I have been on the kelp for two weeks now and needless to say feel better some days and today it's just horrible, I took too much yesterday and wow it sucks! I had no idea about Bromide before or what detoxing it could do, but like Birdlady said I feel the detox symptoms of it now and they are pretty tough! I mean seriously I read about it and I have all the symptoms from the aching kidneys, thirst, depression and almost all the symptoms it says (I HOPE I do not get hair loss though). Birdlady is detoxing this what gave you your hair loss? I know Kelp or Iodine will help cleanse these metals out of your body, check this page out. http://www.breastcancerchoices.org/bromidedetoxsymptomsandstrategies.html

It appears you need other minerals in you for a safer Detox, like Zinc and Magnesium, so I need to start taking some Magnesium to allow detox even better or make it safer. Read about this Birdlady and see if you had any of these effects. Bromide Detox in Iodine Users Some people supplementing iodine have reported symptoms consistent with "bromism" or bromide detox as catalogued by the Department of Defense's Rand Corporation Report on the Gulf War as well as published dermatology , toxicology and psychiatry literature. Where does all this detoxed bromide coming out our tissues come from? Please look at the evidence of the increasing bromide dominance condition in our environment and products. Because iodine was not supplemented much before the last three years, few physicians have had a chance to look closely at the occasional symptoms which arise from iodine supplementation (still called "iodism") and raise questions. Might the historical observation of iodism be due principally to massive amounts of stored bromine leaving the tissues and entering the bloodstream? Is it possible the apparent adverse effects of iodine are due almost exclusively due to bromide excretion, and not enough iodine-alone effects can be documented to qualify as an "ism" ? Might the iodism phenomenon be more appropriately called "bromism"? **For those using iodine therapeutically, these symptoms are NOT common, are usually TRANSIENT in nature and are easily usually remedied by a salt loading procedure, variations of which have been used for many years. One of the principal therapeutic actions of iodine is the removal of toxic bromide from the body, so bromide detox is necessary. The objective of orthoidiosupplementation is to promote detox while at the same time keeping symptoms at a tolerable level. Many of the Breast Cancer Choices' Iodine Investigation Project registrants also found the following suggestions helpful if bromide detox symptoms were not tolerable. Consult your doctor before implementing the strategies below: Bromide Detox Strategies 1. Salt Loading. See sidebar. 2. Stopping iodine for 48 hours to rest the kidneys. 3. Reducing the iodine dose temporarily, then working back up. 4. Taking several grams vitamin C spread out throughout the day along with the Iodine Companion Nutrients. 5. Drinking more water. 6. Pulse-dosing (stopping and restarting iodine therapy.) 7. According to Iodine users with skin symptoms, adding 25 mg zinc often helps. Iodine-related bromide symptoms may include but are not be limited to: eye lid twitching foot twitching tingling in hands or feet dark thoughts (e.g., there is no reason to live) depression (e.g., there is no reason to get out of bed) anxiety emotionality mouth and tongue sores and cuts or "sore mouth" "different" acne,"bromide acne," "acne-like eruptions" without "coniform." (Some iodine users found zinc helps bromide acne.) skin "cuts" hair loss brain fog leg and hip ache (feels like arthritis) rash (bromaderma) metallic taste sinus ache runny nose headache sedation lethargy odd swallowing sensation (reported in old medical literature as "swollen glottis") body odor (bromos is Greek for stench) unusual urine odor dry mouth ureteral spasm, frequent urination (mistaken for urinary infection) diarrhea constipation vision changes irritability increased salivation dream changes hormone changes kidney pain References: A Review of the Scientific Literature as It Pertains to Gulf War Illnesses: Pyridostigmine Bromide Vol. 2 by Beatrice Golumb, MD, PhD, http://www.gulflink.osd.mil/library/randrep/pb_paper/

