Hello. My name is Gloria and I found this forum by chance today. I have been reading some of the posts and I found them pretty interesting. It offers a great opportunity to learn.
I need help in an area that I know very little about. I hope someone in here can help me. I met with a lady today and her story is very sad. She has serious liver problems and no medical insurance. She managed to save $1,000.00 to get some tests done. She is starting tomorrow and she is hoping to at least find out what is going wrong with her.
She told me that in her younger years she had breast implants and these leaked. Her church helped with the medical bill to have them removed as her doctor told her that if she didn't, she would die. She went through the removal only to find out that the plastic bags were all that was left. All the silicon went into her body. She started to have health problems like fatigue, anxiety but nothing like what she is going through right now. Her stomach is pretty large. A doctor she saw a few months ago told her she had an enlarge liver. Well, the left side of her abdomen is very hard and she is afraid to eat because everything she eats makes her feel nauseous and she feels very sick.
She wants to detox the liver but was told by a Chiropractor that if she even tries, she'll die. In other words, he explained that if the silicon is in the liver, if she takes any kind of detoxication and it is moved, her body won't be able to stand the pollution of toxins that will be moved.
She knows I take NSP products and that these products have helped me and my entire family so, she asked if I could help. She was so sad and hopeful at the same time, I didn't dare to tell her that I don't know how to help her.
If anybody in here knows anything that can help, I'd really appreciate your guidance. I don't even know if there is anything that can help her.
I thank you in advance.
Gloria
She is very swollen around her eyes and the area below the eye is totally white like if she had painted it with chalk.

HI Gloria, I am horrified to hear of this!!! I feel so sorry for this lady you speak of and I cannot believe she is just being LEFT to remain in this state. What gets me is this. The liver itself is one of the MAIN detox organs...so if the liver is overwhelmed by by toxicity and nobody is doing anything about it, how on earth is this helpful to her? Her liver is screaming out for support and aid to eliminate the very thing poisoning it. I can understand harsh detoxes being warned about, but certainly leaving her in this state doesn't seem wise either.... We are not professionals on here and I would hesitate to know what on earth to advise or recommend. Having not heard of this before... I can only say what I would do if it were me. Certainly I would get to a doctor or other trained professional, but one that is also into alternative health as well. I don't know if a "chiropractor" is someone that I would go to about this.....That just doesn't sound right to me. I can understand the caution of resisting harsh/aggressive cleanses/detoxes in her state due to possibly erupting a load of toxins at onetime. BUT, I would at the very least get myself onto a healing diet!!!! And support the liver's own ability to detox itself over time (in the liver's own time), rather than force it to do so with flushes etc. I would also start very slow on everything. The diet I would advise in her situation (please I am no doctor, this is just recommendation from what I have read and experienced) would be a very natural diet. I would exclude ALL potential dietry burdens - sugar, white flour, gluten etc. She should at this time probably treat her body like fine china! Everything she puts into herself should be healthy. NO toxic or burdensome substances or food AT ALL. This at the very least will enable her body to SLOWLY but surely deal with the other issue in its own time. I would consume fruit, vegetables (raw/steamed/stir fried), raw nuts, raw seeds (sunflower/pumpkin), eggs, meats, acidophilus yoghurt (sugar free/plain) and if she can handle grains, I would probably stick with no gluten if possible. Porridge is healthy, but it can be contaminated with some gluten, so that is up to her. But usually limited non gluten grain is ok like brown rice, millet, corn etc. Again NO SUGAR. Absolutely no fizzy drink, or any junkfood, cookies, cakes, crackers, nothing! However, if she has high yeast levels (which often happens in toxic situations), she would be advised to go easy on the fruit and grain. They are high in carbs and though natural, candida can still sometimes feed off them. Either limit them or eliminate if necessary. But fruit is still very cleansing and so are vegetables. Salads are wonderful. Plenty of alfalfa, celery etc. I often have a salad with alfalfa, celery, tomatoe, lettuce, cucumber etc. If I can be bothered, I have grated cabbage and carrots and beetroot(raw)(with grated apple if I can handle some fruit) mixed as a kind of coleslaw. These are VERY cleansing and good for the liver. Lots of cruciferous vegetables like broccoli etc (brussel sprouts) and things. These are very liver friendly! I would have warm water drinks - with some lemon juice and celtic sea salt (for minerals). Proper celtic sea salt is very healing. Half or quarter of a lemon (maybe she should start with less at first in case she gets too harsh cleansing reaction), with about 1/4 teaspoon of celtic sea salt (electrolite drink). Very healing and healthy. IF she is not suffering from a lot of candida? She maybe able to put in some healing honey too (like a teaspoon). Manuka honey is apparently very soothing and healing. I would also have herbal teas, particularly those that aid the liver. I don't mean harsh cleanses, just supportive to cleansing without forcing it. E.g. Dandelion teas and/or even dandelion coffees etc. She should avoid coffee (ordinary coffee). She maybe ok with black tea, that is up to her, but I'd stick with herbal tea. i would avoid milk personally as it is very mucous forming and is not usually helpful to detoxing. However she might be ok with limited amounts if she wants some in her cereal. healing fats such as butter, extra virgin olive oil (particularly in salad), and fish oil (mercury free) can be great also. But tell her to go easy at first until she is able to handle these things. They are very healing and protective. She ought to stay away from the toxic plant oils like canola oil and other ones like soy. They are very bad and I advise checking out this site http://www.westonaprice.org/splash_2.htmAs for supplements? At this stage I would be very careful. I would start on the diet and concentrate on this first as it is the foundation to everything else. She can supplement later as she feels she can handle anything else. This in itself may already encourage some elimination, but the body will at least be able to heal and do a certain amount if it's given the proper tools and nutrition. It takes time and she may well go through some detoxing at first, but at least it's not forceful cleansing, but rather ALLOWS for any to take place as the body has a chance to do what it does best!!!! When the body gets what it needs and you eliminate the other, over time it can heal. She maybe able to add more later on. But again, I am not a professional and I'd be too frightened to really advise much else.....she should probably locate someone like a trained alternative health therapist to aid her in this. It does not sound like she is getting any help at all from the chiropractor. I am sure people are frightened to advise in case it backfires and someone is liable. But the poor thing is being left in a toxic dire strait. Something has gotta be done. Her liver is probably SCREAMING for help!!! the largest organ of detox is the skin. That can also take some load of the liver, if she can handle the heat! Sometimes having hot baths with the addition of epsom salts or sea salt and baking soda (cup each or so) can be very helpful in eliminating toxins via the pores. But only if she can cope with that kind of heat, otherwise she can take it easier and have the bath luke warm, but still have the stuff in it. Again, I"m sorry I could not be of more help, but truly I would begin with this and go from there. Supplements that are helpful to the liver can later be added if she wishes to go further or homeopathic support, but she would be wise to go to a naturopath or someone like this for that in her condition. Here is a testimony I thought might be helpful to her: http://www.zeoliteshealth.com/testimonials_9.htmlThanks for sharing this with us. I wish your friend all the best and she is very lucky to have someone like you seeking help on her behalf!!! But the first thing she should do is eliminate ALL toxic potentials (diet included) and make healthful additions. At least that takes some weight off her poor liver and other organs and improve their function.

That's good advice ,Bex. Gloria, You mentioned at the end of your post your friend has white under her eyes.I have seen this before on two people both of them were vegans, people who eat no animals products or derivatives.I am not a doctor of any kind, but I remember looking this up, and found that it was sign of a vitamin B deficiency ,particularly Vitamin B12. I hope this is helpful in some way.

Thanks Sunflower,
Yes, avoiding animals products can actually be deterimental, rather than beneficial. Especially when poisoned by something. Animals fats and proteins are very healing and it shows what they do when you read Dr Weston Price's studies and findings about the healthiest human specimens around the world... some actually lived on only animal meat/fish and fat. HOwever, this is not really advisable, because the body requires more variety and I believe plant foods too and does better on a more varied diet, rather than just "meat and fat". However it does show that they can still sustain a human being just fine on their own.
Perhaps too the people eating them are much more accustomed to it, but Hal Huggins recommends eating them in his mercury toxic book "It's all in your head". He said so far he has not been able to heal a vegetarian.
The necessary proteins, B vitamin, Iron and B12 cannot be obtained elsewhere nearly as much as they are in animal foods and I think this is why Hal had problems with vegetarians. This is catching on because other dentsits working in mercury poisoning are now aware of this and explain how their patients usually do not improve or recover properly if they do not follow a particular diet with healthy animal fast and proteins...
So there must be something to it. I've had it myself personally. Excluding meat was not the best move I made, nor was lowering my animal fat intake. Admittedly raw vegetables were wonderful and avoiding sugar and wheat/gluten and yeast were too, but including animals meats and fats was the extra aid I needed. I found also I healed better!

