Does anyone have any information regarding tremors and their connection to mercury poisoning - or simply about tremors alone for that matter? If you suspect that you're tremors are caused by mercury toxicity, general detoxing aside, what else can be done to remedy the tremor attacks when they come?
Now just to clarify here, I'm not looking for information on how to detox mercury in general, rather, how to handle tremors on a case by case basis.
Additionally, how much would you dissuade someone from taking sedatives or anti-depressants (as have been prescribed) for tremors and, if so, why?
I'd greatly appreciate anyone's feedback. Cheers!

I believe the tremors are from the mercury. I have them alot. When I was real sick I had them worse than now. I take L-glutamine and 5htp. If I stop taking either one of these I get the tremors real bad and lack of balance and bump into alot of things, drop things. I also take calcium and magnesium as well as flax and fish oils. I believe the oils are very important in helping heal what has been destroyed in the central nervous system. I would not take any of the things the conventional docs offered. Most of what they offer can do more damage especially to the liver. Why add fuel to an already existing fire?

Imo there is a good chance that tremors are caused by a magnesium deficiency. Many with mercury toxicity have candida overgrowth which may impair absorbtion of minerals even if you are taking in enough.

You can get L-glutimine and 5htp at the health food store. The l-glutimine will help with the gut and muscle control as well as help you gain muscle. The 5htp will help the muscle as well as headaches and depression and insomnia. Hope this helps. Good Luck, Nina Rachel

Nina, I thought having some information about 5-HTP and L-glutamine might help you, and just in case, here are some links for magnesium and fish oils: 5-HTP L-glutamine Magnesium Fish Oils (Super Omega-3 EPA) My own opinion would be to definitely take Magnesium (especially magnesium malate and/or citrate which are more easily absorbed than magnesium oxide). You may need to take a lot, compared to what non-mercury people take (Cutler talks about this in his Amalgam Illness book). The suggestion for fish oils might also be very helpful, especially given what fatty acids do for the body. My own experience with L-glutamine is limited to taking it to fend off MSG toxicity from eating Chinese food that contained MSG (which is a neuro-toxin). I've used 5-HTP to boost serotonin levels to improve my sleep before I had my amalgams removed and it did help a lot. Hope this helps, <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/flower4u.gif" alt="" />
