My dad, who is now passed away, had Parkinson's since in his 30's. He lived well into his 70's. At one point it was so bad that he could not function and he looked like someone wasting away in a concentration camp. Even though he had a big appetite. Because the prescribed meds were not helping, and the doctors more or less gave up. I started reading a book called: The guide to nutritional healing. The book was very informative and some of the stuff it said to do did help. But his body was wasting away still.
While just thumbing through this I ran across an interesting disease I had never heard before called malisorbption syndrome (spelling). I read the symptoms list and everyone of them matched my father 100%. So I guessed that this was his problem more than Parkinsons was so we started to treat him for this instead.
Within three months he was gaining weight, and his Parkinsons was getting better. Doctors did not think he wuld live for another year before we started the treatment the book said. But he did live for another 10 years.
Malisorbption syndrome is where your colon becomes so caked up with stuff that it can no longer take in the nutrients of what you eat. My father took mallox for years for chronic heartburn. We believed that this is what coated his colon so that he could no longer take in nutrients. So his brain and muscles suffered and he developed Parkinson's symptoms from this. Other wise when we treated him for the other disease, it would have had no effect on his Parkinson's like it did.
So what this makes me wonder is that if malisorbtion syndrome has a actual connection to Parkinsons. and maybe if this info helps someone else out that we may just send medical science down another path to a cure.
There is also a product we found that was very helpful in the treatment malisorbtion syndrome and really help out the parkinson's symptoms. But because it is different from what this forum sells, I doubt I could mention it.
