Hi

I am new to the forum; I am suffering from EHS and have finally figured out the reason - my amalgam fillings (17)!

If it wasn't for the internet (Google) I think I would of killed myself by now. As every doctor I have seen has been useless and family/friends think I am mad.

This website has been a real gem of a find on Google. The dentists that still place amalgams are diminishing fast and I think it is all down to the internet and the uncontrolled access to information. Only know thanks to Google do I know how bad amalgams are and that they are causing all my problems. All the heartache and turmoil, people thing you are mad when you tell them that you are allergic to mobile phones/masts but now I can say that I am suffering from mercury poisoning due to my fillings! I reckon people can understand the logic behind that.

The amalgam placing dentists days are numbered with the increase of mobile masts and everyone drinking coke (fillings). Recession (skint) people can't afford expensive composites so just get amalgams which are safe!!

More and more people are going to get EHS and make the link to their amalgam fillings. No longer is amalgam fillings a 'slow poison' i.e. alzheimer's. People, thanks to electromagnetic radiation are actually feeling the mercury in their bodies.

The Internet is the savoir. Amalgams days are numbered. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/googleit.gif" alt="" />

i hope the amalgam using dentists are numbered, though i found here in the Uk,in my area, all the dentists i have called believe in amalgam being safe, but in London it is a different story, so now i have insurance for me and my kids to go to a properly trained amalgam free dentist in London. I recently made a mistake of sending my child to a mickey mouse dentist where i live and he placed amalgam cos he thought he knew best, but i got the amalgam removed right away so hopefully my daughter will be okay. i agree about the internet it has saved my life totally, this website is a godsend, literally. dawn x

Hi Weety and welcome. Glad you found something that finally makes sense to all the bloody problems you been experiencing. Yes, this forum is a wonderful base to learn how to ignore all those useless doctors we have been trusting for far too long. I have found its best to just totally ignore them, they kept pointing me in the wrong direction. Holistic/alternative practitioners are good, but this mercury malarkey we are in is very difficult because even those holistic/alternative practitioners don’t know how to handle mercury issues properly, ok…..a few do…but far far more don’t and end up hurting mercury poisoned people.

Most people on this forum have been hurt, some more than others, by following a trusted doctors advise. I know I have repeatedly. Prolly everone, so it’s real important to be able to put what you have learned from them…..away…out of your mind….and start a fresh and learn for yourself whats wrong and how to go about getting better. To which I wish you good luck and bon voyage!

I found Andy Cutler’s book Amalgam illness an almost exact mirror image of my health troubles reflected in his book. Everything, so far, that he has written has happened in the way he said it would. He and his protocol have been essential in my understanding and learning of how to heal myself up.

HI Weety, so glad you found this forum too and welcome <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I echo your feelings regarding suicide and how family/relatives/friends can think you mad or neurotic and doctors being useless. Though I have a few of each who have been helpful and supportive, the rest have been far from it. Having mercury toxicity is more than difficult enough to bear and is often responsible for causing direct suicidal thoughts, even in someone naturally very positive, plus the long long list of other bizzare and tormenting symptoms. So with that, to handle cynicism on top of it can be the last straw. Somehow, you have to seek out people who understand this, believe in it and will give support to you. Because it is lonely enough!

This is one example that the internet can be used for so much good. And considering so many mercury toxic don't go out, or can't go out, it's even more crucial that they have this outlet.

I hope you find the help you need and information beneficial. Having 17 fillings is just mind blowing to me. I had 8 and was very poisoned. I don't quite know how they can actually fill a person's mouth with that many amalgams, when there is apparently a limit (even with them) in how many they are meant to allow. I thought it was no more than 4.... If that is truly the case, they're even worse than I thought.

