It's known that we generally pass on the most mercury to our first born children as mom's with mercury poisoning. I also had a bit of distress when I had my first - nothing major, but at one point the Dr. put leeds on her little head inside me (ouch..I tell you what, OUCH!) to measure her oxygen. Had her with an epidural and from then on went fine. I, as a good mama, did what the Docs told me to and got her in on time for those important (*&Y(*^)*^ vaccinations, too! Anyway - she got tendinitis in her little ankles in 2nd grade. The Dr. said they were too tight and she had to wear these braces at night. Then another orthopedic said, no, it wasn't her ankles, it was her hamstrings. While I had her in with Physical therapists stretching her abnormally tight legs in general - started picking up on her general stiffness (husband would pick her up and her little legs would draw up into a sitting position) - poor coordination - always tripping, etc. the PT mentioned CP (Cerebral Palsy). I asked the Ortho about it and he said, does she function at school? (Yes). Learning disabilities? (No). Then why worry about it? I didn't like his answer, but could see his point in that I didn't want her branded as such. Anyway - her and I are still, however, convinced she has it although just a very mild case of spastic CP. But the past few years (that we're aware of at least) she also started having mild seizure activity. Again, though...had her in, finally, at 17 to be tested. They kept her overnight and she never had on of her "spells" so they dismissed it - even tried to find out why she was so stressed at home??? (I didn't like that Dr...) I just talked to her and she is still doing it out at school. Her husband is medically oriented and sees it in her. (Her not testing while being under a microscope didn't prove anything cause I've talked to others who also didn't originally show up with seizures but kept pursuing it and did end up proving they were having them - plus I lived with her and both of us know it). Anyhoo...anyone else have experience or knowledge about whether such things could be mercury related??

I don't know, I have been getting mild relapses of the mercury posioning I suffered 18 months ago and interestingly enough, my long muscles in my arms (biceps) and legs ( calf muscles) hurt like heck sometimes.

far as I am concerned, it's related to the mercury and the amalgams still in my mouth. I am 100% sure of that but I wouldn't even bother mentioning it to most doctors or dentists because it isn't a note or a symptom of anything on their yellow legal pad. Mercury per say is not treatable with any of their meds so they cannot offer a solution so therefore they don't diagnosis it.

a good doctor won't mind your self-diagnosis, I've noticed that. It's the insecure ones that are kind of lost that bawk when you mention you think something like mercury might be causing those problems.

I would try chelation with her Jeanie, with a good integrative med doc if possible. Chelation cannot hurt her worse, as long as she doesn't have any amalgam fillings which will keep her chelating forever (like me).. and in this world we all acquire a load of something we should get rid of anyway, lead being in the forefront there.

My dad has had major joint problems for decades... I acquired some hefty joint issues within a few weeks after a dumb dentist did bad work, so to me, it's all related. Chelation will cure it, yes, cure it, if it is heavy metal related as it was in my case. It did for me anyway. He has a few amalgams and he knows what I went through and he knows I was in really good health prior so he knows for sure I am not making it up but still, since he acquired it slowly over time he doesn't want to make the connection to his own problems. I would hate to see him go through all of the with a dentist anyway tell you the truth, he is 80 years old. He does eat a lot garlic (I learned it from him as a kid!) which may be what has kept him at least in otherwise good helath all these years.

My 14 yr old daughter has some mercury issues from me too, I am pretty sure. Bad bad temper from time to time. Only time will help her, she does not have any fillings, silver, white, or otherwise. I have given her DMSA (oral) from them to time, it does help her, she gets very very tired if I give it to her for 2-3 days in a row though. DMSA does that to me too, which is why I like the cilantro, it does not do that to me and keeps the mercury symptoms at bay. My kid hates cilantro though so I can't help her much with that past sneaking it into recipes here and there. make sure you eat garlic when eating cilantro, it does something to the heavy metals, makes it easier for your body to get rid of them, you don't want them to be recirculating. It has helped me a lot, and saved me thousands in chelation fees. I think the kid simply may not drink enough water.

I have to admit though really, the IV chelation was absolutely excellent in the long run, very difficult to start, hurts like heck to start...

I have been mercury free for over a year now and have done all kinds of detox alot of it has betonite clay and other stuff that pulls heavy metals out. I still have my heels hurting me and my legs some days kill me. Feels like my muscles are being pulled on and burn and ache. My hands will still get numb especially in the cold grocery store, btw I still wear a jacket in there too. Feels like it is 50 below in there while it's 95 outside. People just look at me weird. I still get brain fog on some days too. Everything is not as bad as it was but is still all there. Oh my left shoulder has been out of place for about 4 months now. Went to the chiropractor but was not helping so I took it as a sign to do more detox.

