Hi everyone,
I've been having increasing problems / sensations with weak feeling muscles --mostly in arms but also in legs and feeling weak all over. My arms also feel a little "numb" --not really numb but just tingly numb. I'm also shaky inside -- like a steady vibration.
Anybody else had this stuff going on?

yeah, not too bad of late though, sounds like mercury to me. Either you have a leaky amalgam or if your amalgams have been removed you are recirculating a,lot of it in your bloodstream.
colon cleanse and get the leaky molar pulled.

Hi Chelan,<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/byebye.gif" alt="" />
I agree with SoSick. I was suffering from numbness and tingling badly every day to the point where it made me terrified I was going to have a heart attack at any minute. I had several ER trips and numerous EKGs. I even had an ultrasound (echocardiogram) of my heart! All results were that my heart was just fine. Although it was comforting to know that it wasn't my heart it confirmed to me that it was the mercury saturating my body that was causing the numbness/tingling and heart pain I was experiencing. I am 3 months past amalgam removal and although I do feel the numbness/tingling occasionally, it is not as frequent or as severe as it was while I still had my amalgams in or even a month after. I began dumping mercury right away and I felt horrible for a couple of months past amalgam removal, but I feel that I am improving a little more each day because I am taking things slowly. It seems to be working so far! But colon cleansing is definitely the way to go! It has helped me improve greatly. Good luck!

Chelating helped my muscle weakness a lot too. 18 months ago I could not lift an axe to chop wood.
and I really like to chop wood, always was my chore prior to the dental incident, is my chore again, great for my back.
When I was real sick my muscles felt like jello. And I was pretty buff at that point, I used to spend a couple mornings a week at the gym so there wasn't any real other explanation for the sudden muscle weakness except mercury. Nothing else in my life had changed except I had a lousy dentist. My shoulders hurt a lot too. I still get bouts of achy shoulders but my overall strength has improved enormously. Not sure I am quite back to where I was prior though.
But I would not recommend chelating without a colon cleanse routine to go along with it.
It was the point where my arms and hands were so numb that I convinced myself I needed a doctor. I was utterly uselss at that point and very sick in general.
glad I found a good one. I was chelated via IV with EDTA and DMPS. Cleaned my blood out real good and quick too. Kind of managing the rest on my own here. Doing ok with it. Still get bouts of it though, not too bad, the colon cleansing is the key for me I think. I eat a lot of cilantro and garlic too.

Consider candida as a possible (probable) part of your overall illness. Many people with mercury poisoning suffer from yeast overgrowth which can cause the problems you mention and many more (sometimes confused with or overlapping mercury symptoms).
Treating candida is essential for many people wtih mercury poisoning. Mercury maybe the reason for yeast overgrowth, but is often causing only some of the symptoms. Many people are multiple toxic because mercury depresses the immune system and allows for other toxins to cause problems as well as yeast overgrowth (which releases its own toxins). Treating yeast can enable the immune system to improve, thus helping your entire body, including fighting the mercury and detoxing better.
To treat yeast, you'd be advised to go on the candida diet. Exclude all sugar, yeast, and wheat/gluten out of your diet COMPLETELY. Partially does not seem to work. You may need to also reduce or eliminate high carbohydrates too (all grains, fruit, honey, potatoes/corn/carrots/peas/beans etc) and concentrate on low carb foods such as eggs (free range) meats, low carb vegetables, acidophilus yoghurt, raw seeds, nuts like brazil/almonds etc. You "may" be able to handle some non gluten grains and higher carb veges and limited fruit, but you may not. Depends on how severe the yeast is.
If you haven't done this before, the response from the diet change may create a die off effect from the yeast dying off and you can feel worse for a time. Toxins are also loosened and released, so you may experience a healing crisis from this and feel worse for a time. Some feel worse for a few weeks and then experience improvement (sometimes a dramatic improvement). It is worth doing believe me. Even if you do it to see if this is part of your problem.
Epsom salt baths are also helpful for weak/sore muscles too. A cup or two of epsom salts in a hot bath. Not only does this help provide magnesium (which you can also take orally), but will aid elimination of toxins via the pores of your skin as well.
I would take calcium and magnesium in equal ratios and zinc too. I would also consider taking other supplements that may help with the mercury like antioxidants - vitamin C, vitamin E, selenium and probably a good multi vitamin/mineral as well and essential fatty acid supplement like fish oil (mercury free).
Butter is very good too and Hal Huggins recommends butter for mercury toxic people. It is very healing! And he believes it helps chelate mercury. Not sure on that one, but it's worth including anyway. Extra virgin olive oil and organic virgin coconut oil are also good fats to have. Plant oils like canola oil etc should be avoided.
I hope this is helpful, I found it was to me!

Similar to what they say, you can take an Epsom bath every once in a while to help alleviate muscle pains. Soaking in bath salts is great. Epsom salt is anti-inflammatory and antiseptic, and is very relaxing.