Hello - my name is Betty and for anyone who is falling victim to the Hoax of Detox Foot Baths I hope I can help to save you time & MONEY! I was first introduced to t his "Detox" idea a few months ago, but being a skeptic I decided to research on my own before throwing down the dollars. This is what I found and I hope you will spread the word so you can save others from tossing aways hard earned dollars. IT'S A HOAX AND YOU CAN PROVE IT! The positive/negative ion rods inserted into the water begin to discolor the water almost immediately when the salt is added. It's a scientific natural occurrence. Do not even place your feet into the water and you can see for yourself that the water will begin to turn colors and after 20 - 30 minutes you will have a nasty brown/black mucousy looking foot bath. Now if you want to, go ahead and pay, let them tell you the nasty that you see has come from your body, then take a sample of the water to a lab and have it tested! It will show ZERO results of any bodily fluids, toxins, mucous, etc. This has been proven to be nothing but a SCAM taking advantage of people who want to trust that their service is real. IT'S NOT! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND SAVE YOUR INTEGRITY. I can see future lawsuits from clients who are finally figuring this out. I know if I had fallen victim to this SCAM I would want my money back.

HI Betty, <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Sorry to hear about this! But I have definitely heard it before many times with differing products. I've been a victim to other things also (with high price tags). <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/reallymad.gif" alt="" /> Your comments here are very interesting and maybe echoed by others. Would you like to add them to this thread --> http://herballure.com/ubbthreads/sh...&sb=5&o=&fpart=1That thread by the way is on the amalgam/mercury forum and there are plenty of people there trying to find ways of eliminating their metals. Ionic foot baths were one such product that was brought up on that forum. Some swear by it, others believe it is a complete hoax. I myself am not sure because I havene't tried it, but I do not feel at all compelled to ever try it after the things I have heard. I'm also pretty digusted at the price. Welcome to the forum by the way!

Hi Bex.
Sorry it took so long to come back and read your post. Life can get pretty busy.
I think that you have some very good ideas and suggestions.
Since I posted my question I found out that oxygen therapy can get and has gotten rid of silicon in the body. It is expensive but at least there is hope.
As far as supplements, I suggested Alo Vera juice because it is safe and it takes care of the liver. She is very careful of her diet because other wise she will be in pain. She is also having several medical test done and I think that will help a lot.
Thank you so much for taking the time giving me your thoughts. I have written them down to study them further.
Your great.

Impressive. I would have never put the two together. This one is definetely easy to solve. I'll tell her to get the liquid B complex plus B12.
Thank you for taking the time.
I am glad you did the research, keep up the good work.

Hey, I am so glad to hear something positive about meat. My blood is type O and I always crave meat. I don't eat it all the time but I sure like it.
Your information made my day. Thanks.

I have read extensively on this matter and witness some pretty awesome results in people who were quite ill. I have read about positive result that H.H. as well as doctors who have used this ionic foothbath have had with their patients. They cannot explain scientifically why they come back time after time looking forward to having the footbath.
But lets say that it was all a hoax like you mentioned. If such a hoax helps people to change their lives habits and take the time to listen to their bodies, to take supplements that are helping them, and overall live a better life, I am really happy for them.
I remember an evening that I was feeling at the end of my rope. I was so exhausted I didn't know if I could make it back home. I was facing a 2 and 1/2 hour drive in the rain. I went into a healthfood store to get seasalt and I was introduced to the Ionic foothbath. Of course I received a sale talk and like you I was skeptic but I love to try new things and so, I said to myself, "What the heck, why not?"
I left the place rested, full of energy and ready to face the trip home. I didn't get sleepy behind the will. In fact, I couldn't believe how alert I was.
They did give me the paper work to read about what was going on. I was informed the colors were not important and to just focus on how I felt. I read the papers and these were very explicit explaining what the device is believe to do and it also said, nothing has been proven scientifically.
When I left that place, I couldn't care less if it had been proven scientifically or not. I was thankful my tiredness had gone away and very happy to get home safe.
It doesn't hurt to try things once and then decide how this or that worked for me personally. To this day, those were the best $35.00 dollars I spent that month.
Whatever happened worked for me.

Hi Gloria, no worries at all about any delay in response! I quite understand.
you're very welcome! I hope that something I passed on maybe of some help. Can you print any of this out?
Like you, I love meat too <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> and far from being bad, I believe it has enabled some healing. Plus the animal fats too like butter. Dr Weston Price really knows what he's talking about. And exposing all the cholesterol myths also and how necessary it actually is! We think of just fruit and veges as healing, but my body required the proteins and fats too (which I gather is for cells/membranes). Plus fish oils too for omega 3 etc. I also think cod liver or halibut oil is great for vitamin A and D. I needed good cholesterol for healing. I eat a lot of eggs too.
About the foot baths. I cannot really comment, because I've never used them. However, if they worked for you? Then there is obviously something to them. Again, proof of the pudding is in the eating. I've had this myself with a few things and if it works, that's all I need. I find people on these forums, just the normal people suffering and trying to get well are the best to find out if something is real or not. Though I know everybody's response can be different.
Yeah I think aloe Vera juice is a really good recommendation. Very healing! I guess the more natural she can keep things, the better. By the way, I had testing done quite recently for liver, kidneys etc.
Because of the diet I am on, the doctor's response to my testing of my liver was "your liver results are fantastic" (I kid you not). All the animal meats and animal fats and vegetables and things must be doing something right! That included my kidney too and iron and B12 levels. I eat vegs raw or stir fried. Makes sure I get the most out of them.
Anyway, so glad to be of any help at all! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Cheers!

Hi Bex.
I don't know if I can print the responses but I wrote what ever I needed from your post and the other nice members that gave me their advice.
I called my friend and she told me she is feeling good just with the Alo Vera juice. That made me happy. Like you said in your post, better to do something than nothing at all. Because Doctors have scared her so much, about dying if she does this or that, I think she is better off taking it very slow.
It sounds like you have a terrific diet and you are dedicated to following through. Congratulations on such wonderful tests results. This means your hard work is paying off.
I was going to ask you something but I can't remember what it was. I am so tired my brain has probably gone to sleep. I'll come back to the forum on Wends and hopefully I will remember the question I had.
Have a great weekend.

Hi Bex
I remember what I was going to ask you.
You were very excited about your liver results. Does this mean you had liver problems before?
I have a sister in her early fifties who I keep on telling to go to the doctor and have her liver checked. The white part of her eyes is yellow and her eyes get red very often. Her stomach is enlarged and she always has pain on her right side. If you touch the right side it feels like a stone. One minute she is very, very nice and the next she turns into a witch. Her breath doesn't smell like roses and she is super tired all the time. Someone told me all of those are signs of either a fatty liver or a toxic one.
My sister takes pretty good care of herself. She eats right, takes walks and takes suplements yet, she can't sleep, has gained a lot of weight and gets depress pretty often. She is under a lot of stress and I believe this stress causes lots of toxic matter inside her body.
I'd like to know your thoughts in this matter and anybody else's that knows of something I can help sister with. She is diabetic.
A Million Thanks