Hi Weety! I am so glad you made it here. I too, first found this forum on google, once I realized what I really had wrong with me. This is a wonderful place, with caring, supportive people. I have been suicidal, and I echo your thoughts on everyone thinking you're crazy. They have and they do think I've got a "screw loose" for thinking that fillings are making me sick, but I am on a path now, and I will make sure they all eat their words when they see the changes in me, and I am working on making sure the whole world knows what these fillings have done to us. This has become my passion...getting well, and stopping this madness. I still have my amalgams in (16 placements), but just had my first dentist appt today with the dentist that is going to help me, and I am pumped up.

I think if it wasn't for the internet, I would've already commited suicide or be in a hospital bed or asylum somewhere. I was just talking to my husband about that, a couple of days ago. No regular doctors help, everything is "hush hush" about amalgams, so if it wasn't for the internet, I would've never known what was wrong with me. I would've just assumed I had some terminal disease, and was dying from it. At least now, I KNOW what it is (whether others believe it or not) and I am on a road to make myself better.

We welcome you here with open arms.

Hi can anyone tell me roughly how much 17 amalgams will cost to get replaced in the UK? Has anyone got the name of a good dentist please?

I am skint so I will have to get a bank loan. This is an awful state of affairs, the fillings were free for me to have put in because I am so poor and they are going to make me even poorer.

I hope I win the lottery, soon. Is there any anti-amalgam charity’s in the UK??

My head is battered, every time I go in the garden I can feel the mercury in my brain reacting to the electromagnetic waves from the mobile mast. My heart starts racing. Tinnitus. Mouth goes numb. Struggle to do thinks. Blurred vision. irratible. burning sensation on my scalp. My latest pain is in my kidneys, I can feel the mercury being excited in my kidneys by the radiation!

read shows a field full of fluorescent tubes under power cables lighting up.

ref wikipedia; A fluorescent lamp or fluorescent tube is a gas-discharge lamp that uses electricity to excite mercury vapor in argon or neon gas, resulting in a plasma that produces short-wave ultraviolet light. This light then causes a phosphor to fluoresce, producing visible light.

- just like my head!!!!!!!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/reallymad.gif" alt="" />

I used this dentist, because he was local to me and is a member of iaomt, Peter Mendelsohn http://www.carnabystreetdentist.co.uk/

Each filling cost Ł170, Inlays for the big fillings cost Ł700. I guess you could negotiate a better price because you got so many of the buggers:(

He can also arrange and suggest cheap compatability testing for you, which is most important ....cost Ł40 (and I can recommend someone else too at similar cost in north London)

One real important thing….don’t skimp on removal of amalgams. I know it costs a bomb, but short cuts will just lead to even more pain and suffering and make recovery longer.

When I say “don’t skimp”, I mean don’t go to a regular dentist and get them whipped out with no protection. I mean you must have protection for amalgam removal. Skimp on other stuff.

Dr Hesham seems to be the best in the UK, he uses a mercury vapour analyser to guarantee he gets out all the mercury. I plan on using him in the future.

Just sent an email to Dr Hesham enquiring on costs, I am going to shop around. I will contact carnaby street as well thanks sunshine.

There is a swedish amalgam free dentist here on the Isle of Man that I am going to go and see tomorrow so I can grill him with huggins protocol questions. Fingers crossed he might tick all the boxes although I doubt it.

Good luck in yr investigations Weety. If you haven’t already….”It’s all in your head” by Hal huggins is a good book to read. Will give you a lot of help in understanding why and how amalgam removal can be done safely.

It is a double edged sword, as there is a huge amount of disinformation on the internet too

I'm pretty sure if we all looked at how much we have spent on supplements/books/etc we would be shocked.

The crappy quality of a good amount of doctors has caused a boom in the drug/supplements industry, taking advantages of desperate people.

The internet does however provide hope to the hopeless patient, and that can be better than any type of medicine

There is also a lot of misinformation around on the net, even from those who mean well. I haven't spent money on anything else than on supplements (no books) and removal, and the supplements were necessary for me. I wouldn't be in such a good shape now without them. Still own thinking and research is necessary, it can be outright dangerous to trust in just one authority. Supplements are still needed, you can't talk yourself well, you need the right chemicals.