While fighting candida is good, at least part of the problem might be parasites. If you haven't done a parasite cleanse lately, then I recommend that you do one. Also eat plenty of raw garlic, and take vitamin A(the palmitate, not beta carotene) 10,000-20,000 units a day. vitamin A is important in general immunity, and in fighting parasites. Many with parasites have been found to have a vitamin A deficiency. Perhaps enough people can't properly convert beta carotene to vitamin A? Smokers are advised not to take large doses of vitamin A though, as I saw an article about a study saying that large amounts of vitamin A increased the smokers incidence of lung cancer. Don't take more than 20,000 units of vitamin A a day long term, as this can lead to toxicity. Perhaps a dosage of 20,000 units a day for a while(for those who might be deficient), then a scaling back to 10,000 units a day might be a good idea.
This is all interconnected. mercury, a weakened immune system, parasites, poor absorbtion of some nutrients, candida overgrowth, etc.
It is also important to get enough calcium and magnesium.

What kind of calcium and magnesium do you take ^^^? I have been meaning to add some. I think adding Zinc is key too right? I agree it is all interconnected as I believe I have all three of those things you mention, actually 4 with the poor absorbtion of nutrients. A friend of mine online once said it's not about how much you take but what you absorb, he is big on Probiotics and stuff and believes that part is VERY Key to your health as well. Do you take any of those? JK you have some very good posts, I would like to know more of what you know lol.
In Sanskrit, tulsi means literally "the incomparable one" and has been revered since ancient times. Tulsi, the holy basil, is said to have grown at the site of Christ’s crucifixion and is associated with St. Basil’s feast.

malic acid and magnesium have been the most effective supplements to prevent muscle soreness for me.
Tartaric acid is a biproduct of yeast breaking down sugars, and too much tartaric acid in your body will make your muscles feel sore. The only way to counteract this is to do what you can to prevent yeast overgrowth and also to supplement with malic acid.
I used to have horrendous soreness and depression after strenuous exercise, but over time it has lessened and now I don't even get sore anymore. My job and lifestyle are physical (I live on a ranch) and I still get mercury symptoms after I do heavy work but soreness is not one of them anymore.

Thanks. I know that I have been suffering for a long time. I had many mercury amalgams, candida overgrowth, and intestinal parasites(I don't want to go into the gory details of the parasites). Most here have had parasites. It goes along with a weakened immune system from mercury and candida overgrowth. Vitamin A supplements(fully formed, not beta carotene) are important to fight parasites and strengthen the immune system. One could take 20,000 units a day to start, then scale back to 10,000 units after 2 weeks or so(there may be some toxicity in larger quantities, such as 25,000+ units a day long term). As for calcium and magnesium, citrate is a very good form. Another good choice is ascorbates, which are buffered vitamin C with the mineral. That way you get your calcium or magnesium at the same time as vitamin c, and in a buffered form. Zinc is important. I suggest people take 30-50 mg a day(although this could be increased up to 100 mg just for a few days during periods of fever or other acute illness). Zinc picolinate is a good form to take. I am having second thoughts about selenium supplements(did you see my post about that?) So little selenium is needed, and how it interacts with the mercury is uncertain( there could be positive or negative effects. I probably get enough selenium from food anyway). I am using a basic freeze dried acidophilus(plus some other strains) and some plain yogurt with active cultures. My favorite herbal supplements are now raw garlic and ginger(or ginger oil) as anti parasitic and antifungal, my favorite oil is extra virgin coconut oil(only use virgin or extra virgin oil).

Malic acid didn't help me. General detoxification(detox teas, or licorice root, dandelion, ginger, dandelion, etc. helped me. So does molybdenum). Extra magnesium helps. Those on a low sodium diet might benefit from taking in some additional sodium. Eating plenty of low carb vegetables is important to get enough potassium. Also make sure to drink plenty of water.
I believe numbness and tingling are mostly due to a magnesium deficiency. Try taking more magnesium in a good form(perhaps citrate or ascorbate?).

Garlic and ginger are two of my favorites too. I chew a clove of raw garlic and I add ginger to my juicer when I make vegetable juices. A few times I added garlic to my juices but each time I came very close to vomitting (in that form it burned my esophagus). Yesterday I added wheat grass powder back into my regimen and I am feeling noticeably better. I used to use it and stopped for no particular reason - just moved onto something else I guess, but I am going to keep it up. My veins swell up now and again and within 5 minutes of drinking the wheat grass, they go down and I feel more energetic.

Other invigorating and medicinal herbs are peppermint and cinnamon. an easy way to add them is to use a few drops of the essential oil. Peppermint and cinnamon are also antifungal and antiparasitic.

Others think this may be related to a calcium or vitamin D deficiency, or a thyroid problem.

I am now thinking this might also be due to acetylaldehyde toxicity. Molybdenum supplements can help with this. Search this forum for my posts on acetylaldehyde.
