Let me start by saying I live way out in the boonies. There are no natural doctors out here, and I know I need to find one in the city, but I really can't afford it, and it will be really hard to get to one, considering I have little ones at home, and no one that can really babysit for me right now. If need be, I will try whatever I can to figure out a way, if I can't figure this out on my own.
I am in a bad way tonight. I have been feeling some thyroid problems coming on for some time. The feeling "cold" all the time is getting worse, the burning in my mouth is getting worse, my throat has been feeling for a few months like there's something "stuck" in it. Even when I swallow my vitamins, I feel like they are scraping my throat all the way down, like it's swollen. I have gotten a little worse, then a little better.
Friday was finally my appointment with the dentist. It was a long wait. I got all of the amalgam taken out of my mouth on the left upper and lower (still have the right side to go). My jaw and gums were really sore afterwards and through the weekend. I had my mouth open so long, and I have a bad case of TMJ, so I just figured that it has been acting up since. Mentally, things have cleared up for me some since the removal. I think a badly leaking filling that I had, was causing a lot of my recent brain fog. My oldest daughter graduated Saturday, and I was worried I'd be sick, but I felt great, better than I had in months...Thank God. Saturday night, I started feeling like I was getting a sore throat, but that's really not what it was. It's not like a typical sore throat, but like someone squeezing my esophagus and making it sore, if that makes sense. I have pain where I think my thyroid is at. Some of this feels like it's favoring my left side of my throat. The pain is SO "F"-ing excrutiating that I've been having to take pain pills (I hate taking any kind of medicine), and I really don't know what to do to help it. I am currently doing a Humaworm cleanse, and am around day 12. The Humaworm has helped clean my colon some, but have not seen anything suspicious in my stool yet, other than some suspect undigested food (which worries me, and I'm sure I have leaky gut). I don't take selenium on a regular basis, and I think I should be. I just went and took one. I think someone said something about getting some iodine of some sort. I just don't know what else to do.
Right now, besides the full adult dose of Humaworm, I am currently taking Algin, 2000 mg Vitamin C, Milk Thistle, and Magnesium. Now, I've added the Selenium. I really need your help...what else can I take to help this thyroid and maybe adrenal issue, and still be able to continue my Humaworm. I have never felt quite like this, or felt this kind of pain in my throat, and I'm getting very scared. I'm afraid if I don't do something quick, I'm going to end up having to go the conventional doctor, and I don't want to do that, because they will just prescribe me a bunch of crap that probably won't help me, and I have NO FAITH in any MD anymore. I've also had pains the last few weeks on the tops of my legs, which seem to be on the bone. In fact, it looks like I have a couple little bumps between the bone and the skin. This worries me too, and I was wondering if anyone else has had anything like this from either thyroid or taking Humaworm...or anything else.

Hi Mommy24, I'm very sorry to hear this . mercury poisoning is horrible, not just directly but indirectly in what it can stuff up inside the human body. Removing it is also very stressful. You are exposed to even more of the stuff during replacement, which can then make you feel even worse later on. Sometimes it can be a delayed reaction. Thyroid is a big one for mercury too and mercury can block the action of iodine, which is crucial for thyroid and many other functions in the body. Mercury depletes, displaces, blocks many essential elements that are required for proper functioning of these glands and other areas of the body and brain. It can cause underactive or overactive, or underweight or overweight. Excessive appetite, or loss of appetite. There really isn't much it cannot interfere with. Overgrowth of yeast can do much the same. So there is not always a way of knowing what is responsible, but mercury is so often at the bottom of it all. This has all pretty much been spoken about recently on this forum (thyroid), you may have seen them? I'll re-post them here. One should really treat both adrenals and thyroid. If possible, by natural means, diet and supplements. I won't repeat the same information, because there is too much of it, so hope you don't mind me posting the links to those posts. They are related to the thyroid and adrenals and will hopefully help you if that is what the problems are caused by. http://herballure.com/ubbthreads/sh...&sb=5&o=&fpart=1http://herballure.com/ubbthreads/sh...&sb=5&o=&fpart=1http://herballure.com/ubbthreads/sh...&sb=5&o=&fpart=1Diet is very important, and proteins and fats are very healing and can help these glands too. If you have trouble with swallowing supplements, you may need to get hold of powdered and liquid supplements instead. Powdered vitamin C, powdered multi vitamin/mineral, liquid milk thistle, liquid selenium, etc. You need vitamin E, selenium, magnesium, calcium, iodine, zinc etc, all those things for the thyroid, as well as B vitamins. This is also good for adrenals as well. You don't want to overdo iodine, but you DEFINITELY do not want to underdo it either. The information on those links will give more explanation than I am giving here.