Well today I wasted most of my lunch hour waiting to speak to the swedish dentist, him turned out to be a her. I walked into the surgery which was new and modern, armed with a copy of hal huggins book 'it's all in your head'. She greeted me, and I asked her my first and last question. ' ! Do you take electric current readings of fillings. No was the answer, so I said goodbye.

The search goes on, still waiting to here back from El-essawy.

I agree, I think that supplementation is necessary. Mercury and other toxins deplete much needed nutrients/essential elements and diet is not always enough, particularly when such a high toxic burden is going on. Added to that, most of us do not eat organically grown perfectly ripened fruits and vegetables etc.

Sometimes just adding the right extra nutrients needed, it can be enough to boost detoxification and energy levels. I've experienced it myself. However, I'd not think it would be so effective if the person had not already improved/changed their diet first. Continuing to eat sugars, gluten etc, can, I imagine, undo much good that any supplement regime might have otherwise done.

Hi Weety, I do not know of any/many? Dentists who themselves take electronic readings of fillings. Usually its the alternative health therapists that do this, because some of them have an EAV machine (voll machine), which apparently can take readings off fillings and they can then tell you which ones to remove first etc.

Some dentists may work with or know of such a therapist and maybe able to send you there and vice versa, the therapist may send you to a biologic dentist. Not all biologic dentists do readings like this, I actually do not know of many at all. Yet I know of some that do work with such a health care providers that do indeed do readings.

Some biologic dentists that I know of do indeed do their own methods of testing for compatibility of dental materials etc. Also testing you for what you may require supplement wise, how sensitive you are, how much you require etc. Testing for all kinds of things.

I think there must be a few around who use EAV testing on amalgams to get readings, but probably quite rare! I do hope you find such a dentist, or at the very least a dentist who knows someone who does this or works with someone who does.

Best wishes to you!

The dentist I recommended does those electric readings on the teeth. I think it cost Ł180 or maybe Ł150…something like that.

My amalgams where removed in order, highest first, per quadrant. i.e the quadrant with highest individual tooth reading ….all the amalgams in that quadrant where removed in one sitting.

I have the readings somewhere if u want to compare voltages…..

Added to that, most of us do not eat organically grown perfectly ripened fruits and vegetables etc.

I used to take handfuls of supplements. I had taken an intracellar nutrient level test from Spectracell (quite informative, I thought). Showed I was low in Calcium, Zinc, and glutathione the first time. Started popping Cal/Mag supplements along with NAC and Zinc in addition to several others. Took another test. The Calcium did normalize, the Zn and glutathione had dropped even lower. Some of the minerals (in particular Zn) can take a long time to replenish. Plus, if we are still Hg toxic, they are still getting depleted still, so I agree we definitely need supplements. My problem is finding out which ones I need to be taking and in what amounts. I want to take enough to be effective, but I don't wanna OD either. I'm confused about how to supplement safely, so right now I'm taking nothing. I was taking a B-complex (the coenzymated kind because I wanted to preserve those precious minerals it takes for the body to do that job), but was afraid of too much niacin while BFing. Zn can be toxic in larger doses -- do we need to take larger doses if we are deficient or is it toxic in that we can only process certain amounts at a time? All this is really confusing to me, and I want to be careful about it. I do wish I knew what to take though. I especially need it because I am nursing my daughter still and I'm sure I'm low on most things.

I am soooooooooooooooooo grateful for the internet. Without it, I wouldn't be getting the answers I'm getting and may have stayed chronically ill for the rest of my life. Agreed, you have to be really careful about who you trust though, but that's no different than real life. Deciding what to believe can be a real challenge, especially when many times there have been few if any studies that have covered what we need to know.

I got most of my supplement regime from Cutler’s books. He is into Mega Supplementation. I tried it and it seems to help, at least I continue to heal. I get more good days now than I did before.