My daughter has been complaining of her back and is also having problems with getting the whole monthly thing regulated. My oldest son has trouble in the mornings getting up and around, learning disibilities when he was in school. My youngest has leaning disibilities and dyslexia. he sleeps alot too and sleeps with his eyes open sometimes, really weird. He also has allergies real bad too.

I think our kids get a lot of the mercury from us and then all the vaccines. My youngest is the hardest hit, he was fine until he got his first 2 mercury fillings and then they made me give him the chicken pox shot and crap hit the fan with him. So yeah I think alot of what is wrong with alot of people is the mercury.

I wish I had chelated her when she was younger. She is married now and, apparently, getting worse. She was on the pill and it was not agreeing with her. She is geting off it. I fear pregnancy when it happens may not be easy for her. She goes into these shaking fits and what SHE is sure are seizures. She's out in CA right now, too. I'll just have to help her learn to do it herself if anything at this point.

I have 6 bad discs, but wonder if they wouldn't be as symptomatic without mercury. I am sure the FMS I have would be better without it..

I forgot to mention my daughter lost her first child when she was only 5 months along and had a really crappy doctor too so there was no saving the first child. The second child they went in at 4 months and sewed the cervix on each side so the baby would not fall out. That is what happened the first time. She is also on birth control, they are trying to regulate her periods and she has alot of bleeding then too. It makes her miserable and she feels really crappy and puney during that time.

I have fibro too and is getting a little better. I have to be careful not to over do anything or I am down for a day or two. It is very hard for every one to understand why I can't do the same things they do but slowly they are learning. When they push and then see me on my butt the next day, well lets just say they are getting it. And yes I hurt too from top to bottom but all the cleansing is really helping and soon maybe it will get easier and easier. Hang in there I know how hard it is and can be just to drag yourself around all day and especially out of bed in the mornings. I have great hope though.
Take care, Rachel

Hi Rachel,

I felt so useless the past few days when I couldn't help my husband when he tore the house apart organizing and cleaning out the garage. He didn't really expect help, but I tried to help him get things in when it started raining and couldn't. He is understanding overall. His sister doesn't get me at all. We don't live close, thank goodness. Mostly its frustrating to me to be so limited. I try and ignore it and push past it, but when it's bad, I can't. I do better if I get some exercise, but its a very delicate balancing act. If I take it too fast it can throw me off for weeks. It can be depressing. Which then feeds into the whole cycle. It really is hard to understand if you haven't experienced it. I usually don't even think about it, but we've had a lot of stress lately and it has about laid me flat at times.

I actually was reading this post and thinking that H2O2 baths would help you a lot, the fatigue, and epsom salts or magnesium sea salts would help the muscles aches.

and of course it makes you so clean and pretty you'll never regret it.

Food grade 35% H2O2, search online for a place that ships not too far from where you are... probably in Atlanta you can drive and pick some up. about 50 bucks a gallon.

It's a really good item to keep on the shelf. I mix some in with liquid hand soap and scrub after gardening or if one of us gets a cut we use that too.

It's very strong at 35%, you have to dilute it.

Black walnut hull oxygenates your blood too. I like that a lot too, quite the pick-me-upper. Kills all sort of strange items like fungus, parasites et al that might be adding to your discomfort also.

I like to make fruit smoothies with whey protein powder too. That always gives me energy also. make sure it's pure whey without additives or anything weird in there.

The natural pectin in the fruit and the whey protien both help your body detox very gently too. I like to put yogurt in there too. Some spirulina if I'm in the mood...

Ther's a swimming pool supllier in atlanta that carries it by the gallon, found this for ya..

USA SUPPLIERS
5/2/2007: Sara from Atlanta, GA writes: "I have read that the hydrogen peroxide used in swimming pools is actually food grade, and that you can order it from swimming pool suppliers, therefore. I use Oxy-Klenz concentrate, food grade 35% H2O2, distributed by M&A distributors in Atlanta, GA 404.634.8881. Freezer storage is recommended, but it must be at least refrigerated. I used to know someone whose breast cancer was cured who regularly bathed in a solution of this."

As long as it's food grade, it's good in the bath. some people use it in their swimming pools instead of chlorine. smart healthy people...

You don't have to freeze it or refigerate either unless you want to store it forever, just keep in a cool dark place. Mine stays under the sink in the downstairs bathroon for instance, about 16 months old that bottle, still an inch in there I use now and then for little stuff, it's fine, still good...
