Ok We all started the humaworm today. The Cats officially hate me.
The only way I could think to do it was to put a little water in the powder and use a syringe and squirt it down their throats.
Let's say they went crazy foaming at the mouth. I can't do this to the poor things twice a day!
I don't know why HM could not have put the stuff in a capsule. Would capsule be the best way to go?
How do you all do it?
THanks

I use an eyedropper.
Mine is a liquid dewormer, I use black walnut with some clove oil for the cat. I tried doing another cat, she would foam at the mouth, eventually I copuld not catch her at all to give it to her. I gave up on her, tired of the scratches too. The other cat is just real easy, trusts me real good I guess, I simply open her mouth and squirt in on the back of her tongue. She musses a tad about the taste but gets over it in a couple minutes. She doesn't foam at the mouth. Just depends on the cat i guess.
I give her a bit of fried chicken livers as a treat a bit afterward so she responds real well for the reward. Just a good cat that one, better manners than my kid.
I use high doses with her so that missing a day here and there would not be such a big deal. She's on her second round now. The difference in her is obvious, a lot less itching and fanny licking.

Hi I use wormwood combo by Kroeger herbs. It comes in capsule form. I just open the capsule and sprinkle half of it on their food. I use can wet food for the dogs and cats and I do this twice a day. They don't like the smell but they eat it. It's a whole lot easier than trying to force it down them. Hope that makes things easier.

HW contains Black Walnut Cloves Wormwood Ginger Cayenne Senna Garlic Theres no way my cats are gonna eat this stuff in their food.
The foaming at the mouth wasn't so bad today. I'm gonna get empty capsules and fill them so it's not so dramatic for them. My one cat still hates me the other one is lovey again.
Directions say to do 5 days once per month. I think we can manage that
Us people folk are doing pretty good on day 2 now, just my 6yo dd got a bit nauseous and flushed last night but fine this morning.
Thanks

Ok time for a break. I got 5 days worth down them with a syringe.
I start another 5 days next month.
Already they look more perky, coat is shiny. They even love to chase snowflakes as they fall from the sky. It's so cute to see.
The one cat loves me, the other still thinks every time I go past her I'm gonna shove the stuff down her throat, poor girl but I think she'll come around and then we'll have to start up again next month.

Hi veggimom, can you give the cats a really fancy treat eachtime you worm them, so they may start associating the bad with some good? Sometimes this can really help.
They hate the parasite stuff, but if you give them something wonderful afterwards, it may soften the procedure a bit?
Just a thought....I saw it done on TV with this dog that would go bezerk everytime he had to have a certain treatment done. And it worked...though he got a massage so it's a little different BUT, he began to associate yucky treatment time with massage time
I wormed my cat with ordinary tablets from a vet, which I crushed up and fed to her in walk milk through a syringe. This worked out ok. But trying to do it any other way? Was near impossible, plus she'd just hate me for it and act like I was some monster. She was pretty high strung as it was.

I use the H umaworm for humans, and it really does work really good! You can ask RG over at Humaworm to leave out the Senna and replace with Cascara Sagrada (much less severe of an herb and non habit forming) and he will accomodate.
One of the members at Curezone feeds the humaworm to his dog inside cat food. The dog knows it normally wouldnt be permitted cat food, so he actually looks forward to his dewormer dosage ..lol!
You may want to either open the capsules and sprinkle in tuna fish, or coat them with cod liver oil and give the dosage a little at a time each day.

Hi Bex and Boldy nice to see you.
Yhea I really like the HW myself. I get mine without psyllium and had a little h/a on day 3 and 4 but actually feel pretty good on it as long as I take my herbal lax and coffee e's.
The kitties are fine and over the trauma. I'll stick to the syringe or empty my 4yo's capsules as she cannot swallow pills yet and refill them with the HW for cats and give it to them.
My 4yo actually likes the taste of the HW believe it or not. My 6yo and 8yo do fine swallowing and actually told Grandpa that "we take worm pills"LOL.
I think the whole world would feel alot better taking HW.
I'm sold on it, but haven't seen any creatures in my or the kids poo yet.
Take care

Hi Sunshine. I had the HW tested by two different people one with muscle testing and one who did the EAV and both said my body really liked it. It liked it so much I should be taking 7-8 pills a day, but I'm sticking to the instructions.
I overall feel better my energy levels are up and able to get things done around the house.
I also think it's been very good for my Lyme symptoms.

Yeah mine too... I think the herbals work for us people a lot better and are more total body systemic but with the animals... they do not get enough and giving it to them is difficult... and of course the litter box etc.. anyway I found this, it mentions some chem dewormers. http://ezinearticles.com/?Parasites...-What-to-Do-About-Them&id=415583 I tried the one that he didn't like I am going to order some of the better stuff he recommends, like ProTal. it's a one dose, maybe once every couple weeks and then twice a year later thing, gets them out of the digestive tract/colon anyway, for the animals, and it's flavored so they like it. Shop around... I noticed the prices vary widely for different name brands and it's all the same stuff.

you know what also... i have been doing a colon cleanse with herbals and enemas. and guess what.... um hmmm.
I suspect at this point that the colon cleanse is essential withe parasite cleanse just as sunshine did his routine... my guess is that the herbals do a real good job in your stomach, but the colon is another matter because of fecal matter, hiding places for eggs, and the fact that the herbals get digested before getting there.
Nothing major here but a few noticeable items are enough to worry about.
I will probably follow the suggestion of the ND that wrote the article in the link above. he seems pretty sure about it and i am sure about what i see during the cleansing. I will probably use the fresh black walnut hull in the fall again. I am using the tincture once every couple weeks in the meantime.
Some bentonite clay in the enema rinse seems pretty effective too, i think it makes the colon too slippery for them to hang on. i even tried a couple teaspoons of chlorella in the enema and had good results, it sticks to stuff and loosens it. i got a definite mercury release after that too, which was an interesting way to take chlorella, from the other end, like a suppository I guess. i did not not get a foggy chlorella head from it either which was nice but it defintely did some chelating.
