It looks to me that there is a great variety of opinions on the natural half life of mercury in the brain: Some people like cutler say it's 20 years, some more mainstream research says it might be as low as 90 days (with studies on monkeys....). And also there is a very interesting theory that believes that this is genetical, ie. some people have different genes leading to some different protein in the brain (apo-E) that vary a lot how much mercury you can excrete naturally from the brain.

You have 2 genes for these proteins: each gene says if the proteins can carry out 0,1,2 atoms of mercury: hence:

with probability 1/9 you cant carry out mercury out of the brain
with probability 2/9 you can carry out 1 atom (every 2 proteins)
with probability 3/9 you can carry out 2 atom (every 2 proteins)
with probability 2/9 you can carry out 3 atom (every 2 proteins)
with probability 1/9 you cant carry out mercury out of the brain.

Maybe the probability of the genes are not equal so these probabilities are wrong, but you get the idea.

Yeah it's very new discovery (2003): they observed that people with both genes apo-E-4 (those that make proteins that dont carry out mercury at all) are much more likely to get alzheimer, then they understood that is probably due to less ability to detox mercury.

These proteins (whose primary role is to take away cholesterol from the brain) come in 3 different varieties depending on your genes: with one cisteine molecule (that has a sulfur group that binds mercury), with two cisteine molecules or with none.

That would explain why some people are damaged by mercury more than others.

That Alzheimer's is caused by mercury. The world needs to know about this information. There are many blood-chemistry signatures that match between mercury and Alzheimer's.

Oh yea, Huggins says that the red coloring in dentures is made with mercury. I'd like to try to verify this (with all my free time <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> ).

I looked at the Bio-Probe website and it is very interesting. I plan to really look the website over once I have enough time. I would love to get hooked up someone who is really in the know with metal toxicity.
It is kind of scary to think that some people are less able to detox. It did look like even those people can, but it must be more aggressive??? I am hoping I am one of those who can detox well!
This whole mercury issue is SO interesting, but SO disturbing!
I have a 10 year old boy who has a mild case of autism. I have always believed it to be from his vaccines and mercury. I am beginning to find good information that gives alot of hope to helping detox children and seeing great results! I am so thankful that I hadn't taken him to my family dentist or he would have mercury fillings right now. How much worse can it be when you add the mercury to someone who has already been affected by mercury. It's maddening!

Yep APO is important and GSTM gene (ability to synthesize glutathione) as well, and several others. I am APO 3/4 (not so good) and GSTM minus/minus (not good).

That is still long enough to cause some damage just one "full day" of mercury in the brain couldn't be good for ANYBODY whether they detox faster or not.
And what about children who have many vaccines many times over that have mercury traveling that route WOW!
Just do the math.
Nobody should find any mercury in a vaccine to be an aceptable risk or any other of the additives as well.
Besides possible contamination and viruses.
People still willingly stick out there arms not just ones that are forced too.
But there are still many people that I find still don't know what is in a vaccine and are really surprised when the see what it is.
Ignorance is NOT bliss ask parents of Autistic children and other syndromes and illnesses that believe it was caused by all those toxins being injected into them!
