I would like to start removing copper immediately. I can't afford to buy his books as I can barely afford the supplements. I am unable to work in my condition. I would like to know his protocol. I have some zinc coming this week and I know there is molybdenum and taurine.
Anyone know how long it take to detox copper or get the right balance of copper?
I am so scared it's going to bring on panic. Does it?

Let me look into this tomorrow and I will write something up. It probably won't be until later in the day though.

Hi Wormwood,I'm sorry your condition is so bad. I don't have the book with me at the moment but i have/had high copper too and took some notes from the book which I keep with me. Yes zinc and molybdenum are supposed to be good for lowering copper, and also niacin. Garlic, organ meats, nuts and avocado are supposedly high in copper and calcium can hold copper in. I would also avoid chlorophyll if you are taking it as that may be what caused my copper levels to become elevated. Hope that helps! Hopefully someone that has the book can help you further. I think from memory it should only take about 3 months to lower copper if you are taking the supplements and avoiding high copper foods.

I know you don't have the book, but I figure I will give page numbers for anyone else reading this post. On page 99, he says that "Vitamin C in large amounts, zinc and molybdenum hinder copper absorption from the intestines." He says to take 10-20mg zinc, 250-1000mcg molybdenum, 250-500mg calcium and 2 grams of Vitamin C every time you eat. "Taking zinc and manganese in a ratio of 20:1 will increase the urinary excretion of copper." On another page he says that taking ALA may actually INCREASE the copper in your body. ALA disrupt bile copper excretion, so he says to keep your copper low when detoxing for mercury. Wilson's Disease causes people to lose the ability to excrete copper in the feces, so you can become copper toxic on a normal dietary intake. If you are indeed copper toxic, you may want to look into this. On page 66 he says that it may be helpful to have a stool analysis for toxic and essential elements. In normal individuals 96% of copper will be excreted in the feces. Therefore, if there is no copper is being excreted in the feces then ALA may help to increase urinary copper excretion. However, this should only be used for people who aren't excreting copper in the feces because ALA would normally decrease copper excretion in feces. Basically ALA may be helpful but you need to know whether or not you are excreting copper in the feces. If you are then ALA would not be helpful. "The traditional treatment for copper poisoning is penicillamine, which many people do not tolerate well." He says that DMPS will increase urinary copper excretion significantly. DMSA won't do anything. Copper toxic individuals will have imbalanced fatty acids, so he suggests taking flax oil. He then gives a name to a clinic that has extensive experience in treating copper toxic individuals. Pfeiffer Center 1804 Diehl Road Naperville, IL 630-505-0333 Lucky for you, page 66 is included in the google preview, so you can read it all for yourself here. Page 66-Google Preview I suggest typing copper into the search box on the right side and see which pages you can view. You can read a lot of his book for free on google. If you see a page with info about copper you are unable to preview, I can let you know what it says.

Copper toxicity? I have just been thinking about it, and realized that I am probably copper deficient. Copper deficiency is linked to anemia, fatigue, candida overgrowth, reduced immunity, etc. Those of us who have been taking plenty of zinc and vitamin c probably have an even greater need for copper.

Yes you are correct, a balance is key JK98, thats why taking individual supplements for things is to tricky because they can cause an imbalance.
In Sanskrit, tulsi means literally "the incomparable one" and has been revered since ancient times. Tulsi, the holy basil, is said to have grown at the site of Christ’s crucifixion and is associated with St. Basil’s feast.

If you can eat "top quality foods" (high brix readings--need a refractometer for this) and take the alkalizing drink I posted on and do the mineralizing/detox (bath, shower, foot) it takes a lot of the guess work out the equation as to what your body needs. Your body also is able to receive more natural forms easier and it aids your digestion and liver huge...

Definitely! It does definitely mobilise mercury and probably other toxins also. It can also cause yeast die off to occur, which also causes symptoms. I've had them both and garlic has been absolutely potent and at times dangerous to me.
One ought to also be very careful with any sulfur amino acid containing food/supplement when they are very mercury toxic. E.g. cysteine, methionine, glutathione etc. It really does depend on how a person responds to these things. I'd always be cautious. Too much of a good thing can cause an eruption of intolerable symptoms in mercury, particularly when using any agent that can chelate/mobilise.

I have been doing the copper protocol for about a week now and I feel pretty terrible. I feel awful most of the time but I think I am feeling worse now. I have had severe depression most of the week and bad headaches. Also, major sleep problems. One night I didn't get to sleep at all intil 4:30am.
I am hoping this is all detoxing symptoms and not me getting worse with anxiety. I feel more housebound than ever. I am supposed to be going to a friends party next weekend, a three hour dive away, but I may have to let him down. He won't know the real reason and will think I am unreliable but the way I feel now is too anxious, panicky to see people and go on a long drive.
My partner is telling me I need to go and see someone as he thinks there is something wrong with me. Who would I see? What's a GP going to do? Nothing. Like they always have or tell me to take SSRI's.
Oh I need to see some sign I am on the right track and will be better one day.
Also, how do I get rid of that smiley face next to my name as I don't feel smiley.

I am sorry to hear that Wormwood. Ugh I don't even know what to tell you.
I certainly don't recommend taking SSRI's. Sometimes long term they can make things a lot worse.
Maybe just talking to someone is what you need. Find a therapist that doesn't prescribe pills and see what they can do for you. A few years ago I was an emotional wreck. I had a terrible trauma in my life when I was 17, which was eating me alive. Finally, I was able to talk about it and it helped me tremendously.
I guess I'm trying to say, perhaps there is more to your emotional problems than toxins. A bad childhood, stressful job or even relationship problems can really take a toll on someone. Just make sure that you aren't having emotional problems due to some sort of issue in the past or current times.
Good luck!!