Hi Gloria, Well, I don't think I had liver problems before, but I think the good eating has obviously had resuls in that area for the doctor/nurse to even comment. Usually if it's "so so", they don't make much comment. But both times when eating properly, I've had good feedback. Unfortunately for me, I suffer chronic illness these days because of internal infections. I used to be very mercury toxic and was healing from that, but got hit with virus and I believe other infections (possibly cavitations in the jaw). So I am ill everyday. The most I can gain is if I stick to the right diet, sometimes it can control the symptoms a bit more and allow some better functioning. But one wrong move and I'm down for the count. It is devastating. But certainly my good eating has shown good results on blood testing. However, the ongoing issues inside of me are much greater than what diet can address unfortunately. One doctor feels there is gangrene in the jaw. But xrays do not show up much, if anything and dentists/oral surgeons are reluctant to do any work. Most here do not do cavitation surgery anyway. This gangrene in the jaw is caused by tooth extraction. Most times dentists/oral surgeons remove the tooth, but they do not remove the ligament with it. The periodontal ligament is what was holding onto the tooth (a bit like an ambilical cord). Once the tooth has gone, there ligament has no further use and will die. Because of this? It hinders healthy bone growth in that area. So a hole is left in the jaw. Inside this hole, potent bacteria can gather. Now this can happen in many people and only some may show symptoms or even systemtic chronic illness can result. It depends on whether the body is keeping the infection localised and not allowing it to go further, or whether the body's defenses are down and infection then spreads and becomes systemic. If that is the case? the illness that results from this is worse than mercury poisoning. It can almost totally cripple a person. One guy ended up in a wheelchair. I am sitting down most of hte time because walking around is very tiring for me and I have chronic problems in the gut (which the doc thinks is related to the gangrene). Again I have no clear answers, just possibilities. Certainly no matter how much effort I make, usually I will fall back again because the underlying issue is obviously serious and permanent. This along with the virus I have is not allowing my immunity to assert itself. Therefore yeast is a constant battle and usually it wins because the other stuff happening inside of me is not allowing me to win against the yeast, or win for very long. Anyway, sorry for diverting! Back to what you were saying. Your poor sister! She sounds horribly sick. I wonder what diet she is on? Sometimes what is thought of as healthy, may not be as healthy as we think. I find that candida is involved in so many disorders that it's own toxins poison the liver! So if she has a problem already, any yeast overgrowth will be compounding the issue. Yeast alcohols are dreadful. The way to fight yeast is not so much outright KILLING it, because there are plenty of products that will do this. But it's not actually adressing the issue. It's a temporary measure. The way is to starve it, so that it cannot feed properly and build the immune system by nutrients/good foods and fats. She would do well to avoid all sugar in every form (even honey and limit or eliminate fruit intake). Avoid gluten grains (wheat, oats, rye, barley etc). She made need to avoid all grains, because grains are high in carbohydrates and yeast can feed off them too. That goes for potatoes, beans, corn, peas etc. Any food high in carbs should be avoided/limited. And concentrate on other lower carb vegetables (raw if possible in salads). Pretty much what I'm eating like meats and eggs, organ meats (liver). Healthy fats that Dr weston price recommends like butter, lard, (even eating the fat with the meat) and fish oil (mercury free). These fats help heal. Raw nuts if she is ok with them and acidophilus plain sugar free yoghurt. Herbal teas. Squeezing lemon and having lemon with warm water. Replacing table salt with celtic sea salt. If she does this, and keeps it up, she should get a reaction if she has a yeast problem going on. because if some of this is candida related? It will begin to get sick and die off. She may feel worse for a few weeks. But it's worth seeing it through because improvement is so often noted at the end of it. But apart from that? I do not know enough about what she has to comment much further. Someone with much more knowledge than me would be more helpful. One lady on a candida forum may help. Here is her website and down below on that page is also a link to her forum group, should you wish to ask a question on there to her directly. http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/I would really encourage you to read the articles on that link. And check out diseases and disorders. She has one about diabetes too - http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/menu4_3_4.phpHer diet is excellent, but I modify it for me because I find it a bit too extreme. She doesn't even allow raw nuts or yoghurt intially. But some people start on a modified version for awhile to help them adjust. The reactions from it can be enough to tolerate at the start. I wish I could be more of help. But no matter what condition the person suffers from? This diet is actually to build the immunity and help the body heal, so it can overcome or at least control some of the problems going on.

Wow, Bex, you surprised me. You really have it hard. Tell me, have you tried essential oils? The real thing not the cheap kind. Nothing lives in those oils especially viruses.
I had a tooth extraction once and it was a horrible experience. It got infected and the infection got worse eventhough I was taking mega dosages of antibiotics. I went to a health seminar and met a nurse, an RN, she told me about essential oils and told me I had nothing to lose and verything to gain if I gave them a try. I got Lavender to calm and sooth, Tee Tree, clove and oregano to fight the infection. I rinsed with Tee Tree oil several times a day, rubbed lavender on the skin of the affected area, I put compresses of goat milk with clove oil on the affected area. I got the oregano in capsules and took 2 every 4 hours. It took about 3 weeks to eradicate the infection but when it finally went away, my energy came back, I had a clear mind, it felt like fog had lifted. Thyme, lemongrass, rosemay and tea tree erradicate Candida. Just make sure they are high grade oils though.
You like to read and research, have you read about Dr. Rene Gattefosse? A French Dr. who suffered gas gangrene as result of burns from a chemical laboratory. He engineered his recovery using Lavender oil, nothing else. Gas Gangrene, the type he had, occurs when tissues in the body are infected with Clostridium bacteria and it can be fatal if not treated. It also has a terrible putrid smell. The person feels extremely cold all the time, the affected part is dark in color, looks rotten, decompsed and it has a putrid smell. it can cause Fever and anemia. He cured himself so you may find his work interesting.
I better go to sleep. I work early tomorrow morning.

The best thing I've found for post-extraction worries is dabbing (best is diluted 35% food grade) H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide) on the extraction site with a q-tip. Kills germs and anerobic bacteria on contact.
But.. there are a few essential essential oils I keep on the shelf at all times.. they are rosemary, lavender, tea tree and clove oil. I mix them with cocoa butter and something else nice to make a soft paste and put it on my skin, it gets absorbed that way and makes you smell pretty too. tea tree is also great in the laundry. Just a few drops is all you need to make some great smelling bed linens. Men like the smell of lavender and cinnamon too so those are fun laundry options also <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dance.gif" alt="" />

Hi Gloria,
No I have not tried essential oils.....I am interested in the lavender oil you told me about re the guy with gas gangrene!! Is this interally taken?
There is no point in me putting anything on the site itself, nothing is there. Cativations in the jaw are often hidden and deep down. Some people can get help if the infection if obvious from external applications. But not normally if it's hidden and unnoticed. It's just a hole in the jaw after tooth extraction, because healthy bone failed to grow over properly and bacteria sets in. This can be known as wet gangrene. It would be wonderful if it showed up as being painful, or swelling etc, because something you can see? Is something that gets seen to.
Hidden cavitations are the worst, often showing no sign at all of a problem (externally) but causing inner havoc.
This is the problem with myself and why cat's claw is one that I am going to try. I am hard up right now with cash because I'm paying off dental work, and have just done parasite cleanses.
But I think I am going to give cat's claw a go, though some tell me to be careful of it...well I heard one dentist gives this to his cavitation patients before he does surgery on the cavitations.
But if you could let me know more about the lavendar and how he used it? that would be cool. Really appreciate that.
I think cat's claw is going to be the one I'll try next. I've spoken of it often enough but haven't tried it as yet. Still dealing with the aftermarth of dental work from last year and haven't recovered yet (not amalgam related).
Cheers

Hello Bex.
Lavender oil is regarded as GRAS (Generally Regarded As Safe).
It is considered a Dietary Supplement and a Food Aditive.
Bex, as you know, all of these remedies fall under the law of self medication. You take the decision and the responsibility to use them or not.
Within the English method of teaching, Essential Oils can be inhailed and applied topically.
Within the French method of teaching, Essential Oils can be Inhailed, applied topically and or taken internally.
Nature Sunshine follows the English method. Young Living follows the French method. Both have literature on the matter. Please read and inform yourself before using them on your person.
It is a matter of doing your homework to see what will work for you. Believing in the remedies plays a big part in the healing process.
Dr. Rene Gattefosse was a French Chemist. He burned his hand badly in the laboratory and quickly discovered the healing power of Lavender essential oil. You can read about him in the internet and he also has an Aromatherapy book where he explains how to use the oils.
I can share with you what my sister (the diabetic one) and I did when one of her root canals got infected. She was extremely tired day in and day out after she got that root canal. She had insomnia, couldn't sleep at all. She had constant nausea and headaches to name a few of her symptoms. We didn't put the two and two together, we thought it was her sugar levels causing all kinds of trouble. She had no pain so the root canal was ruled out. Things got so bad she began to have trouble breathing. This particular night I went to her house and I had Lavender and clove oils with me. We decided to try them. I heated water, added some Epsom salt added 50 drops of Lavender oil and about 10 drops of clove oil. I let the water cool off, to where she could stand it, and began to put compresses on the side of her face where she had had the root canal. I put compresses for 30 minutes by then, she had fallen asleep. The next morning she called me and told me something was woosing from her gum and it smelled putrid. I went to see her and yes, something was coming out of her gum and it smelled horrible. Since there was something visual and the dentist could also smell it, he finally believed her that something was very wrong. She was sent to a surgeon. We weren't explained anything. The surgeon simply did his thing and came to show me he had found a tiny piece of something that looked like cotton after he removed her crown. Well that's what he said anyway. Whatever it was, my sister was well within days after the surgery. She continued with the compresses and also rubbed the lavender oil neat on her gum. All of us learned to keep our toothbrushes in water with tee three oil. So far so good, the infection has never come back.
I think that if you can prevent bacteria and viruses from getting any further than the mouth, it doesn't matter where the cavitation might be because if there is no bacteria it won't be able to get to it.
Also, eventhough X-rays can't detect cavitations in most cases as you explained. I believe there is a tool called Cavitat which has a very high degree of accuracy locating them. It has been available since 1998 and as far as I know most Holistic dentist have it. I know they charge and arm and a leg but it is probably worth it.
I do hope if you try essential oils; it would help your problem. Do imform yourself so that you do it with peace of mind and confidence.