Mind you, it took a long time to build up. Each supplement is researched and cross referenced with various sources, then muscle tested, then introduced at low dosage and slowly built up the dose over 3-4-5 days. Some take even longer…my adrenal support, ACE, has taken 2.5 months to build up. ( I guess from this that I have had adrenal fatigue for my whole life, which is why I am so sensitive to it and need to build up so slowly.)

Why? Why so much time and energy on supplements? Because I got hurt by a well meaning NP. Tried to help and I got hurtn pretty bad. Pain is a powerful motivator. Never again will I blindly take something as recommended anyone.

I’m chelating and I need all the support I can get. I take 20-ish supps per day.

Yes, without the internet I would be a lost, totally lost. Certainly it has saved my sorry arse. Have to work real hard though….none of this stuff comes on a plate…..<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/arroweater.gif" alt="" />

Hi Manonash, I understand your concerns. I think it also depends on the quality of the supplements, as to whether they are effective or not. I take mine mainly from a laboratory here in New Zealand - www.clinicians.co.nz You may find something near you that does similar. Alternative doctors usually use products like this also. You can find one and order from them or find the lab/product they are using and order it.

I use a supplement called viractive immune support powder which has a complex wide array of vitamins/minerals, well thought out and balanced and I believe this has helped me. I can add things to that if I wish to get some extra like selenium and zinc and vitamin E or whatever, but I think this powder is a very good foundation.

The other one that is almost identical to it is vitamin and mineral boost powder. So I wonder if you can get something like one of these? Because places like this know what they are doing and provide their stuff to doctors. Take a look at the website and maybe you could email them and find out if they know of other labs overseas like theirs....

Unfortunately we really do need help like this considering what mercury can do. But you just have to make sure you get the right stuff and enough of the stuff to make a difference. Little isn't going to change much if you have a severe deficiency. Sometimes you had to take high doses and then level off later once your body gets what it needs. But yes, I understand not wanting to overdose also, which is why you might do pretty well on a lab quality multi powder supplement.

I only want to get my fillings removed as Dr H Huggins suggests in his book. What else do i have to go on? According to Hal if the fillings are removed willie nillie, complete recovery is 10% as compared to sequential removal (electric testing) 50/60%.

Has anyone ever travelled from the UK to europe to get their teeth sorted out??

Hi Weety, I understand that. That's why I said that alternative health therapists are the ones that usually do this kind of testing. You can ask around, quite a few of them use EAV testing (voll testing) and use that to let you know which order your fillings should be removed in.

I have seen a few who do this in my country, but I haven't seen a dentist that does (so far). You can phone around and ask also. All you need is one of them to do this and then you can take the results to a biologic dentist and get him/her to remove them according to the results on testing.

I hope someone can let you know of someone near you who uses this machine, but I'd phone around or perhaps try and find someone on the net. Look up voll testing or EAV testing and see if you can find someone closer to you who does it.

Sorry, I wish I could be of more help.

i have used Dr David harvie Austin in London, he trained under Hal Huggins and is very precise, i can recommend him. Dr Hesham is highly recommended too but have not used him myself, he uses every protection thinkable.

I'm confused.

After just finishing reading Hal Huggins book, I now have it set in my head that sequential removal is essential to regain full health.

But am I right in saying that Dr El Essawy pulls them all in one go! Why is he ignoring the Huggins protocol and doing it his own way, is it better? Which is best to recover from electrosensitivity in particular my tinnitus?

Dr El Essawy seems to be the most thorough but he does not follow the Huggins protocol!! HELP I am confused. Remember I have 17 fillings and live on an Island in the middle of the Irish Sea.

Is it gonna be better to go Essawy and get them all removed on the same day? Or should I see a Huggins type dentist and make 4 separate trips. All of which will cost me a fortune with getting of the Island and getting and staying wherever??

I also have an impacted wisdom tooth that needs looking at, but I don't trust normal dentists anymore.

