Did you say in a different post that supplement sensitivity can be due to an ileocecal valve problem? I get funky reactions to almost ANY supplement I take - am wondering if this (and mercury) could be what's causing those reactions...

Well the same happened to me. I do believe it is more pathogen related. The worst reactions I got from B12 and selenium, but like you say it doesn't matter much what you take, vit C and E also gives out reactions.
This is also testable - take supplements that aim at detoxing waste products of bacterias, like ammonia. Among the most powerful are L-glutamine, L-ornithine and molybdenum. These supplements are powerful. In the beginning it is much more wise to focus on waste management, rather than stirring up more toxins that your body can't even handle well.

The result is that yu have become sensitive to multiple other items including supplements, a biproduct from the resulting candida. Based on the symptoms you described there is a high probability ileocecal valve dysfunction is the underlying cause of the symptoms you described. I'd recommend buying that book in the link which only costs a few bucks and start getting healthy. I suffered from exactl;y what you described and ingested enough vitamins and supplements to fill up a health store. When I was finally diagnosed with ileocecal valve dysfunction my life changed. We all want the magic pill or potion to make us well but it rarely works that way and in most cases the solution is a lot simpler than we realize.

perhaps L-glutamine was too powerful for me. It seems to put a burden on the liver to detox the ammonia from brains. Great, you'll get the ammonia out, but your liver won't like it. So, I can't recommend it.

I take l-glutamine every day and if it wasn't for that I could not function. It helps with my muscles and I believe it also helps with my brain being able to function properly as well as helping my stomach problems. Without it I would be lost.

pfff. Whatever I did, L-glutamine seems to have caused me an unwanted liver flush, and thus the liver related problems. The bile duct got indeed blocked and the stool color changed because of that, and there was some stones embedded in the stool, which I didnt at first recognize as gall stones. I'm pretty sure it was L-glutamine that caused it, because I've never had spontaneous liver flushes, and L-glutamine was the only thing I took this day. Has this happened to anyone else?
LOL, I never stop getting surprised at this stuff, nearly anything seems to be possible.

I have had spontaneous liver flushes. I have never taken L-glutamine. I had mine after my 8th liver flush last year, happened about 3 times about 1 week, then another week, then another week later, after the liver flush. Was no pain, but it did feel strange. Usually I had 6-10 hours feeling as rough as old boots, and I mean really bad, following the auto-flush I felt fantastic for 2-3 days.

Hi James
I finished that book about “ileocecal valve”.
Was a strange book. Not sure I benefited too much, but was interesting in a strange short kinda way.
I did the massage….but didn’t have any effect…prolly because my digestion pretty good now.
I think this would be more beneficial to a newbee, someone that has not cleaned up their diet or life style yet…..might just gee someone on to changing some of the simpliest and most effective things to get better. Its not too overwhelming as its so short.
Anyway….thanks for the recommendation…I like recommendations.
May the force be with you<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />
