I have been reading scientific studies about removing mercury and apparently dont waste your money on these products. save your money for DMSA since this actualy does remove mercury
from organs.

ALso be careful of taking herbal remedies and stuff...did you know they are not approved by the FDA and can be very dangerous...they only ban them when people suffer bad permanent side effects.

its like my sister took ephedra to lose weight but its now banned because people have developed permanent problems from it.

And st johns wort will soon be banned..im scared because i used to take it alot. apparently i read a study where someone died taking it bcause of tyramine levels affected what he ate.

And l-tryptophan was banned only because it was contaminated.

ANother product they will ban is Phenibut for anxiety. they hanned GBL which i used to take since they class it as a drug now LOL...it really worked though...

and apparently they are banning high dose vitamin supplements since taking too much over the %100 RDA affects your liver and is very dangerous...hmm what else will they ban...soon their wont be anything for use to help us feel better.

I have never seen any studies that showed that St. John's Wort could be dangerous when taken in reasonable quantities. Any substance, even distilled water or salt can be very dangerous when excessive amounts are consumed. A healthy young woman died during a water drinking contest.

At first, when I read this post I thought you had been hijacked again...because you said"be carefull taking herbal remedies..."!
The fact that the FDA have not approved something is of small significance to me.If it was up to the FDA, we would not
be able to take any vitamin/mineral supplements at all.
As for herbal remedies that are found to be effective for treatment for example St.Johns Wort ,they are often discredited & banned because the wide spread use of such herbs is not profitable for pharmaceutical companies.
I have heard alot of bad press about that particular herb,
St Johns Wort.I have actually heard many, many stories of people who have taken their own lives while taking prescribed anti-depressants.But it still dosn't make front page news and it should. It is like an epidemic.

The natural stuff is powerful and should be treated with respect and doses and circumstances are so different for each individual so it really is a matter of finding what works for you. With the help of a few professionals.
That's one of the differences between mainstream medicine and "alternative"medicine, one pill fits all with mainstream and how could that be right when we are all so different ,having seperate, unique experiences?

About herbal supplements, please keep in mind that if used correctly, most herbal supplements are just fine. They've been around for hundreds of years.

Big Pharma is spending TONS of money to either get herbal supplement usage outlawed in the USA (Codex), or to scare people so badly about herbal supplements that they don't want to use them anymore.

Big Pharma also hires scientists to write biased reports against herbs/supplements that are hurting their profit margins.

Also, the FDA is bought off more often than not by Big Pharma. Unfortunately, the FDA does not work for the citizens any more - they are owned by the corporations that pay the FDA to approve their drugs.

To find the truth, you must follow the money...

The big, greedy pharmaceutical companies make their money by scamming us to take more and more of their crappy, overexpensive drugs, a lot of which cause more problems than they cure. If we decide to take herbs instead, Big Pharma makes less money (poor buttheads!)

The bad stuff you're hearing about herbs could just be Big Pharma scare tactics...

oh please.

The amalgams in your mouth aren't approved by the FDA either. They haven't banned them because it's so profitable for dentists and even doctors downline. Unless you know of another reason.. let me know. Raw herbs are not profitable for doctors, especially when you can grow your own.

The FDA should be at the top of the quackwatch list considering all their shenagans.

My tax money at work, it makes me sick, literally.

James, alpha lipoic acid is a known mercury chelator. In fact, it is more powerful than DMSA and is the one that chelates organs and brain. So powerful it is, that people have to first lower their body levels with DMSA (or DMPS) (or otherwise) first before adding ALA.

ALA has gotten plenty of people well from mercury. I do not know where you are getting these studies, but they have absolutely nothing to do with what reality has shown and what people with mercury experience.

Some get well on ALA alone, even without DMSA. Andy Cutler even says that DMSA is optional, ALA is essential. yes it does chelate mercury and i've seen this over and over and over again.

The contradictory "studies" and "reports" out there are vast. I take more notice of my own experience and those of my mercury toxic peers! And more notice of the doctor/therapists who actually know what they're talking about and the results speak for themselves.

People tend to comment a lot, all over the web, about vitamins and supplements that aren't approved by the FDA. From what I understand, if they were approved, they would no longer be a SUPPLEMENT, but be a DRUG. They would then fall under the guidelines and rules that pharamceutical drugs fall under (requiring a license of some sort, I think), which can cost in the millions...this in turn can possibly put some of these supplement companies out of business. It DOES make more sense to me that way, as I always wondered why that statement was on the bottles.