I have already had one wisdom tooth removed along with its neighboring tooth. The pain was unbelievable after wards and I suffered a horrible fever. So I reckon I might have cavitations as well???

Hi Weety, I'm sorry for the very difficult position you're in. I'm trying to think what I would do under the same circumstance and it's very hard.

For starters, I have heard that Huggins himself? Or a dentist that works with him have been known to take ALL amalgams out in ONE sitting. Um....so obviously Huggins must think this is ok, so long as they're taken out in the correct order perhaps? I know that Essaway works with (i'm quite certain here) someone who uses EAV or Voll testing? Surely they can test the measurements of your fillings and get them removed in the correct order? Or at least someone near you may use EAV machine testing? It's quite common, but not so common with dentists using it themselves. Some do though.

Just so you can get that done before you go for the removal, whether you do all amalgams at once, or a few amalgams at a time, perhaps taking them out in order no matter how many are done in one sitting is still ok. that will be up to you. I think in your position, with the cost of travel etc, you haven't really got the luxury of easy choice here.

It seems so many of these biologic dentists have studied for years themselves and had much experience on seeing which methods appear to work for the majority of their patients and Essaway mentions this also. They are not going to hit the jackpot everytime either.

personally for me? I would take the ultra cautious approach and get them removed a section at a time, even if it takes a long time to get that done. I know this is not just annoying to the extreme, but highly expensive for you. But I think even with the most perfect approach to protection, it's a heck of a lot of amalgams to be removed in one session. If you had only 4 or 5, it might be a much easier decision. If you cannot do this? based on finance etc, then you may have to opt for the full removal. I do know that Essaway uses full protection and he also uses temporary replacement materials to allow apparently for any trapped mercury in the tubules of each tooth to escape. Which may take 6 months or a year (I cannot recall exactly how long). But after that, the person goes back to him and gets the permanent replacements put in. He believes that this allows for a much more thorough detox.

I don't think any of us can tell you exactly which is the best way to go, because we are all different and respond differently to different amalgam removal protocols. Which one exacty is best for most people? I wish I knew. I see so many people on here with different problems, it's too hard to predict.....

For starters, anybody you do go to is at least aware of mercury and will offer proper protection. I did not even do THAT. I had mine removed willy nilly by mainstream dentists for the most part, no protection, nothing! No sequential removal either. Probably a very bad move in hindsight. My last amalgam removal, I swallowed amalgam (great eh). So yeah, I made a botch up of everything and so did the people I went to. I think no matter how you do it, the excretion of stored mercury following amalgam removal is not easy. No detox is easy. Perhaps sequential ordered removal somehow makes that process better....I personally do not really understand it and what exact difference it actually makes.

The owner of the forum Russ Tanner, maybe able to comment on this too. He has recovered from amalgam poisoning and I do not know whether he had the proper order removal or not. You may want to ask him about that. He's done very well!

Cavitations are very common. The immune system can do a pretty good job of keeping the bacteria localised, but in those severely immune compromised, sometimes this can become systemic with the immune system no longer able to keep this in place. Common causes of cavitations are the use of vaso-constrictors in aneasthetics (used to restrict blood circulation to the area, allowing prolonged and more intense numbing. Personally I never felt they worked any better than ones without vaso constrictors, if anything I had MORE problems with them and severe heart palpitations. I request non vaso-constrictors).

The next cause of cavitations is when the tooth is extracted, most dentists/oral surgeons, leave the periodontal ligament behind. This is what held the tooth (a bit like an umbilical cord). It SHOULD always be removed. Every bit of anything left behind should be cleared out to allow for proper healing and bone growth over the area. If not? potent gram negative bacteria can thrive there instead and of course spread from the jaw into the rest of the body.

Hal Huggins said that cavitation patients are sicker than the mercury ones! It has the potential to do great harm. It's been compared to mustard gas.