If you want to read about Cat's Claw here is a great website. www.rain-tru.com/catclaw.htmIt gives you great information on anything you want to know about it. I grew up with all of these herbal remedies and Cat's Claw is a wonderful remedy. It is also very inexpensive.

Hi SoSick.
Thanks for the tips, I wrote them down.
You chose an intriguing name, is there a special reason?

Hi Gloria, thanks again for your advice.
Problem with cavitations is, you cannot stop bacteria getting in there. They are deep in the jawbone! So on the surface, everything looks just fine. Bacteria is there, it happens to anybody apparently where the bone has failed to grow over.
People with already compromised immune systems, cannot keep this bacteria localised and it becomes systemic, due to lack of defense holding it in place. I cannot put things, or compresses on there, because again it is not visible. I do not even have pain or signs of infection.
But my body being already compromised is likely being affected by the cavitations, whereas before it may not have. So I may have to get surgery if I can find a surgeon to do it at some point.
It's fantastic that stuff worked on your sister root canal like that. I've heard people use stuff like that before and getting help. If my infection was more surface? Then I'd be able to paint stuff on it too. There are some who feel that things can be injected into cavitations, but this is pretty iffy. Some feel surgery is honestly the only option. You really can do little about wet gangrene in the jaw with surface efforts. It's unfortunate, but usually it requires a proper surgical clean out.
Yes, I have had a cavitat scan, but this too apparently can over-diagnose sometimes too. So to pinpoint which cavitation is responsible? Is very hard. My doctor pinpointed it with his EAV machine, yet the cavitat scan only shows cavitations in the upper jaws (yet these were done many years ago and never caused issues). My left lower wisdom tooth, when removed, caused coincidentally almost immediate decline in health...yet cavitat seems to show no problem. The doctor with the EAV has tested me more than once and continues to point to this area and tell me "it is still there, wet gangrene". He was taken aback when I showed him the cavitat scan, but said the eav showed no problems with the upper cavitation sites, but only the lower left jaw....so it's very very confusing. One other dentist viewed my panoramic xray online and said there are cavitations in every site. That they ALL need cleaning out. So you can see my difficulty here. Also we don't have dentists here or even oral surgeons who do this work. Very few do and they are usually too far away. I am pinning my hopes on one oral surgeon near my area who my doctor here believes does them. right now I cannot do a thing, I am too sick (which means I will be risking my health further and possibly won't heal properly from any surgery anyway), plus I am paying off expensive dental work. So I'm up the creek right now.
For now, I am only trying to find something I can take that might my body fight the bacteria. And cat's claw seemed a pretty good idea. I guess it is worth a try. Thanks for the link too! The fact that a dentist uses it on his cavitation patients seems it might be a good one to use....

Go for it Bex. Cat's Claw is a great herb. It saved my girlfriend's life.
My girlfriend has Escleroderma and 12 years ago doctors told her she was going to die. At one point we thought she was going to die too. She found a Holistic Healer that urged her to stop the medication she was taking and instructed her to take Cat's Claw. When she talked with her doctor about it, he said, "You either follow my treatment or that hocus pocus." She left his office with her mind made up. She stopped taking the medications. A friend of her family from the high sierra in her country, Venezuela, brought her the real bark. She changed her nutrition habits and drinks the tea from that bark. Makes it and drinks it in her daily water. She is still alive, working and as pain free as the weather allows it. She suffers some pain during the winter months and feels so much better during the summer months. Funny how her insurance paid thousands of dollars and she has managed to live with something that is so totally inexpensive.
I do hope it works for you, because to me, your problem sounds as mysterious as hers.
Remember that if your immune system is weak, watch out for allergies.

Thanks Gloria, I think I will give it a go! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Wow, interesting about your friend! That is wonderful she got improvements from it. So many of these illnesses are strange and distressing. Yes, what I have is too. Hasn't yet been diagnosed and I doubt it ever will be. I do feel it's internal infections, I cannot explain it, but I sense that strongly.
So here's hoping on the cat's claw that I'll get a good response like your friend! or at the very least, just some control over some symptoms would be great. Enough to get me a bit more back on my feet. I don't think my immune system can handle so much going on at once and is under continual strain, so is in fighting mode all the time which leaves me too tired to do anything. Even having to use my voice verbally can upset me. I burst into tears the other day when my father was asking me something and I was too tired to give an answer. lol, geesh!! He just looked at me like "what the???". If I bump myself even lightly I can erupt in tears. It's just sheer unadulterated exhaustion, rather than drama queen acts. Too tired to live almost.
Your friend's doctor sounds pretty typical. Many of them HATE alternative medicine! Almost like HOW DARE YOU SEEK NATURAL METHODS TO TRY AND HEAL....THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE, YOU MUST MEDICATE MEDICATE MEDICATE.
When half the time their medications cause worse problems that the original sickness. The best are the doctors who take onboard both! Open minded enough to seek natural methods to help their patients, rather than seeking drug remedies.
Anyway, yeah I'll watch out for allergies. I don't notice that as a problem funnily enough, but I notice big issues with diet and slipping up in regards to feeding the candida. That's a really big issue.
take care!

It makes me sad that you are so sick Bex. I really hope that Cat's Claw will work for you. My girlfriend has her good and bad days but she is alive. I always tell her not to complain, after all, she found the fountain of youth. When you have Escleroderma you get a permanent face and body lift. She looks forever young. We have some good laughs. Life only gives back what we input so might as well send positive feed back. Don't you think? Right now I am fascinated because this lady that was very sick had all kinds of tests done and so far doctors have not found what on earth is going with her. She has terrible bloating so I told her to get natural enzymes made of real fruit and veggies. No pills, the real thing. It is expensive but worth it. She did and she called to let me know that she can taste her food again plus she got some energy. She said that she had not had energy for so long that even a little bit is much appreciated. I couldn't be happier, I feel so sad when people are so sick. It just doesn't seem fair, life is so short. But miracles do happen, so hang in there!

Hi Gloria,
Thanks, I too hope the cat's claw will help. It is a future trial, because I am probably going to do a few things first. Parasite/bowel cleanse. Certainly I feel a lot of issues in the lower gut, it is always the same problem. I connect it with infections and possibly stemming also from the mouth.
Then maybe a liver cleanse and cat's claw a bit later. I get a bit overwhelmed with stuff I should do, but don't want to do too much at onetime. I wish there were answers and I'd like to know what they are!!! But I don't know what else to do, but to keep going.
Yes, I have heard enzymes can be a great help too. I cannot have any fruit at all. IT's pitiful, but even that's enough to feed the buggers in my gut area and I relapse completely. I am still trying to get over having a piece of fruit over a week ago. So something is badly wrong when I cannot even handle that. I once could.
Life is indeed short. Young adulthood doesn't last very long, pity it would be great if we were young for a long time and old for a short time <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
Anyway, I'll see what happens. Still being good on the diet side of things, but it's not proving to be enough this time.
take care.

Wow! You are going into tough territory. I think that if I was in your place and my immune system was weak like yours, I will fight inflammation first and parasite and liver cleanse afterwards.
How sad you cannot have fruits.
Have you tried Homeopathy for your problem?