Thank you, Bex. I had read 2 out of 3 of those threads, but I just went and re-read them. I actually feel a little better since I took the Selenium. Maybe that's something I needed desperately. I will go dig around in my "vitamin store" and see what other supplements I can find. I will have to go somewhere to find some iodine, unless I have a multi somewhere that has it. I wonder if I've been getting worse, because I have been eating mostly sea salt. I do use the occasional shake of iodized salt, for the iodine, but obviously it's not at all enough. This is all so tough.
What do you think about the DHEA? I saw where you posted it, in the thread about adrenals. I have read that a woman is obviously not supposed to take a very high dose of this, but I'm not sure what I should be taking. I have some of it, I believe 50mg and 25mg, but I would have to look to be sure. I also have a book about DHEA, but I haven't read it yet. I guess I should get it out.

Hi Mommy. Congrats of starting getting the amalgams out! It is a necessary evil. How much selenium are you taking a day? You don’t want to take too much. 200mg is the max dose a day. I don’t know about TMJ, so I can’t help on that. Your inclination on normal doctors is correct. They will not understand what you are doing and just prescribe drugs which will inhibit your symptoms and do nothing about the underlying problems. It’s important to understand you have a lot of things going on at the moment, amalgam removal and Humaworm too and kids and all the other stuff I’m sure is flying about. Amalgam removal on its own can be quite difficult. You always get a bit of a dose of mercury, it’s unavoidable, and very often this directly affects the adrenals and thyroids, putting them under stress and that’s why you feel cold. This is a complicated subject and a quick email is nowhere near enough. If u don’t have/can’t get a NP then the only why is to learn it yourself. Means you gotta read a book about it. It is important you understand you have adrenal and thyroid problems. You may not be in a position to sort them out right now, but at some point you will find some time to learn for yourself what u need to do. Quick/easy answers I don’t have. I do know lots of easy to understand books that will help you. Salt is good to take. 100pct needs to be sea salt or rock salt. Table salt is a poison and should be avoided like the plague that it is. I still take 1 to 2 teaspoons of rock salt each day and that helps my adrenals. Kelp is good too, if you have any around, but start slow and build up slowly seeing how u feel. I would pump up the Vit C to bowel tolerance. Mine is 12-15 grams a day. Take divided doses every 3-4 hours, pref with food, until BM’s get “loose” then back off 1 or 2 grams. This will help a lot. Re Humaworm. You are on day 12. I believe this is your first HW too. You are having a healing crisis. That is very good news and very important that YOU understand that and understand what it means. I know….I know….it hurts and it feels like death, but this is very good news. Your body is throwing off toxins as fast as it can. Did you know that your body cannot, will not, have a healing crisis unless your body is ready. Body needs to be strong to have a healing crisis and your body will not allow it to happen unless it is strong enough. http://www.the-natural-path.com/healing-crisis.htmlhttp://www.falconblanco.com/health/crisis.htmhttp://curezone.com/art/read.asp?ID=10&db=13&C0=74(googled at random, if you google some more it you will find many more interesting things about healing crisis’s.) It is very important to drink lots of water, herb teas, juices (preferably freshly squeezed.) Take it easy, rest, relax, take good care of yourself. Keep your diet as healthy as you can manage. I guess you will question if you should continue HW or break from it. I would say you should try hard to battle on. However there is no need to go through hell on earth, and if you feel the need to have a day off from HW, then use your intuition and break for a day or two until the worst has passed. You will know, deep down, if you need to break from it or not. You should discuss this on the Humaworm thread too. RG at Humaworm deals with these healing crisis’s everyday…that’s what his products do…so ask him. You can email him directly if you don’t want to go on Curezone thread. Contacts as per the HW webpage. If you realise that what you are going through is a healing crisis, and that you will feel better when it passes, that