If your impacted wisdom tooth is not causing problems, I would simply take care of it and make sure you clean around it well and leave it alone (personally). I had slightly impacted wisdom teeth also and had them removed and they were perfect. I should have just left them alone, but the dentist said "Well they're impacted, they should come out to avoid future problems". Far from avoiding future problems, coincidence or not? I got MUCH MUCH sicker following those extractions and went down hill and never really came back up.

The one that has already been extracted? You can ask a biologic dentist who understands cavitations to open that site up and clear it out if you are concerned. Xrays can miss cavitations, they are notoriously difficult to diagnose. Hidden cavitations are the typical name and for good reason.

Whatever you do, make sure you request a non vaso-constrictor,/non epinephrine anaesthetic and ask that the peridontal ligament be removed as well as the tooth (if you are getting the impacted wisdom tooth removed). Eat a very healthy diet, taking minerals like magnesium and calcium also to aid healing (cod liver oil can also be helpful or halibut oil for vitamin A and D). Plus antioxidants like C, E and selenium.

Do not take vitamin C on the day you are having dental work, it apparently interferes with the numbing of the anaesthetic. So avoid vitamin C and possibly other antioxidants for about 48 hours before the dental work just in case. Take them immediately after the dental work or when you get back home.

If I was you? I would just tackle one thing at a time. You may want to get the amalgams dealt with first before tackling the wisdom tooth or possible cavitation from other extractions. Whatever you do, a reputable biologic dentist knowledgable about these things will be your best bet!

Here is a link explaining it all much better than me and in more depth.

I personally find some of this a bit on the extreme side, e.g. saying never get ceramics etc. I've known people who have had cerec porcelain (ceramic) and are doing fine. It's a very biocompatible material, as are many other ceramics too and they last a lifetime in some cases. Not everybody does great on plastic composites either. We're all different, so it might be wise to do a compatibility test, whether you opt for ceramics or composites.

bex are you really in NZ? Because I wish you were here in the UK as I would be popping round for a chat!

Thanks for your advice much appreciated. I have today just received a package from America. Andy cutlers amalgam book direct from Andy cutler (saved loads of money!!)

In my position now, after reading the all the posts on this great forum. And after living with amalgams for 17 years! I reckon I can hang on for a few months more yet until they are removed just to do some more thorough research as to which dentist to proceed with!

It's such a huge event health wise and financially! One that I can' afford to get wrong!

So patience is the name of the game, Research is the surname!

Hi Weety, Yep, I am in New Zealand! popping around for a chat would be quite a journey <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Nevermind, at least we can chat on here. You're very welcome for the advice. I just wish I could be of more help. Because personally the whole thing confuses me too. I just try and get as much information as I can and see what seems to work for most people. But sometimes that's not too easy either, given that everybody responds differently to different things.

Some people give no credence to the order removal of fillings, some give a lot of credence to it. How are we supposed to know which way to go? I suppose one tries to err on the side of caution, even if it might seem extreme, perhaps it's the wisest thing to go that extra mile for the sake of cutting down any risks as much as possible.

I think you are doing a very wise thing. Something I did NOT do. And that is to hold fire and do research. Yes it is financially pretty devastating (dental work and testing) and what a pity it is that they charge so much for it, when it's done for hope and sake of gaining health benefits because of what they did to us in the first place. How ironic. We pay for their mistakes basically.

I hope you do find a good dentist and hope you find someone who does the testing of amalgam readings and which ones ought to be removed first according to Huggins directions.. That would be at least ONE weight off your mind.

Good one on getting the Cutler book, one of my best buys. My book is falling to pieces, so that should give you some idea how often I was looking through it. I think he has one of the most logical best approaches to mercury and chelation. I think Huggins has one of the best approaches to safety procedures for amalgam removal, bicompatibility testing, diet recommendations etc. Both of these guys books are well worth having!

Best wishes on the research and keep us posted. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

hi bex

thanks for your input.