Hi Gloria,
Well, it seems to have worked for some on here, so thought I'd give it a shot. I hope it's not going to be hard going. Have done parasite cleanses before and didn't really notice much, but bowel cleansing with it, might be helpful to my lower gut condition.
I'm not sure how it'll go. I'm looking forward to the cat's claw at some point. I think that's the one I am banking on in regards to the strange infections. At least to tide me over maybe as a temporary measure. Right now diet is proving disappointing, but going off it is not an option.
Yeah, it's hard to believe that I cannot even have a piece of fruit, but I really have candida so severely that it's almost destroying my life. Actually it is, so I need to do something. The diet used to work real well, but as time goes on, things start to fail on me because my immunity is not able to do what it should like it once was. So these days, whatever it is inside of me that's bad, seems to get the upperhand everytime. No matter what new avenue I go down, the temporary relief is just that "temporary".
It's not exactly a life I want to lead, but I cannot do much. Far from taking the strongest antifungal drug, but where would that lead? Would it then adapt to that and get stronger? it seems to have done this with everything else. But again it comes down to immunity.
Hard to believe it's become this bad! And yep, I've tried homeopathy before. Again, any effects are short lived and the problem is always there as ever it was. I've tried heels homeopathic detox kit which is probably the most effective in its own way, but still doesn't get rid of the actual problem. It has helped me a few times though.

Hi Bex
Oh, Bex. Cleanses are not going to help you get rid of your problem, especially if your immune system is that weak. Yes, I agree that cleanses help the body to absorve nutrients better but when someone's immune system is very weak, you have to be very careful of these cleanses. You have to work on building up your immune system before you go and do them.
I am glad you did Heel's, that is a very gentle one but after you did it, you had to build, build and build.
When I did a cleanse on my husband I learned so much, poor guy, he was my ginny pig and boy, he got so sick, I pleaded with him to let me take him to the emergency room. He was a good trooper and refused because he said what was the point of going through all that if in ER he was going to be given medication, probably strong antibiotics.
When he did the parasite cleanse we could see all kinds of unwelcomed visitors and we didn't stop till the evacuations came clear. It didn't cost very much because we used an herb that my grandma used to give us (My brother and sister)as children to keep us parasite free.
It was really hard for my husband to get rid of the candida. In fact we struggle everyday to keep candida away. The best thing I have found is to give him lots of probiotics in several forms. Capsules, Food, Kefir, fresh made yogurt. I always give him 4 capsules with water first thing in the morning. I don't even let him brush his teeth. He says it helps a lot because he instantly gets a burst of energy. I continue through out the day with the rest. His constipation problem went away. What his doctor told us was that Probiotics are the only thing that can really kill Candida. We did follow a diet that supposily kills it, I had to do it with him so that he would do it. I don't really know how much it worked though. We lost weight and felt very energetic but without the probiotics, it would keep coming back. Now we just take the probiotics daily without a failure and we watch our sugar intake. So far so good. Although you know what, Candida is part of us so it'll never go away completely. One thing that his doctor told us was never to do a cleansing during the winter because it is very hard on the vital organs.
THe candida diet was for 3 weeks, it wasn't so bad, as I remember.
I ate something that didn't agree with me last night and nothing seemed to work to get rid of whatever it was. I finally made myself a red tea with cat's claw and boy, it cleaned me out. I am feeling great now so I can do some work.
Don't give up Bex, you'll find what you are looking for, please be careful. Always remember that we are unique and sometimes what works for one, doesn't necessarily work for the other.

Hi Gloria, yeah maybe the cleanese won't help much, but a few on here have used them and seem to feel they've helped. My main issue of course is infections and low immunity. Something that I'm not sure how to address, which is why cat's claw seemed one possible aid, if in fact it does what some say it does (especially in my case).
Yeah Heels is excellent, helped me out of a few situations that one. It even helped me when I had mercury too, but it was pretty strong stuff and I had to take much less that the normal dose. Too many detox symptoms. But that was great because back then I had mercury, not these infections and it was one way to help my body get the metals out of me.
no cleansing does not fix infections, I have definitely found that out, but it may at least get some gunk out of me in the meantime.
Yep, candida is part of us, so it is normal, it's just when it gets out of it's normal healthy state that things go badly wrong. But I also think it's an indicator someone's body is out of balance, poisoned or something else is going on. Otherwise battling candida is ongoing and never a sure thing if the underlying problem remains.
I tried probiotics, expensive and didn't seem to help me. Perhaps I got a bung batch because one other time they seemed to work almost in the same day. This time...i noticed nothing at all.
The candida diet is 3 weeks if someone only needs it to temporarily get back into balance (e.g. after antibiotics) but it's permanent if someone has something like what I do. If I go off it even once, it's disastrous. This time though things are not really improving, so I am really upset by that. I'm eating as well as I can, but obviously it's just not doing the job.
Yeah that is very true, what works for some may not work for others. I'll be careful! I actaully regret hte dental work now, I think it's just not something my body could handle. But at the sametime, at some point it would needed to have been done anyway, so I was kind of stuck.
But it's left me in a very bad state. I underestimated what would happen I think. And overestimated my body's ability to cope! I thought that so long as I stuck to the diet, I'd be "ok"....hmmm didn't quite work out that way.
anyway, thanks again and hope things are going ok for you!!!

Hi Bex.
Tell me, do you have someone that has kinesiology knowledge and can help you find out if the cleanse you are planning to do is what you need?
Also, with Kinesiology you can find out if Cat's Claw is good for you.
I know it is frustrating to find the right path to health, it is a hard struggle. Some find it easier than others but is still no piece of cake.
The thing here is that you don't know for sure you have an infection. The other thing is that you are afraid of what might happen if you do the wrong thing. And the third one is that your financial situation doesn't allow for you to really try a whole program.
I don't know if I mentioned to you that when my husband was very sick and his doctor threw his arms up and told him, he honestly didn't know what to do with him, he recommended natural methods. Well, we found out how expensive alternative menthods are. We went from paying a $20.00 insurance co-payment to $400-500 dollars a month in supplements. I had to get a second job. It took a year for my husband to come around. He went from being in the hospital at least once a month if not two, to only going to see his doctor once a year. His doctor jokes with him telling him that it has cost him a lot of money to have sent him to Natural alternatives. Now days we are down to spending $200-250 a month. I also learned to cut down my grocery list and include the supplements as part of our daily foods. It was not easy but it has worked like a charm.
I think the mistake people make is to see supplements as a separate entity when they really are daily foods. The body will always assimilate powders and liquids much better than pills. The way I see it if I spend my money on a good powder or liquid power meal, it might cost me: $45.00 for a months supply but if I buy a bottle of vitamins for $19.99 and these pills cause acidity after going through my digestive system, the body will assimilate nothing or 20% if my digestive system is in good condition. However if I take powdered or liquid supplements, I might get at least a good 70-80% absorption of nutrients. Nutrition books teach you all of these things.
You need someone with Homeopathy knowledge to guide you when taking Heel's remedies. Also, in your case a simple remedy might work better than several together. In other words, classic homeopathy may work better for you.
Regarding Probiotics, yes, I have to agree they are expensive. If you buy cheap ones I have found out they do not work. I only buy the ones from NSP (Nature's Sunshine), I find them very reliable. I don't exactly know what you should see or feel when taking them. I know I feel good when I take them and lousy when I don't and the same with my husband. I do notice that we feel more energy if we drink some Kefir and take two capsules of probiotics with it. When my husband was sick, we muscle tested and he had to take 20 capsules a day. Now he only needs one in the morning and one at night. One time I told one of my friend that the probiotics alone were going to send us to the poor house. She told me to buy the Kefir and drink it at the same time we take the capsules since it maganifies the amount of probiotics. I did and the Kefir saves me money.
You mentioned that you regret taking the fillings out. I don't know how you felt before taking them out but imagine that you had to feel pretty bad to do it.
I used to be fatigued all the time and a friend of mine told me about taking my mercury fillings out. I told her I couldnt' do that because I am so scared of dentists that I'd probably have a heart attack. Now that I know about what has happened to you, I am glad I didn't even considered it.
My fatigue went away after I discovered I had high blood pressure and found the best natural way to control it
Can you make me a list of what your diet consists off?
I better go to sleep, I am dead tired and need to get up early tomorrow morning.