should make it slightly more bearable. Healing crisis’s usually last 3 days, but can last 7-10 days in very sick people. On my first HW I had two healing crisis’s…was nasty for 4 days and then 1 week later I had another that was again 4 days long. Every healing crisis is followed by much better health. That’s what its all about…your body is expelling deep seated toxins, that have been in you for years and years….they hurt coming out….but the result will ALWAYS be better health once it has passed. Remember drink lots of liquids….you need to flush the toxins out. Another thing….are you regular? BM’s ? regular? Needs to be! Drink lots. If you are not let me know and we will figure out how to make you regular. One thing that will help is an enema. That’s irrespective if you are regular or not. Don’t know if you tried that, but that will defo help ease the symptoms considerably. If you have never braved one, maybe not the best time to try…but if you did, I guarantee it will ease your suffering. Hang in there, it will pass and when you are out the otherside…. I look forward to you telling us how much better you are……

Mommy, sorry to hear about you feeling so bad!! I went through something similar a couple of months ago. Strange enough, I was doing a parasite cleanse. I had the feeling of food being stuck in my throat. It really is a scary feeling!! I ate soft food for a while. The things that helped me was drinking celtic salt in a glass of warm water upon rising. Rebounding on a trampoline, very good for alot of things including your thyroid. Dry brushing before showers or baths. celtic salt baths are good for you too!! These things will give you relief I hope you feel better soon!!!

I got all of the amalgam taken out of my mouth on the left upper and lower (still have the right side to go). My jaw and gums were really sore afterwards and through the weekend. I had my mouth open so long, and I have a bad case of TMJ, so I just figured that it has been acting up since. Mercury can make your mouth feel quite sore, you probably got some in your gums in the removal process. Dentists tried to diagnosis me with TMJ (which I never had before) after my dental nightmare,. Chelating (DMPS in particular) make the jaw pain go away. And removing some big amalgam filled molars cleared up my neck aches too. Rinsing your mouth with powdered chlorella helps whole bunches if you aren't going the chelation route with something as major as DMPS IV. Let the chlorella sit onyour teeth and gums a few minutes, the rinse and spit, don;t swallow it. You might want to do that a couple times a day for a week or so. Gargle with it to help your throat. and I was wondering... why aren't calcium and zinc on this list - ( I am currently taking Algin, 2000 mg Vitamin C, Milk Thistle, and Magnesium.) ? It's really helpful to supplement with all 3 - magnesium, calcium and zinc, not just magnesium - to help replace minerals as your body cleans itself of toxins like mercury (and lead and cadmium etc). Hang in there, not much a doc will do for you anyway except empty your wallet and blah blah you. Not sure I would proceed with a parasite cleanse while trying to remove mercury that is causing painful symptoms. some of the parasites actually help lessen your symptoms, you might want to ease up on the humaworm for a a bit and get back to it in a couple weeks. The idea of parasite dieoff in combo with amalgam removal that caused painful jaw doesn't thrill me. My jaw and throat were extremely sore too prior to being sent to my knees with mercury poisoning btw. Colon cleansing helps a lot (#1 on my list for major symptoms) and it would be helpful to chelate. You might want to double or triple your algin dose for the next couple weeks if you don't have anything else for that on hand. And make sure you are taking some cod liver oil everyday. And those vitamins, selenium included. Make sure your body has all the basic good nutrients it needs and things should clear up faster. I really don't think it's thyroid, simply because it sounds exactly like my experience after a dental visit where they did a very bad job of removing some amalgam. and i don't seem to have any thyroid issues. Iodine will help your body maintain warmth. Kelp is a good source of that and will work real well with algin. Potassium iodide is also good. iherb.com sells both online. Russ probably sells both here too, not sure. The bentonite clay enemas are superb btw, for both mercury and parasites. You could do that for a couple weeks