I was just thinking, how do you know when your normal again? Back to the point of having no mercury in your body? Have any of us ever experianced that? We are injected with mercury the second we are born!

When I get rid of my amalgams will I become a new person? My partner Jane has only ever been with a mercury toxic weety, will she still love a mercury free me??

Think about it?

Hi Weety,

Well, I don't know the answer to that because I've probably been toxic all or most of my life. Put it this way, you will know at some point that you are getting better when enough mercury is out of you to allow for healing to take place and to actually notice the changes.

Certain things can improve over time, sometimes without you realising it at the time. It's a good idea to keep a list of your symptoms and then see if they start disappearing over time or lessening, but bearing in mind, it's a long term process, so you will likely not feel you're getting much better until more significant changes take place.

There may come a time when you feel well or much better, even before you are properly detoxified. You can "feel" well again and things lift off you like depression, anxiety a feeling of your emotions being blocked or that sensation of indifference, inability to feel "joy" or excitement as such. At some point when detoxed enough, it's like windows start opening up, you can get quite surprised at how blocked and sick you really were when things start to improve. You feel happier, lighter, more sociable, it's like the lights turning back on and for some people can be almost too overwhelming and they have had to seek help for that. Amazing eh? Heck I LOVED it! I thought it was Xmas everyday almost. But even then I don't believe I was fully detoxed, but the differences for me felt so significant, that the contrast felt heavenly compared to how I had been feeling for so many years.

The more you improve, the more you become aware of how sick you were and it's an ongoing process. You will likely not know if you are completely detoxed and you do not need to be, because nobody will ever get every tiny scrap of mercury out of them. Like any toxin. But when your body's own burden is reduced enough for your body to improve, that's when you'll notice changes (if this is what's causing your symptoms).

Andy Cutler says that a person should continue chelating for about 6 months to a year or so after they "FEEL" well, to ensure more mercury is removed so that it won't cause future problems. Also there can come a time where chelation can actually keep you feeling better because it's grabbing the mercury that's still leaking out of you and filling you back up. It's when people stop a little too soon, than they can sometimes start feeling poisoned again because there was still stored mercury that needed to be chelated and instead as it was still slowly leaking back out, there were no chelation to grab hold of it, so it built back up.

So sometimes they get quite a surprise and have to chelate again until PERMANENT improvements result, to where they don't relapse anymore. However which way you get the mercury out, it's a slow process and not usually a smooth upward climb to health, but rather a bit of a roller coaster ride. Key is to reduce the side effects by using a chelating protocol that is effective and safe and reduces the risk of redistribution. I think Cutler's is probably the best I can think of for doing that. But everybody is different.

Your body wants to get this stuff out, but usually people have a tough time with it because many of us are not good are eliminating mercury from our systems, which is why we got sick in the first place. Not just mercury's direct impact, but the fact it accummulates and builds up in tissues/organs/brain. I wish amalgam removal was the cure, but it's the beginning of a long process of detox for many of us. Some get better quicker than others and that can depend on immunity, other health factors and chelation.

Your partner will not necessarily find a new person at the end of chelation. But she may find a much happier, healthier, improved Weety with some hidden traits and qualities that can become much more apparent <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />. The good stuff becomes enhanced! I've heard of people divorcing with toxicities like this and then re-marrying eachother again after detox! That's how horrific this stuff is. I've heard of people with candida having a similar problem. It is very sad that health problems like this have such a gross impact on someone's mind and personality, as well as overall health. Some people might worry that they'll somehow be a different person, but it's hard to explain. It's not quite like that. The core of you remains.

I hope that you will find such healing! Can you think back to anytime in your life that you felt more normal and healthy? It's hard to remember isnt it? But when you get more detoxed, you start remembering things again and you start feeling like YOU, the real YOU. So much of the time with this we live in a toxic depressed fog.