Hi Gloria,
Yes, I think my doctor is into kinseology, but not sure if it's helped me all that much to be honest. It's not getting to the underlying problems and this is what needs to be dealt with. It's very expensive to try and take this or that that doctors recommend sometimes only to find you're not much better at the end of it.
I figure I might as well give this bowle cleanse a go. I have nothing to lose seriously. I did the heels detox kit without a homeopath. It's available for anybody. It's a balanced amount of each preparation in a 1.25 litre of water that you drink throughout the course of the day. I just went by my own responses as to how much I could handle. I started lower than the recommended dose because detox symptoms were often too strong. I did this many time whilst mercury toxic and it worked. I also used it for other toxic reasons and it usually worked.
other classic homeopathy has not proven that helpful. The only doctor who really was able to produce an impact was one in another city. He really knew his stuff, but again travel!!! So I've always wound up just going from one person to another. His homeopathy was EXCELLENT for mercury. Wow! powerful stuff and highly effective. I just couldn't afford the tips back and forth eventually. But I believe his stuff got me somewhere too. Everything combined made the difference I think. Though I wound up using Andrew Cutler';s protocol in the end and that suited me just fine.
I don't regret getting amalgams out! I regret getting the wisdom teeth removed, because I believe I got much sicker after that was done. Amalgam removal did make me very ill, but most of this was because the stored mercury started to come out of me and it was mostly about detox symptoms that made me so miserable during that time. This happens to many people, but after proper chelation I was healing nicely from mercury. Doing MUCH better. Much happier and healthier too. It was like coming out of a dark tunnel. I was so happy so often from being detoxed, that it's hard to even describe the joy I was able to finally experience.
My regrets are extraction of teeth, plus I got an infection (systemic) from using infected eye cosmetic. Starting with eye infection and spreading into my body. It's become a permanent condition. Some kind of virus/bacteria and was totally debiliated by it and have never recovered. Still cannot exercise properly to this day.
The nature's sunshine probiotics sound like a pretty good brand. I may try them in future. Haven't had kefir before! I have organic biofarm yoghurt which is pretty good stuff.
I'm not surprised you're fearful of dentists, a lot of people are. I'm glad I got the amalgams out, but so upset with myself for getting my wisdom teeth removed. I had NO idea about cavitations then and the possibility for that occuring, especially considering I was already immune deficient from the virus. If only I could turn back the clock.
So this is why I hope when I try cat's claw it may aid the infection side of things to some extent. I could get it tested with my doctor and see what she thinks, but I'm quite keen to try it regardless. I may actually see if someone at the healthfood shop can help with that, I think there is someone wo works there that does testing and things.
My diet consists of very healthy foods. If I deviate off it at all, I'm a worse mess. I eat yoghurt (the good stuff), raw nuts (almonds and brazil), raw seeds (sunflower and pumpkin), meat (beef, chicken, liver, lamb), vegetables (low carb) either raw and/or stir fried or steamed. I drink herbal tea. I include good fats like butter, lard, olive oil, mercury free fish oil.
I cannot change this diet, I've tried. It's all I can tolerate. Eating any fruit or any grain at all is disastrous. If I coudl? I would be including fruits and non glutenous grains, plus some raw honey in tea and some milk (for cereals and teas). I would probably have carob for treats too.
I used to do so well on that, I could eat all of those things once, even with candida. Because I did not have the infections i now have. I did excellent on that diet. It just seemed to have everything in the right balance. Now? I because of infections? My immunity is in a mess and anything feeds the infection i believe too.
So I do what I can with what I've got. It's frustrating but just the way things are. I take minimal supplements too, just vitamin C (quality powder), vitamin E (natural), selenium (drops/liquid), milk thistle (liquid), plus zinc / b6 / magnesium (in one tablet) and a good quality fish oil capsule.
That's about it <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Wow 20 capules of probiotics is ALOT, but your husband obviusly really required this. So glad to hear he only needs 1 twice per day. That is something he may need to do for the rest of his life, plus the kefir. It usually is when there is something amiss that hasn't been found or isn't correctable (at this stage). I need to increase my good bacteria big time, I am certain of that. I don't think the biofarm yoghurt is enough, I seem to implant something in the gut.
Maybe the nature's sunshine will be the brand to do that.
Thanks so much for you responses. No pressure, please only reply if/when it's convenient and when you feel like doing so.
Cheers <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/byebye.gif" alt="" />

Hi Bex
I have learned a lot from your posts and someday this knowledge will help someone in need.
Sometimes I get very, very tired because I didn't get to have a nap. I believe in naps, even if it is for 10 minutes. Naps are refreshing and replenish energy. When I don't have one I don't have the energy to keep on going late at night. Since it is at night when I answer my emails when I am feeling very tired I don't answer them. But believe me, I read them no matter how tired I am and send little notes letting the person I read his/her post or email. I feel that if the person took the time to right, she/he deserves to know her efforts are appreciated.
As I read your post and all you have gone through, I begin to think of all my friends that are sick. Some are very sick and have found no answers in regular medicine or natural alternatives. Some like me and my family have found an answer in natural alternatives. Most of my friends are used to regular medicine getting them on their feet pretty quick and expect the same from natural alternatives. When a person is sick it is difficult to understand that it doesn't work that way. So, I am forever observing and writing down my findings. I am so grateful that Natural methods have worked for me and my family that I am forever sharing with people and some have been helped by things that are amazingly simple.
I have a friend right now that is quite sick. Her doctor told her that she has to have surgery because eventhough the blood work doesn't show cancer, the pain that she gets is exactly like the pain that comes with cancer. The pain is coming more often now and staying longer. My friend has spent thousands of dollars in Natural supplements but to no avail. In her last appointment her doctor told her that she has great damaged in her intestines linings. He wanted to know if she eats a lot of citrus fruits. My friend told him that she can't eat anything citrus because the pain attacks her so bad that she feels like she is going to die. But she confessed to him, finally, that she did a lot of intestinal cleanses. Different people told her about different cleanses and she would do them. Needless to tell you how angry her doctor got. Test are going to be done to see how much damage to the lining is there. She is very scared but it has to be done, she has to have an anestheric because she can't stand the pain. Her pain runs from the stomach to the rectum. I asked her how often did she do cleanses and she told me she did several in a two year period but she didn't remember how far apart she did them. Nobody told her she had to replace the good flora so, she had not taken probiotics. She can't eat much because the pain attacks, her diet is very limited. I am going to show her yours and maybe it will give her some ideas. We are trying to find ways that may help her as she doesn't want to have surgery.
Your post is most interesting tonight. It will take sometime to assimilate everything you have written. I will get back to you soon. I better go to sleep now. Take good care of yourself.