instead of the humaworm and still stay on track with your parasite cleanse in a round about way and minimize or even eliminate die-off symptoms too. Just get those toxins out as quickly and efficiently as possible is the main idea. The bentonite would probably also be very effective with your lyme diesease, kills and clears so much stuff so why not try it for that too. I admit the (high) enemas are a pain, pun very much intended there.. but they seem to be essential for total recovery. Day 7 or so of humaworm parasite cleanse here.. the only symptom has been slightly swollen glands (dieoff I guess). No itching, no critters in the bm's so far though I am sure I had a few in my stomach... but of course I have been doing the enemas every 5-6-7 days or so so they may have gotten flushed away already and I couldn't see anything because of the foggy clay water. I am also taking some colon cleanse herbs, not humaworm though, too expensive and too much psyllium for me, got mine for $14 at the health food store. They work great, Super Cleanse the name I think, yellow box. Just taking those a few days a week. I have been doing lots of cleansing the past year, starting to really feel reliably on track, work is actually going quite well too. I am going to finish this parasite cleanse with a liver flush too, my 6th. Everything I have done, with the exception of the IV chelation, has been done at a minimum of cost. The original dental work ($$$!X?@!) and then the IV's cost me quite a bundle and left me broke for a bit... the clay enemas (#1) and liver flushes (#2) really do top my list for the best things you can do for yourself without going into debt. And vitamins, cod liver oil (and vco) included. Milk thistle is great, I bought some seeds the nieghbors are going to love that...

Hi, everyone, thank you for your responses.
Sunshine, I am taking 200mg selenium, so I will stick with that, then. Yes, I am sure I got a little exposure to the mercury. My dentist is actually very good, but I know it is unavoidable. I am trying to read as much as I can, in fact, I have a stack of books a few feet high, by my bedside table. lol I would love the names of the books, so I can see about ordering them.
Yes, I have been trying to avoid table salt. If the dash of it is not helping with the iodine, I will cut that out, also. I know it is not good for you. BTW, I am on a "gluten-free" diet now, because I thought it would help. I am not avoiding sugar, but not eating a lot of anything sugary, either. My dentist recommended I not try a candida diet yet, because he feels it is protecting me from the mercury, and that it would be doing too much, too fast...and I think he is right.
I will up the vitamin C, and see how that goes. I have been prone to loose stools for years and years and years. Once in awhile they are formed, and sometimes nearly "normal", but mostly quite loose, so it's hard to judge (I would love your input on making the stools better). I am one of those people that generally go back and forth between constipation, and extreme gas w/loose stools. The Humaworm has helped my bowel movements to be more predictable (Yes, this is my first HW), give or take around 45 min - 2 hours after I take the Humaworm. I have not seen anything in my stool yet, other than, and I don't even know how to describe it, little tiny, thin paper looking things. Does not look like any kind of worm, looks more like little pieces of skin, or layers of something. Almost like mini pieces of cellophane plastic, curled up. I wondered if it was some of the capsules, from the supplements I take, but I don't really think it's that. I do know I have something, though, because after the very first dose of Humaworm, I got an INTENSE itching in my anal area, and then it went away. Other than that, I've been doing really well on the Humaworm, and have my husband taking it, too.
I do feel like it's a healing crisis, and I think I might go ahead and take today off of the HW and see how it goes. I saw on curezone the other day, where he said it was ok to miss a day now and then, and that it will keep working.
I have not done an enema yet, but am willing to try. I have always wanted to try it...all of you talk of how much better it makes you feel.

Thank you, Treva. I will try the salt water and some of the other things you suggested. I actually don't feel too bad right now, other than the pain in my mouth/jaw, and the feeling someone is choking me and pain in the throat. I can't wait until this part is over.

