I am considering removing mine because I have read that some of the inks contain mercury. (See, e.g., http://www.infozine.com/news/stories/op/storiesView/sid/19124/). Has anyone looked into this? I'm wondering if there is a "safe" or "preferred" way to remove them in light of the potential presence of mercury.

Dear Williamacton, I too have a tattoo, but figure if there was Mercury in the ink, it will already have entered the bloodstream, so don't see much point in having it removed. That's just my theory. Lots of Love Tracy x

I have a tattoo. When I started chelation it really itched massively, like for the first 5 rounds. Doesn’t itch anymore, but it has faded a little after 14 rounds of chelation.

I had an Ace of hearts when I was 16…….in red! What a joy! Then I got a really big cover up job…..in black & red…
I think I have had every possible exposure to mercury that you can get!
Amalgams, vaccinations, flu jabs, busted thermometers, tattoos, eye drops for contact lens’s and my granddad was a dentist and I used to play in his dental practice as a kid.