Hi Bex
Yes, I think my doctor is into kinseology, but not sure if it's helped me all that much to be honest. It's not getting to the underlying problems and this is what needs to be dealt with. It's very expensive to try and take this or that that doctors recommend sometimes only to find you're not much better at the end of it.
Bex, this is most interesting. A Doctor that I am friend's with uses Kinesiology to determine what supplements can help with particular circustances and which ones are rejected by the body. This is really a great help for what I have seen. I do agree with you that it can get very expensive to be buying this and that product that either doctors or people recommed. This is where Kinesiology helps a lot. This doctor friend of mine says that patience is very much needed when healing with natural methods because it takes one month per every year that our bodies have been abused to get results. If a person has been abusing the body for 12 years, then it will take 12 months to achieve positive results. I have found that it doesn't necesarely have to be so, sometimes, especially with Homeopathy a person can get immidiate results and then just mantain. I can see why it has been so frustrating for you. You seem to have tried everything possible and not gotten the results you so much wish and need. I know by my own experience that consistency and absolute dedication has paid big time. Like I said before, sometimes it is just one simple thing, nothing complicated and the person heals. I went to an herbology seminar about 2 months ago. My neighbor is an 80 year old sweet, sweet lady. She had her left knee totally swollen and the pain didn't let her walk. She was very sad because she is very active and since she couldn't walk she was depressed and began to tell me, she wanted to die. This little old lady takes 18 pills, (regular meds), every day. I won't even go into it, we all know medicines, especially, cholesterol and high blood pressure meds, kill you, slowly but surely. Her daughter and I tried several remedies but nothing helped. Well, when I went to this herbology seminar the doctor talked a lot about interreaction of herbs and foods with medications. When he was talking about the fruits and vegetables nutritional properties, he said that beets are a very potent liver cleanser. Whether juiced, cooked or raw, beets go to work on cleansing the liver very aggresively. When a person is taking lots of meds or eats a lot of junk, drinks a lot of coffee or dark sodas, bad water, alcohol drinks, they usually have a very toxid liver. When the liver is very toxic and beets start cleaning house aggresively the person feels very sick but don't know what's wrong. If the person has a weaken immune system over all, the person can die from the overwhealming removal of toxins. He went through all the symptoms and violent reactions the person can experience. Guess what? My neighbor's daughter was giving her 4oz of beet juice every other morning because her doctor had said she was slighly anemic. I could quickly identify the symptoms and reactions my neighbor was having. Once the beet juice was stopped and exchanged for celery juice, she began to get well and the knee swelling dissappeared together with her depression, also her insomia went away. Something so simple as beet juice was playing havoc with my poor neighbor's body. This is why I believe that a person who wants to heal with natural alternatives has to study, read and keep informed. To buy supplements you have to study your own personal needs and trust your insticts. Doctors as well as alternative medicine practicioners are human beings like you and me and they don't have all the answers. You know your body like nobody else does and as frustrating as it might seem, keep trying, there is an answer for you, you'll see.
I also understand where you are coming from regarding how expensive natural alternatives are, but look at this way: There is this pneumonia epidemic going around. Drs offices, hospitals, you name it are full of sick people with pneumonia right now. My husband's friend was told he had to wait 6 hours for a doctor to see him in the ER. I don't know where you live but this is happening here in California where I live. My husband got the pneumonia and was very sick with it but it was over in 4 days. He went back to work on the fifth day. It cost me $264.00 dollars to get him well and up on his feet again. His boss got the pneumonia also, almost at the same time than my husband did. The man was given antibiotics for 15 days. He has not been able to go to work, he feels very, very weak and all he wants to do is sleep but the cough doesn't let him. He is taking cough medicine with codeine, yet the cough remains. The difference? He paid, $100.00 co-payment for the ER visit and $10.00 co-payment for the antibiotics and $10.00 co.payment for the cough medicine. He has spent $120.00 dollars and after 7 days he is still at home, sick as a dog and unable to work. Which one is the really expensive one?
I'll answer the rest of your email later on. It has been a very enticing read; it even made me go back to old notes and also to do some research.
Maybe together we can find a way to help you.

HI Gloria, thanks for your post, really interesting. I think that too, I have grown to get very used to what my body is responding too and things that aren't quite right, or at least something my body isn't coping with.
I think by diet alone, there is enough detox going on without adding too much else to the regime, or I can find myself becoming overwhelmed with symptoms which actually doesn't tend to do me much good because the body can only detox at a rate it can keep up with. Swamp it and it goes into overload and there tends to be a backfire effect from released toxins, which tend to be re-absorbed because the body couldn't handle it and was unable to excrete it all. It's like being repoisoned sometimes.
I do ok on vitamin C, but must watch other supplements as I can find it stirs too many toxins up on occassion. I take breaks too, so my body gets a chance to rid itself of what was stirred up.
I personally have been down many roads in my journey, of homoepaths, herbalists, iridologists, doctors, Voll testing, and the list goes on. They all may have helped in their own way at one time or another, but nothing really remedied the underlying condition. Diet was also great, and that I rely upon as my foundation, but there is far more that needs fixing than any kind of herbal remedy or cleanse can really 'fix".
So I don't go in for it too much these days. I am saving my money because I need to pay off my dental bill which is excessive (my choice because I opted for porcelain). And then later it maybe finding a surgeon to do cavitation surgery, if I can. Until then, I am on a limited budget, with just my diet to rely upon mainly and the on occassion cleanse or basic change of supplements to see if something may work a bit better for me.
nothing extravagent, just the bare minimum.
Yes antibiotics are a KILLER. I can tell you that I think it was last year or the year before (hard to tell, time races for me), I was put on antibiotics after a very bad flu virus. I was badly infected from the virus and spent every night coughing and was not able to sleep. I was coughing up green mucous (sorry for too much information) and was so ill that I was having chills and fever. It was becoming bad enough to where had I left it longer, I'd probably have been taken to hopsital. My parents said enough is enough and off I went and got antibitoics from a doctor.
Yep, they fixed the flu infection, but the consequences were serious. My gut condition, candida problems exacerbated to double and I am much worse off since. I still cannot get back to even how I was then (which wasn't great).
One guy I know is still severely sick a year and a half later after only one course of antibiotics. So they are lethal. What I should have done in hindsight, is stick to my strict diet, instead of stupidly cheating and probably using some strong herbs and maybe eating garlic too.
My cheats during that time was because my candida wasn't quite as serious as it is now, so I was very foolish. I also noted that everytime I succumbed at ate sugar foods, the flu infection increased and my coughing worsened, as did the mucous. Yet when I stuck to the diet, things lessened. However, I didn't give it enough chance and took the avenue of antibiotics. I wonder now when I look back if I had stuck to the regime enough and for long enough, whether I would have cured myself....I can't say because the infection was very serious.
I know myself quite well and I do truly feel that it will take dramatic intervention to gain any real impact and long term results/relief and that may well wind up being dental surgery. I do not know.
I do of course take things that I think may aid my body to cope better, but to be honest, they just do not have enough impact for long enough time. Things usually fall apart at some point because whatever is there, remains and continues to cause problems 24/7.
It would be great to know exactly what is going on!
thanks again for your posts.

Hi Bex.
I haven't been at my computer much. One of my sisters got the bug that is going around and got very sick. She lives about 90 minutes from where I live and since gas is so expensive, I just stayed there.
I am so glad you wrote the above paragraph. I sometimes eat broccoli and nothing else the whole day and cleanse. I feel very good after my body gets rid of whatever it has to get rid off. This is why I don't spend my money on cleanses. Fruits and veggies do a great job. Sometimes I just drink veggie juices and the occational fruit juice. Every juice is freshly made. Cleansing in this manner gives me lots of energy.
Doctors are giving antibiotics to people getting this bug that is going around and people are getting sicker instead of better. My sister is diabetic and can't afford to have her immune system compromised. This is why I stayed with her. She didn't take the antibiotics. We use antioxidants, teas and homeopathy. She is much better.
One guy I know is still severely sick a year and a half later after only one course of antibiotics. So they are lethal. What I should have done in hindsight, is stick to my strict diet, instead of stupidly cheating and probably using some strong herbs and maybe eating garlic too.
Wow, poor guy, those antibiotics really did a number on his health. I think you are right taking antibiotics can be quite deprimental for you. Eventhough it is easier to take them than to take the long road with alternatives, we always pay a high price.
I have to say that it is no easy not to cheat and I do it all the time. Most of the time I am very sorry but not all the time. Natural alternatives are a life long commitment and it can get tireing and expensive so sometimes I go off the wagon. Your problem is too serious though and I can understand why it can be deprimental.
But don't give up, there has to be something for you out there, you'll find it, have faith.
Time to go to sleep, I have to get up at 6:00 A.M.