Sos, Yes, the mercury can definitely make the mouth sore. One of the teeth was nearly entirely metal. The amalgam was touching my gums for so many years, and I always felt like it was making them irritated. When I had all these put in, 16 yrs ago, I had a terrible reaction, and that was my first sign of what was to come. I wish I had known then. I took DEATHLY sick, and I would've just as soon let someone kill me, I really felt that bad. The dentist would do nothing for me, and it was finally antibiotics that brought me out of it, but at a price. If they had not helped, maybe someone would've helped me...maybe one of my family members would've stepped in, or I would've finally given up and gone to a hosptial (which in hindsight is what I should've done anyway) so they could've SEEN the reaction I had from having fillings put in. Regardless, what happened, happened, but if I hadn't been so young, naive and on my own, I wouldn't have suffered so long at home, thinking it might start getting better, before I sought help. I was a little distant from my family then (had just got separated from my husband), and even though I know I told them about it, NONE of them recall what happened to me. I even had my mom watching my daughter, because I could no longer care for her, it was so bad. It's nice that no one cared enough to remember.
Well, I'm not chelating DMPS or anything. I still have 5 or 6 amaglam teeth left. I will definitely try the Chlorella rinse. I also use Oregano juice and oregano oil. I have had real good success with it. I do the same thing with the juice, and rinse with it, and let it sit in my mouth. I will try that with the Chlorella, too.
Yea, I got so confused on the supplements. Started taking them when I wasn't right in the head, and couldn't keep track of what I was supposed to take with what. I have a combo high potency formula, it is 1,000 mg Calcium, 400 mg Magnesium, and 25 mg Zinc...is that enough? Or do I need to supplement with more than just this? This one has magnesium oxide and gluconate, and I usually take magnesium citrate, if that makes any difference. I want to make sure what I'm taking is sufficient.
I am trying to avoid the doctor like the plague! I know so many people, that everytime they fart crossways, they go to the doctor and get a prescription for it. It makes me sick!! Really, like at least once every week or two, some of them just have to go all the time. I just haven't had any faith in doctors in so long, I think even before all of this. They are just "pill-pushers" and they push you to take all this crap, that gets recalled, and now you've poisoned your body with all of it. I actually reached a point in my life where I was seeing a psychiatrist, because I thought I was going crazy. I was having hallucinations, hearing my own voice giving me morbid thoughts. Like I'd be sitting at an intersection, and it would say in my head that I should just pull out in the intersection and let everyone wreck and get killed, or picturing what it would be like to choke my daughter, and sick, SICK things like that. This would happen several times a day, and there was nothing I could do to control it. They put me on Zyprexa to control the hallucinations, and since then it has been RECALLED, and has been known to cause diabetes in many people that have taken it. Look what I've done to my body!!!! Guess what, since I looked back on it, trying to realize what caused all of those, I concluded that it was around the time I had went to the dentist and got my teeth cleaned. Seriously. I remember them "polishing up those metal fillings" to make them look new again. EEEEEK! What a scary thought. It only took my dentist doing an evaluation with a pick, to see where I needed fillings to make me feel drunk, recently. It's a wonder I survived those hallucinations. Right there, I could've killed myself and other people, and even though I would've never hurt my daughter, and had to fight the hallucinations, if I had been someone that did not have the will to fight them, I very well could've put many people in danger. Now, would you not believe that some of the killers and psychopaths of today, and people locked up in prison are not amalgam poisoned? I would.
I will take some extra algin, and try some of the cod liver oil. Well, I seem to think he did a pretty good job of removing the amalgam, because he was cautious enough to double and triple check that he had removed it all, before even attempting to fill them. If there was any question as to whether he got it all, he went back in and cleaned the tooth some more, until he was satisfied. The reason I have thought thyroid, is because this all started happening for several weeks to a month before my appointment. Just seems like it is more aggravated now. I will check into the iodine and kelp. I actually bought some of the bentonite clay on Friday, and have taken two clay baths, and have been impressed by how good they made me feel. I initially got it for my little kids, to give them baths, since they are mercury toxic from me and their vaccinations, and have heard it is good to start detoxing them. I told my husband I am going to take stock in that clay, and by some more up next time I go to town. I had wondered if that could be used in an enema. I am ready to try this and see if it helps. Do you have any pointers on how much I would use to make the enema, and how often I would do this, and how long do I leave it in? I have not done any liver flushes yet, as I read (I think on curezone) that to try and do a bowel/parasite cleanse, clean up dental work, and then do a liver cleanse, I believe?
