I had my amalgams out a couple of months ago (no improvements yet) and in the last few weeks I have had terrible spells of itching, not anywhere specific, all over. Has anybody else ever experienced this?

Has anybody else ever experienced this? What symptoms do/did you have? I got that itching too after ALA chelation. I believe it's mercury/toxins coming out of the skin...

Hi mark, yeah, I got those itches. I get two types. 1) On rounds of DMSA I get really itchy arms & hands, mostly around my tattoo on my right arm. this is mercury related. 2) Different a kind of itch, on arms, hands, upper legs and head off rounds, which is aggravated really badly by eating coconut oil, pumpseeds. So much so that I avoid them now. for me, these itches are parasite related.

Hi Mark I have the itching too. I believe it is mercury and toxins coming out of the skin. I started itching worse after I started doing the dry brushing, must have given my body a boost on the detox. I also get that red mercury rash looks disgusting. Some of the itching might have to do with parasites too. I have those little bugs too. I have done 2 cleanses and time for the next at the end of the month, so they could be accumulating again. All I can say is take lots of showers, it seems to help. Rachel <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/byebye.gif" alt="" />

hi mark g : have you tried using a suana in the past ? , it makes sense to me that if toxins are trying to exit the skin , but you are not sweating then you could be holding up progress and this is where the itching would come in , if you can't find a sauna ,then the next best thing would be a hot bath and soak for at least 30 mins , this will open the pores and release some of the toxins

Hi all and thanks for the responses. My symptoms are mainly sensory based (numbness/vison etc).
It sounds like the itching could actually be a good thing then which is encouraging to hear.
There is a sauna in my town but its too expensive for me to use at the moment. How do I take a detox bath, what do I need?

Hi Mark, baths that used to work for me when I was mercury toxic, were epsom salt baths or sea salt and baking soda baths.
One cup or so is usually sufficient of each product. Epsom salts I'd use on its own. Sea salt and baking soda, I'd use together in one bath (1 cup or so each).

What Bex said is perfectly fine. Just chuck in some Epsom salts and\or salt and\or baking soda and have soak in a hot bath. That’s fine.
I got good results from this, so I investigated this a little more and found out some other ways to go about it. More hardcore detox baths, LOL, which is more my style, LOL.
I will start a new thread on detox baths because they come up regularly.
