I'm wondering if anyone knows if there is any long term side affects caused by silver? I've been using it on and off for three years. I use it mainly when me or a family member is sick. My dog gets hot spots and I use it on her, it works wonderful. I read that it turned a man blue but he was making his own. I buy mine from a health food store. I used the silver on my face, I'm wondering if there would be a side affect to the skin?
I would appreciate any input that anybody has!!

Colloidal silver: good stuff. The particles need to be small.

The man who got argyria (turned blue) was drinking "home-brew" which did not bear much resemblance to the high-quality, harmless product you can buy. I put it in my neti pot when I'm coming down with a cold and it clears the symptoms up pretty quickly.

I did read up about this, and I know there are lots of conflicting views about cordial silver……….but to me….adding more heavy metal into my body just sounds like a crazy thing to do.

When I sit down and actually think about ….”adding extra metal into me”……just…….just ……no……. sorry, it just feels wrong. It can’t be a sensible thing to do.

When I think about it, it reminds me of all those dumbass dentist saying amalgams are fine and safe…but if you think about putting poison in you mouth it’s obviously a dumb idea….i know cordial silver is not a poison like mercury…but still….if you think about putting heavy metal in your body..........don’t seem right.

I have always wanted to try the Silver, but I agree, I don't know if it should be in the body. I have always been very hesitant, because I think I would be putting one more thing in my body that doesn't belong there. I think I am too scared to try it. Metals effect me so much.

collidal silver was used for yrs before pharma companies made dangerous antibiotics, there was no superbugs then, and they are actually trying to ban it because no money can be made on it and they know how superior it is compared to antibiotics, even the strongest ones. i always have a bottle of it in my cupboard, i give it to my cat and gerbil when they are ill, it works miracles.

The dangers of silver are a myth. It has been used for hundreds of years and thousands swear by it, including me. It has been very widely studied.

The only reason there is limited information about it on the web is because the FDA is scaring people to death about making claims. Of course, the only reason for the FDA crackdown is because colloidal silver has the potential to destroy the antibiotic industry, which is currently worth tens-of-billions per year.

The only 2 or so reported problems were with solutions that cannot be considered colloidal because of their particle size.