I know what you're saying, Weety. Part of me is scared of who I will be, not that it will be bad, but change is always scary for me...even if it's good. I have discussed this with my husband, about being terrified of what my "new personality" could be like. He is afraid that I will not want to be with him anymore. I had many signs of something being wrong with me for years before I met him, but I was still doing really well physically when I met him. I was on the go all the time...working, going to school and seeing him, and being a single mom raising 2 kids. I hardly ever had to sleep and was always doing something. That is the ME he fell in love with. Shortly after we met, we got engaged and within 4 months we were married. I started having terrible pains in my arms, hands and elbows, and concluded that I was getting carpal tunnel syndrome from my job. I went to the dr. and he said he didn't think that's what it was. The pain didn't go away though. Shortly thereafter I got pregnant, and a couple months into the pregnancy, I started really getting sick, psychotic acting and having MAJOR symptoms (that I didn't know at the time was Mercury). I have been sick ever since. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> He only knew me for a few months before I started taking ill, and I don't know what it would be like now, not to be sick. I don't remember what that felt like. I always feel like it's not been fair to him, to have married me and be stuck with this. He is very supportive, but he shouldn't have married someone like me. My illness has destroyed him...all the joy, and positive attitude he always had is gone. He used to bring me up when I was down, and tell me everything would be ok. Now he goes to work, and comes home, and doesn't really have any desire to do anything. I've just sucked the life out of him, and I see it. That is the hardest part for me.

This last week has been pretty good for me, though...the longest stretch of me feeling good, but now I'm starting to go downhill again.
So, believe me, I understand how you feel, wondering how you will change.

Sure I’m feeling dull and numb from mercury toxicity, but a little light inside me is keeping me focused! Focused on removing this government induced poison from my body and soul!

I really feel for everyone suffering from this stuff. Things are only gonna get worse for mercury toxic people with the constantly increasing amount of electromagnetic waves with are being bombarded with in the form of mobile phone masts and wi-fi. To have any chance of survival people will have to detox and stay ultra healthy. I am the only one in my family suffering sensitivity to the nearby mobile mast because I am the only one in the house with amalgam fillings.

I am the only one in my family with amalgam fillings because I used to be lazy and 'buried my head in the sand.' Years of going to the dentist getting filling after filling still carrying on with my lifestyle causing that was causing my teeth to rot.

My only hope and I know this sounds bad is that more people with amalgams become sensitive to mobile masts/phones, make the connection and start suing the mobile companies for GBH. If electro sensitivity is ever recognized in the UK due to mobile masts there will be lawsuit after lawsuit. There is no safe microwave exposure for a sensitive person. ŁŁŁŁŁŁ

My kids and missus are suffering all due to the knock on effect of my misspent youth! The punishment is me being hypersensitive to mobile phones & wi-fi caused by my 17 NHS placed amalgam fillings.

I have not slept upstairs in my bedroom with Jane since last May when the mobile mast was switched on (its 500 meters away). I have painted my youngest boy’s bedroom with HF protective carbon paint to shield it against the strongest microwaves coming from the new mast and my neighbor’s wi-fi/dect. Sometimes if I’m lucky and Thomas wakes up and goes to sleep with Jane I get to sleep in the only room I have been able to afford to get protected. Apart from that I sleep downstairs on the floor.

I take a natural form of melatonin every night (Aspahlia) and I sleep wearing a protective head net every night, which is not nice!

My garden is out of bounds to me because my heart starts pounding and my head goes west! You know the usual mercury reactions. In my house it’s just the tinnitus, all the time.

Today I have spent the whole day in the attic where I’m putting boards down so I can put aluminum backed bubble wrap on the rafters to reflect the electromagnetic waves so I can hopefully be able to sleep in my bed again without waking up and seeing the veins in my eyes.

Anyway Bex thanks, you are slowly becoming more and more important in my life due to this forum!

Mommy remember, just knowing that you are mercury toxic is one step to recovery (or newcovery!) I have still got a toxic waste dump in my mouth <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/alieneyes.gif" alt="" />
