly in 1999. I did not do any chelating. 2 years ago, bipolar disorder decided it was also coming on board (also a cause of mercury). Is it too late for me since I did not chelate back then or could I still begin chelation now and get well?? I will only chelate per Andy Cutler's protocol. Can DMSA be obtained without a prescription. I could use ALA but it's more comfortable and you have less side effects if you use them both together.
What do you all think? Is it too late to get well?

No, it's not too late to get well. If you choose Andy's protocol, please share with everyone how it goes. Best of luck! PS - I took Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) for 3 days and had such a bad headache that I had to stop. The headache diminished slowly over the next week but lasted a total about 7 days. This was shortly after the removal.