Hi Gloria,
Sorry to hear about your sister. I hope she's coming right. Trying to stay off antibiotics and take alternatives is something i really wish I had done.
I totally agree with you about swamping the body with too much detox at onetime. Achieving not much more often than a backfire just as you described. Couldn't have said it better. How often have I done that? Wow. I used to do it all the time when I was mercury poisoned. And then I'd have to deal with the aftermarth which took a long time to recover from.
Yep, sometimes diet alone can produce more then enough die off or detox effects in a person, without additional stuff. I think it's best to do that first and wait until things settle before adding other things. Right now, I am using stuff my doctor has told me to take. A powdered complex of vitamins and minerals, magnesium caps, zinc caps, and some thyroid (natural), plus something for adrenals as well and I have to take iodine too. I'm not yet on everything, but taking it day by day.
I really truly believe the dental visit recently has taken a big toll on my system and wiped me out. Day by day it is the same thing, just chronic exhaustion and aching. Especially lower back and gut (kidney areas too). Though I've been very good on my diet and taking it easy, on it goes.
I don't know if the hormone stuff will help, time will tell I guess. I'm taking my temperature everyday too to check on my results to see what is going on with me. So I'm just using the supplements at this point, and continuing the testing of temperature for about a week I think. THEN, I'll add the hormone stuff and see what changes take place and retest as well.
It's very hard to get the balance right. Of course, this is just basically treating symptoms in the hormone sense and not really the real problem causing it in the first place. However, if the problem cannot be found or remedied, then this is all I have for now.
I'm glad your sister didn't opt for the antibiotics and used natural remedies instead. Good on her! So glad she's improved from what she took. Sounds great to me.
Yeah veggies and fruit do wonderful things, what a pity I cannot eat fruit! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> I can't at all, even one piece will make things worse. I get brain fog and everything from it. Candida goes crazy when I eat it. I don't know why, I used to do ok on it, but then my immunity wasn't as bad.
Yes I know what you mean about cheating. I'm the cheat queen. how many times I've fallen off the wagon is ridiculous. But eachtime the pain of having to get back on track becomes too much. This time i've stuck to my guns because I am just too ill to take any chances.
Thanks, I hope there is an answer out there.
Catch you later! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Hi Bex
This is very weird. I answered your post and my answer is not there. I was very sleepy and must have pressed the wrong key. Oh, well, I have done that before.
I spent some time reading some of the posts on Mercury poisoning. After I read about some very impresive symptoms I couldn't help but to think that we have a whole world of people who probably have mercury poisoning in their systems. In the past I heard about it but never with the intensity that is talked about it in this forum.
I guess when people have those fillings removed, it is like opening a Pandora Box, you never know what is going to happen.
I only know one person who has taken the fillings out and she is very healthy. She told me she had them taken out because her spleen was in such bad condition that she had been told it was her only chance to live. She was 24 when the fillings were removed. Married and wanting a child but unable to get pregnant, she sustains that she got pregnant after the 4th month the fillings had been removed. Afterwards, she did keep a very strict diet and seldom left the path. The last time I saw her it was her 35th birthday. She had a boy and they both were the picture of health. She told me that removing those fillings was the best money she invested on herself. I asked if she still follow the strict diet and she answered, "Absolutely."
It was her who taught me how important the antioxidants are. Time has proven her right.
I asked myself, what will it take for the FDA to do away with Amalgam tooth fillings? But then I wonder if they have the power and if it is their juridiction. Maybe it is the insurances that have to stop being so cheap and start paying porcelain. But of course insurances won't pay for anything they consider a luxury. Perhaps it is up to the dentists together with patients to fight for our right not to have amalgam put in our mouths. So far I presume doctors probably claim there is not enough evidence of Amalgam fillings causing all these problems.
I read your post about the metal smell in the sweat. It made me remember that about 2 years ago I discovered a kind of sour smell under my breasts. I began to watch closely and noticed it showed up together with a white coated, purple tongue. I went to see an acupuncturist who told me I needed to be treated for digestive problems. LIke you and mostly anybody in this forum, I went down the line of different natural programs and different practictioners. I don't regret it and I bless everybody that tried to help me. The supplements helped me in many other ways but the white coated purple tongue remained as well as the acrid smell under my breasts.
One day, I discovered on my own a book on PH Balance. I thought it was very interesting and began to practice it. Well, the acrid smell under my breasts went away for good. It has never come back. The white coated purple tongue remained. Someone recommended an Asian Dr. for this problem and I went to see him. After $300.00 dollars consultation fee, I was told I had heart trouble. I went to my doctor and he of course sent me to get all kinds of tests. Everything came out normal. My white coated purple tongued remained like that for years no matter what I did for my digestive system, tons of antioxidants, best natural tooth pastes, especial mouth rinses, you name it, I did it. One morning, two months ago, I opened my mouth to brush my teeth and I saw a normal tongue. My tongue is pink and looks totally healthy. What did it? Only God knows because I don't. I have a list of supplements I take but couldn't credit any particular one because I honestly do not know what did it. It can very well be a team effort.
My digestive system is fine and so is my heart but I am still fighting High Blood Pressure which is hereditary. The thing is that I never in my life had normal blood pressure. Am I going to die from it? Who knows. I do know that when I was given blood pressure medication I almost died. When I was taking the H.B.P. med my urine smelled like iron and heavy metals. I stopped taking it and all those smells went away.
This morning I read your post on this subject once more and I could identify with a lot of what you said in there. I won't ever let doctors give me B.P. medication. It was a terrible experience.
I rather watch my PH balance, my diet and take my supplements.
*A powdered complex of vitamins and minerals, magnesium caps, zinc caps, and some thyroid (natural), plus something for adrenals as well and I have to take iodine too. I'm not yet on everything, but taking it day by day.
Keep this doctor. I do believe the best supplements are either in powder form or liquid. I don't like pills. One doctor that I took some health classes with showed us a video of dead people whose insides looked like Christmas trees. They had all kinds of colorful pills stucked in their fatty tissues that never dissolved. Since that time, I don't care if powder and liquid supplements are more expensive I rather spend the extra money but I won't take pills. I do like capsules and I do take them sometimes but mostly I take powder or liquid supplements and teas. I also take chlorophyll everyday.
I am going to get the address of a website you might want to visit. Maybe you know it. It is Dr. Jensen's website. Are you familiar with Dr. Jensen?
He has a wonderful thyroid supplements and it is totally inexpensive. It has work wonders for several people I know. It also tastes good.
Well, I better go to sleep. Hope you are feeling a little better. Like you said, we can only make it day by day.

Hi Gloria, sorry for the long delay in responding!!
I have done that before to0 (regarding typing a post and pushing the wrong button and it disappears). It drives me nuts. I've done it on email too. Nothing worse when you've put effort into it and it's all for nothing.
Yes, that friend of yours probably did the right thing with no only amalgam removal but also supporting her health ongoing. It's not just about getting fillings out, it's the entire picture. Even Hal Huggins says that more recoveries are destroyed due to wrong diet or overdoing it too soon after amalgam removal.
It is one answer, but it's not the entire answer. THe body really does need help to excrete the toxins and heal from this and it can take a few years. It's not easy.
I think the ADA personally is trying to phase out amalgam very very slowly, but surely. Because they know full well it's toxic and word is getting around. more people are aware, further tests will come in the future that will prove this even moreso, so they can't very well admit to it being toxic or they will be sued. The only way is to keep using it, so nobody will think there is a problem, but just gradually phase it out and nobody will be much the wiser. MOre dentists will no doubt become biologic also. It's about informed choice and people now are getting that as time goes on about amalgam. It's not much of a secret anymore. Though some are still in the dark.
People tend to get annoyed when you mention it, they don't want to know it's toxic and you get the impression they think you're a bit....neurotic or something.
That is very strange about the purple tongue with white coating and the acrid smell under your breasts....very strange. I wonder if you were exposed to some toxin and were not aware of it? And that was part of it trying to come back out? Perhaps it just took a long time to come out and the supplements you took may have helped along the way.... because to me it definitely sound like you ingested/inhaled/absorbed something...seems strange to me why it would just clear up.
Yes high blood pressure in our family also. Mercury can also cause high blood pressure! But yes it is also hereditary, but the thing is, whatever someone's genetic weakness is...toxins emphasise that weakness. Mercury seems to capatilise on it, as do other poisons. Are there natural ways of helping it? E.g. sugar free diet? additions of fish oils? (mercury free)? Removal of any sources of toxic load (e.g. amalgam/root canals etc)?
That's horrible about the pills stuck in fatty tissues of those people. UGH, that is putting me off taking them. I am taking powder multi vitamin/mineral, liquid milk thistle, liquid selenium and unfortunatey capsule magnesium, vitamin E, zinc.....
Im not familiar with Dr Jensen, thanks for letting me know. I'm still experimenting right now with what the doctor gave me, so I wont go and search anything else just yet. I have started teh thyroid hormone yet. I've tried iodine, but it seems when I take it, I feel hyped up....not sure if that's coincidence, but if it continues, I'll know that this is not what my body wants.
It is ongoing, it is very hard, there is no real respite or improvements so to speak. I can only hope for further relief. I'm finding sweet corn a problem (too high in carbs) and possibly carrots also. So I'm getting fed up with the diet side of it for sure. I ate those and another day had some coleslaw with dressing and immediately knew I had fed the organisms in the gut. I know the symptoms well, it's horrible.
anyway, take care and hope you're feeling ok?
Cheers <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
