Hello,

I hope to have my mercury dental fillings replaced, although, it probably will be a few at a time.

A health food store has given me a name of a local dentist who says the dentist is able to remove mercury fillings correctly.....I need a few questions that I can ask the dentist or nurse to see if he really knows the proper protocol to follow.

She also said he uses porcelain(sp?) on-lays and in-lays.....since I'll mainly need crowns, is this acceptable?
If so, what should the metal under the porcelain be made of....gold? or does that matter?

Thanks for any help anyone can give me.

I had my amalgams removed and replaced with porcelain, which I now know has aluminum. I hear that's not as bad, and I don't test toxic for aluminum so far.
I would like to know the best replacement. One reason I test so high for mercury may be because I had the amalgams removed without benefit of decontamination efforts. There is a right way to get it out. Wish I'd known.

I have heard what the proper protocol is(Huggins Protocol).....I just need a few of the most important questions to ask.

I have also heard that Diamond Crown is the best replacement for mercury.....although, not all dentists use it. But I don't know if it is actually used for crowns or just dental fillings.

My business partner (Laura) used DiamondLite (July 2000) on the advice of my very knowledgeable Dentist in Florida (who is excellent) and she is having a remarkable recovery.

I moved within the past 2 years (from Florida to western New York state) and the closest dentist I found has now done work for my sister, step-mother, and father and is excellent also. He uses DiamondCrown for both crowns and fillings. He likes it better for fillings because he says it's a little more durable.

Laura has had no problems with her fillings so far (DiamondLite). My sister and step-mother also have no complaints (DiamondCrown). My father passed away a couple years ago but the amalgam replacement was successful (DiamondCrown).

Hope this helps.

Hi,

I'm glad to hear that Diamond Crown/Lite can be used for crowns.

I wish I could find a dentist that actually uses Diamond Crown or Diamond LIte......I can only find one that replaces mercury with Porceline(sp?) At least porceline is better then mercury. Right?

I wish there were more good dentist out there....my regular dentist told my mother he was metal-free, but when I asked what material they used the assistant told me Amalgam...

I hope I can ask another dentist, some good questions....I need to figure out if he really knows how to remove mercury properly.

Do you know a few questions I can ask?

Thank you for any help you can give me.
Elaine

I had to have a crown and my dentist used "high noble" it is suppose to be free of bad metals.

Ask if he uses the rubber dam and what other precautions he takes.

Hi Missy,

Thank you so much for the info....I will definately ask those two questions.

I have never heard of High Noble. Is that the actual crown material or is that the metal that they put the porceline onto?

Thank you,
Elaine

This is such an important subject that I would have to say to be very careful with porcelain and ceramics. The aluminum they contain is harmful and that's very unfortunate.

For years, there has been the belief that aluminum causes?or is a major contributing factor for?Alzheimer's disease. We were then told that the experiment was flawed because the instruments being used were aluminum and that they contaminated the material (tissues) being tested. There is, however, other research that says mercury is bad, aluminum is bad, together they are bad-times-100. Needless to say, sifting through research studies is no picnic.

The bottom line is this.

It's one thing to have a single big does of a toxic substance, but it's another altogether to be continually exposed to it every day. The latter is much worse. For this reason, this subject of choosing the right filling material is important business.

For me, it all boils down to this; If you know it's toxic, avoid it, especially if its toxicity (aluminum?) is multiplied by something you already have in your body (mercury).

Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with High Noble. My Dentist uses Diamond Lite in about 80% of his patients.

Take your time and be careful making this important decision.

If you are still having trouble finding a dentist there is a toll free number in Hal Huggins book for the diagnostic center. They can recommend a dentist in your area.

Thanks Russ and Stella,

I have some lists of dentists....non are close to me. I went to a dentist (about 3 hours away) but I wasn't sure of his honesty.....(his price kept going up).

I don't have the money to travel or to have all of my mercury removed at one time......I wish I did. To make matters worse, I already have several crowns, that I am sure still have mercury under them. I had plannned on having a couple of teeth done at a time and then as I can afford to continue.

Thank ya'll for all of your help.

Hi, everyone.

While as a Doctor of Naturopathy I recommend to clients to discuss mercury fillings with their dentist as a matter of course, I have noted several references here regarding aluminum and Alzheimer's. "The Jury is still out" on that one, but I suggest strongly to my clients that they read Russell Blaylock, MD, a neurosurgeon, particularly his work "Excitotoxins" for a valuable insight into what a neurosurgeon considers to be a highly suggestive substance in Alzheimer's, etc.
Good luck and joy to all-

Thanks for the info.

I also have a video from Dr. Boyd Haley showing specific signatures of Alzheimer's resulting from mercury and aluminum together. The information is deep and very compelling and I believe would be of great interest to doctors and all types of health professionals.

Unfortunately, I have been prohibited from offering the video for sale.