Hi Sean,
Yes, the detox just from replacing minerals/essential elements alone can be significant. So it won't just be bromide, but other toxins/metals also that are probably being shifted around as well. I found selenium and iodine pretty powerful in that respect. But also basic antioxidants also.
You won't tend to go on a slow rising scale of improvement, I know of nobody that has. Usually detox is up and down. Ongoing healing crisis, then improvements, then healing crisis and improvement and so on.
Make sure you have enough antioxidants during all this mineral replacement too, as you'll need them. Vitamin C (powder with bioflavanoids), vitamin E and selenium are good to help along with your minerals and other vitamins (of your choosing). Best to keep vitamin C and selenium intake about 2 hours apart. Apparently vitamin C can cancel out some of the selenium's impact (not sure how true that is, but why chance it?). I also add natural salt (celtic sea salt is the best apparently) to my vitamin drinks too. About quarter teaspoon 3 times a day. You can take it in vitamin C and have it in warm or cold water.
Yep, zinc and magnesium are important as well, I take both. And if you can handle exercise and hot baths to help sweat some of the toxins out, but also get the circulation going and things moving more, that may help too.
Strenuous exercise can be a killer for those burdened with toxins, but doing enough of it to the point where it gets things going has its benefits too. It's doing just enough, but not too much. That plus the hot baths with addition of epsom salts (or baking soda and sea salt) can really help too - but don't overdo the heat if you cannot tolerate it. That will just stress out your system. Just do enough to where you can handle it.
Having a treadmill in my own home was one of the best buys I ever made for my aid in increasing metal elimination from my system. Flat walking was great, but I graduated then (before this virus got me) to incline walking and the increase in health and toxic elimination was quite outstanding! That plus all the other stuff like diet and supplements.

Yep I read about the depression part of Bromide detox today and read about the Salt, I got some good Sea Salt today from my local health food store. I did not find Celtic Sea Salt but this good Sea Salt should help some. Magnesium is also a MUST when detoxing I read, it allows the body to detox or relieves some of the load from what I read (Helps you eliminate more as well). I use Acerola Powder for my C, not big in MG's as the other powder but natural forms are always better IMO. I use Vitamin E as well like you said, good stuff. The Zinc as you mention is also A MUST, either 25 or 30 MG a day of Citrate I take and have for weeks now, maybe that detoxes some as well? Magnesium will be added tonight (Glycinate) with my last meal, so I am going to start on that and flax seeds as well (Not the oil). I will stick with this for a while now, I get no real bad side effects other than the stupid depression and anxiety at times, that and the feelings of guilt or sad feelings, some reason detox and hopelessness go hand in hand! I wonder if some go overboard and off themselves because of it, hope not too many because the depression sucks. I feel this will work overtime now though and I will be a better one in the end, more healthy and cleaner as far as metals go in the body and maybe the YEAST will take a HUGE dive by then as well as a reasult. I can hope this all works out, I have to lose some battles though if I am trying to win the war, and this is a war. BTW I can't really sweat! As crazy as it seems I don't sweat, last time I did I was taking some Oxygen in the summertime and started to sweat easily for once, have no clue why? But it was great, I plan on adding that again later someday after all of this (DR Wong's stabilized Oxygen). What kind of Virus do you have btw.? Sounds like it really sucks and doesn't go away? Can't something like Oyxgen get rid of it or help over time? I read Oxygen can whipe out alot of viruses, pathogens and yeast etc., basically flood your body with Oxygen. There has to be something whipe out that virus?

Hi Sean, No sweating or oversweating can be mercury. If you can't sweat properly, then don't do the baths too hot. It will be deterimental. I tried it and did nothing more than exhaust my already weakened/challenged system. The only thing I can recommend is perhaps the epsom salts in a hot bath (But not over hot) - to your own tolerance. Epsom salts encourages sweating and adds magnesium. Definitely don't sit there pushing yourself with overheating. It doesn't really work when you can't sweat properly. Next time you get salt, I'd encourage getting celtic sea salt (even if you order it online). It has 80 something plus minerals! It's excellent. I've heard of acerola vitamin C, but not sure what it's like. Whatever works! I found ordinary vitamin C tablets of little use to me, until I switched to a proper quality powder with the bioflavanoids. Apparently Rutin, Hesperiden etc, are very helpful. Makes vitamin C more effective when it contains them. It sounds like you're taking some very good stuff. Covering as many angles as you can that mercury interfers with and depletes. It won't matter how perfectly you do things though, because the misery of detoxing this stuff is unavoidable. Seriously, it's not an easy ride at all. No matter how well you do it. Just go at a pace that you can at least tolerate to "some" extent. Yes, some people do top themselves with the suffering this causes. I heard of two guys apparently who took large doses of NAC and committed suicide because it mobilised too much mercury. They were not warned of this and when you mobilise mercury too much, you can get severe symptoms. Sometimes it makes you feel like there is no hope, no way out and the depression can be crushing. Suicidal thoughts can take over and I had to resist that many times. I used to curl up on my bed and stay in a state of utter darkness or I'd do something out of the blue like go and drive my car at odd hours in the night. The symptoms were just horrifying, not something you can readily convey to someone unless they have it or have had it. Even then you can forget how bad it actually is until it hits you again. Depends again on how poisoned you are and where the mercury is. No the virus is not something normal like I've had before e.g. Glandular fever etc. This is something that has been far worse and has caused a condition that has, so far, remained permanent. It has not been discovered yet for what it is. I think also there is more to it than that. I suspect cavitations are part of my lack of response and lack of recovery from this bacterial/viral infection. Something worse happened after dental work in 2004 (following the virus) after wisdom tooth removal etc. Everything went horribly wrong after that and that is when I stopped detoxing and healing from mercury. I was already healing before that and doing VERY VERY well and I believe almost cured of mercury. But it all came to a standstill after that. My system stopped responding to my efforts. The only thing I could do was just keep my diet heavily restricted and eat good food to try and control "some" of the worst of it, but that's as far as it goes. I maybe getting some ACE (for adrenals) soon. And later, if money is ok and I find someone who might do it, I will get an oral surgeon or dentist to open every ex wisdom tooth site and clean it out. There is much more to what I have than just "one" disorder, which is why I am not making a recovery. One thing is just offsetting the other and keeping one-another going. Multiple issues. This was never once the case as such. And that's why I was healing well from mercury and for the first time in a long time, felt human again. Didn't last long though! I hope that you will not suffer any such similar fate. Just don't have any extensive dental work like removal of teeth, unless you have to and then make sure the removal is done properly (non vaso constrictor anaesthetic and completely removal of periodontal ligament, as well as the tooth. A total clean out of the tooth socket). That way you lessen the chance of cavitation development. And my bacterial infection? Cause after using an infected eye cosmetic (from me watering it down). A bacteria got in, severe enough to infect both eyes and from there, spread into the rest of my system. Never had anything to equal it! I warn females now not to play around with their mascara or water it down if it gets dry. I was stupid! I knew this was risky, but I did it anyway. And localised infection for an already compromised immune system is a systemic infection waiting to happen. So if you know any women who use mascara? Warn them against such stupidity (if they're prone to it)

