On the bbc news, there was about a one minute article on it, saying they may be dangerous, because they contained mercury, and it was a short one minute piece and they just ended it quickly by saying the level of mercury in the lights is very small and cannot be harmful.
Another point on a separate matter I wanted to say was that people accept that a tiny drop of arsenic is dangerous, a tiny drop of uranium would be dangerous, yet people cannt accept that a small amount of mercury in a filling is also dangerous , and dismiss it by saying if a dentist does it, it must be safe. people should start comparing mercury to things like arsenic which people immediately think of as poisonous and then people will realise even tiny amounts of mercury affect people.

sure I'll admit that one or two amalgam filling may not cause too many problems , but most people have an average of 8 to 12 filling which can cause many problems , I had a total of 15 amalgam filling which are causing me a sh*t load of problems I am getting better now that they are removed , but It should not have never happened in the first place.

Yeah, somewhere i heard that they are actually not supposed to put anymore than 4 fillings into anybody's mouth due to the content of mercury.....
I had 8. Hal Huggins talks about a young highschool guy whose health plummeted and nobody knew why....happened after one ONE small pit filling. It was removed and he was restored to health. So basically one pit filling stood in the way of him having good health and ability to get involved in sport...
My Mother has a mouth packed full of such much amalgam that it's almost more amalgam than teeth. Removing it, causes the tooth to literally fall apart. They used to fill them not just when there was a cavity but as a "preventative" measure...yet it actually weakens the structure of the tooth...so they drilled into people's teeth for no good reason.
Also teeth have been known to heal to a point too. Kids with small cavities that were left for awhile have been known to heal over and not need a filling...they're too drill happy in my opinion. I guess healing would depend on the type of diet the child is receiving too, but it can and apparently does happen.
Not sure about flueroscent lights, but I'll say this. When I did a course at a place that had them, I got unwell the entire time I spent there during the day and people would remark on my appearance. My vision would also deteriorate. Then I'd gradually feel better once I got home....I felt they did affect me, even though they were not broken.
I also got very ill when I did a short stint at working in an aluminium factory. I was right down where the factory was and the guys were constantly sawing aluminium with dust flying. I was so sick whilst working there, I began to get hallucinations before sleep. I could not hold food down properly, I was on pain killers and had nausea and had to constantly disappear into the bathroom to mop oil off my face. My face was constantly excreting oil, almost as a response to the stress I was under. I was bloated and my face went from it's usual pallor to almost grey looking.
I would say I was very mercury toxic and the metal dust in the factory was adding greatly to my toxicity and pushing my over the edge.