I am glad you are getting back on track, sweetie. That is so encouraging to me, and I look forward to feeling better. I hope your health only gets better and better. Truthfully, other than this mouth/neck/thryroid pain whatever it is, and my fibromyalgia type pains (hurt to the touch, bone/muscle/joint pain) I feel tremendously better than I have in a long time. Mentally, I am thinking clearer, better staying on task, handling stress better right now than I have in awhile.

As Sos said, amalgam removal and parasite cleaning…not the ideal combination, but hey…you have started...as long as it’s not hell on earth…its worth persevering. When in a healing crisis….best to keep on talking the herbs because they will continue doing their job, which is removing toxins as quickly as possible. Breaking for a day may help…again use your intuition…..you will know deep down what the right thing to do is. Keep thinking how you think about those bloody doctors…you know they will just give loads of bloody drugs. If they knew what they where doing we would not be in this blinking mess! I have not done any liver flushes yet, as I read (I think on curezone) that to try and do a bowel/parasite cleanse, clean up dental work, and then do a liver cleanse, I believe? yes, its best if you do them in that order….makes everything easier. If you haven’t done much bowel cleansing…the more the merrier. I have been prone to loose stools for years and years and years. Once in awhile they are formed, and sometimes nearly "normal", but mostly quite loose, so it's hard to judge (I would love your input on making the stools better). bowel cleanse bowel cleanse bowel cleanse bowel cleanse bowel cleanse bowel cleanse….yes… bowel cleanse. Many different ways to do it. Professional colonics and herbs are top of the list. Both together would be great. If you have a colonic..you will have a professional in charge and will make doing you own enema’s much easier to understand and figure out. However you think about these things…the first is always tricky…but its all in the head. A professional colonic will make a big difference for you. There are loads of ways to bowel cleanse http://curezone.com/cleanse/bowel/default.aspI just want to say it again. A healing crisis is a real good thing, even though it’s a rough ride, toxins are leaving you in droves and you always feel better after a healing crisis. Healing crisis should be embraced as a glorious turning point. Many people strive for a healing crisis because they know it always leads to better health. Re your next amalgam removal…..wait until you have recovered from 1) the first amalgams removed, 2) the current healing crisis 3) after HW is finished 4) you are feeling back to normal again. You do not want symptoms on top of symptoms. LOL Take care Mommy

Ok, books. ummmm….the book I am recommending is a bit of a beast. I have read 40-ish health books over this last 16 months. Some good, some rubbish, some average and some totally awesome and unbelievably good, some so good that they completely changed the way I understand my body and completely changed the way I go about healing myself up. This book recommendation is one of those life changer books. I think this is top-of-my-list of all of the alternative health books I have read. Above Cutlers books. It is BIG, it covers a lot of things, but you cannot fail to learn so much that will help you get better, and get better quicker. I certainly don’t understand some of the things in there, I certainly don’t agree with everything in there, but the vast majority is fabulous and greatly helped my understanding of what is required of me to heal. He explains things very clearly and very well. I know a couple of others that are currently reading this book on Herballure and they are enjoying it. I just re-read it. I promise you I don’t re-read books unless they are worth it. This bloke is one of the best/biggest advocates of liver flushing and body cleansing and he tells you why. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Timeless-Se...ks&qid=1209277477&sr=8-1I know its expensive, but I promise you that is cheap for a book with so much info and that is so very inspiring too. Adrenals and thyroids. I have read 5 different books about this subject. I must say I found it difficult to understand.
