My skin is so dry. There is a layer of ashy type stuff all over my legs every day now. I'm going to up my water intake, but wonder if I need to support my adrenals? Will this support my thyroid?
I see some talk about licorice root. Does this work well?
Thank you so much Bann

Licorice root is great stuff. It is antifungal, helps detox the liver, and stimulates the adrenals. Licorice tea also tastes great! Black walnut green hull extract is a great antifungal and antiparasitic, and helps with thyroid problems. I use an alcohol free liquid extract in coconut glycerine. the black walnut also helps cure skin problems.

JK98, Thank you! I will order the Licorice root and Black Walnut green hull extract. Where do you buy it? Local or online?
I just read about Seaweed helping all sorts of things from hormones to thyroid to adrenals... Maybe I need to get some of that too??

You can get licorice root at any vitamin store. You can get it in tea bags if you want licorice tea(i use the Yogi Egyptian licorice tea which also has other herbs that are antifungal. It tastes great), or in capsules. Be careful if you tend to have high blood pressure though, as too much licorice can raise blood pressure. It is also a mild laxative, and increases the laxative effect of other herbs that are mildly laxative. many who have candida problems also tend to be constipated, so this might be helpful. You can get black walnut green hull extract at almost any vitamin store. I use the alcohol free version by Nature's Answer. There are other alcohol free ones as well. This also has a mild laxative effect. Seaweed is very healthy and contains many vitamins and minerals. I also like how it tastes. Very few stores sell the fresh seaweed, and the dried seaweed can be very expensive. Many places just sell the seaweed sheets used for making sushi rolls. http://www.herbwisdom.com/herb-licorice-root.html