I will not do anymore dental work, I had a root canal before but when I got my mercury tooth removed with x rays from a very good holistic dentist he said you will do better year after year and did muscle testing on me and even told me to remove an earring because that messed me up he said! He said where is the hole on your body and when he found he nearly jumped up in excitement because he said that earring did you lots of damage! He was just that good! He said you drink too right? I said yes, he said he could tell from muscle testing! This guy was unreal. He said you have no other mercuryin you and I thought just getting the tooth out was enough, of course he wanted other visits but that money is for athletes and such and what I did not have to continue to go back, I am not rich and insurance won't cover that crap or anything meaningful in our lives. I did not know the dagaon Iodine from GOOD KELP would chelate all of this, but it has and I felt weird ever since, not over the edge to where I can't think or work but it has done alot for me since I started just a few weeks ago. One night of blyss was enough for me to keep it up, last friday I had that as I said. Kelp is a strong detoxifier if you can eat it right. I cut it out for a day or two now as the effects became too strong, not too much but I felt the kidneys hurting and the mind confusion so I did not take ANY TODAY at all and will take a little tomorrow then slowly build up to where I can't feel it too much. Zeloite did well for me last year, but I quit that because it is not studied enough IMO and nobody knows how it works or how safe it is, but it was not scary at ALL. Cilantro was not scary at all either, although some kidney pain from the detox it did not scare me at all, nor did Chlorella (I Switched to Spirulina though last year). I a going to keep it up but seriously tonight I feel ill and really weird, but not near over the edge! I feel like I can pick it up slowly again tomorrow and move up slowly after that, the DULSE did not do this nor detox near as much, I have done both on and off the last few weeks, the Kelp in high doses does the detox and the Dulse just makes me feel better, which is really better for you or detoxes the most? I feel the Kelp is alot stronger in some doses, but the Dulse is alot easier and less drastic IMO, but does it do near as much chelating or have the Algin in it? I have no clue there. I took way too much Kelp yesterday and paid for it today, I will not do that again soon! I will take a littel tomorrow or take the day off again and use the Dulse in a little amount. I know both are very good for you, the Kelp contains more minerals and more iodine but the Dulse is more easily taken and easier on me overall. Which to take? Or rotate at will or by tolerance?
BTW I am a flat out NIGHT HAWK even moreso lately, that is a FACT! I stay up even later now, thank GOD I have very tolerant job and work at 3 or 4 in the afternoon! Lately since detoxing I stay up alot later like you did and sleep later and feel lazy as hell! Something going on there?

Root canals are one of the biggest and worst sources of ongoing toxicity into the body system. Even ones that are done well are not guaranteed to be safe for even a healthy person, let alone a compromised one. I know a biologic dentist here who would not do any root canals at all. It is only in recent times where I've seen that he's obviously found a way of doing them that is more "holistic". The old style is pretty dreadful. Dr Weston Price's own son I think died due to getting one. He's absolutely against them! As you can imagine. Check these links out: Root canal filling materials can be toxic Root canals - more than meets the eye The toxins from root canals can be as bad, if not worse than mercury. Similar to the toxins from cavitations. In fact, Hal Huggins says that patients toxic from these conditions are worse than mercury patients. If a person has either/both of these, that would be wise to have them dealt with. Sosick on here had root canals and she was very very ill. She got much better when she had them removed. I am unsure from your post whether you still have a root canal or whether you had it removed.....if you have one, consider the dangers and possibility of ongoing toxicity from that. I did not know the dagaon Iodine from GOOD KELP would chelate all of this, but it has and I felt weird ever since, not over the edge to where I can't think or work but it has done alot for me since I started just a few weeks ago. Perhaps it just contains more minerals as you said....I think it does have algin in it. But I'm not certain about any of this, so Russ might be the one to ask there. Perhaps just continue as you are with both. Or google both and see what they contain and which one appears to come out on top. I experimented also with my mercury detoxes with different things, but I got awful reactions which scared me. It seems you don't get quite those reactions, which is a good thing. Mine were psycho! I still did many things anyway because I just wanted the metals out of me at all cost. But sometimes that cost was too risky and hurt me a lot. If you can handle these detoxes, then perhaps your body isn't too bad in eliminating what's been mobilised around and you may not be as hypsensitive to the mercury as some are. I would go into a fit of near insanity when trying to detox that stuff. Thankfully Cutler's protocol didn't do that to me and I was able to chelate and retain some sanity in the process and not go through sheer hell. I still got unwell from detoxing though, which in a way was good because it showed things were working. BTW I am a flat out NIGHT HAWK even moreso lately, that is a FACT! Something going on there? Sleeping habits can be distorted big time with mercury. It can make you a night owl and make you feel drugged in the morning, barely able to get up. Or hyped and waking too early. It can cause insomnia or oversleeping (or both alternating). It can cause alot of strange over-vivid dreaming/nightmares. Lots of things it can do and has done to me. I tend to find that my diet helps me sleep, but often when I exercise or do strenous activity, it stirs metals up and then I'm not so able to sleep, YET I am fatigued during the day but hyped up at the sametime. It's unpleasant to say the least. I also suspect more toxins are at work with me in my mouth somewhere, as a doctor kept detecting, but nothing really shows up there! But I do believe there is an ongoing source of bad bacteria/toxins from the oral area. PS, one stage when I was detoxing alot of metal, I had insomnia for over a year and a half during that time.

I felt weird last night and could have had a huge anxiety attack or bugged out, but I caught it and was able to get to sleep later on. The Kelp really did a job, I had to stop for a day or two and start out slower, the crazies were not too far away if I kept up that dosage everyday. Bex I was literally ready to go there again, crazy for a day or so. I don't know where the root canal is or if I got it out when I got that big tooth out which the Mercury was in, is is still there who knows? How can I find out? How much will it cost? I don't have that kind of money right now. I will look up the Kelp and Dulse, the Kelp seems to be alot stronger though as far as the detox goes, does Dulse even chelate? I know it has Iodine and other things in it, but not as much, maybe not a theraputic dose and more of just a daily value type dose (170%). I get a metallic taste in my mouth when I detox and that always had me thinking it was a hidden tooth, but I figured out later Detox can do that as well and other factors not just a mercury tooth in there. As far as sleeping habits, I used to go to bed around 3 and get up around 11 or 12 or so, now sometimes it's 5 to around 2:30, I feel groggy and very slow getting up, especially when in Detox I am knocked OUT. The Kelp and Dulse I use from www.seaveg.com seems to be very good though, tested for metals and pollutants and so on, it seems very clean and safe so I am not worried about that part. The Spirulina I use is earthrise and thats a good company as well, so I am not really worried about more toxins there. I know if you buy cheap brands they can contain metals and make you worse! Some Kelp loaded with Arsenic (A certain kind Hijaki or some spelling lol), so that would make you alot worse as well if you get the wrong kinds.

In Sanskrit, tulsi means literally "the incomparable one" and has been revered since ancient times. Tulsi, the holy basil, is said to have grown at the site of Christ’s crucifixion and is associated with St. Basil’s feast.

I believe the iodine may have triggered the autoimmune response in my body. But since I started taking the DMSA my hair is slowly growing back. Maybe I'll take another picture today and upload it. I like to keep a journal of my hair growth, so I can look back at this phase of my life.
The Salt loading really really helped. So I recommend doing them as described on that website. Just be careful with how much iodine you take! You don't want to get overwhelmed with detoxing symptoms.
