Just a couple of questions in anyone can throw some light on them. Over the years, on intermittent ocassions, I have noticed a very strong metallic smell in my sweat; mainly from my hands, but that is because it is easier to get them to my nose. Also, at times in the past, my menstrual flow smellled VERY metallic. I had asked doctors about this over several years, but they couldn't help. Would this have been from Mercury, or some other metal?

Yes, I have experienced this when metal toxic. I have had it when eliminating amalgam toxins (metals/mercury), plus after smoking a load of cigarettes (other chemicals and metals).
So everytime I sweat with either of these issues, I can smell metals and taste them too sometimes.
You may also sweat more via the hands and clammy hands can be another sign of toxicity too (and other issues). Though i realise they have easier access to your nose.
I remember onetime when my body was dumping metals, I exercised on my treadmill and sweated quite a bit. Well I was late for a doctor's appointment and didn't have time to shower and raced to get there. Well the doctor was quite overwhelmed by the smell of metal as I walked in....I could also smell it but was quite used to it.
If you can sweat and handle some heat, take hot baths with epsom salts or sea salt and baking soda. (a cup each), as these aid elimination of toxins/metals via pores. They are really helpful, but only if your body is strong enough to actually handle heat and sweat.
I cannot really do this these days since infections took over, so now my system is pretty stuffed. But it used to work REALLY well and sometimes to well because the detox symptoms could be too strong sometimes.
Saunas are also good. Exercise is brilliant, but only if it is nothing that is going to strain you. Rather a good walk (treadmill or outdoors) and/or some gentle rebounding too are brilliant.
These all help, plus antioxidants support supplements too and the diet.
The smells of metal can be mercury and other metals. Any heavy metals I'd say.

Last Friday was Day 1 of my period,I woke up with slight cramps that turned severe with very heavy bleeding, this has not happened me in a whole year, and before that ,not for years.I also was extremely lightheaded and fainted but caught myself. The whole episode was over in 2 or 3 hours though.I have not completely recovered yet, still tired trying to replenish myself...Anyway...
There was a really strong smell of metal from the blood. I am not sure if it was iron,or mercury or what but unmistakable metal.
I recently watched a dvd about dental amalgam, the researchers did a study on a female animals a sheep & a monkey. They had amalgams placed in their teeth. Also they traced the amalgam with radioactive substance (a dye I think)which showed up to travel around their bodies, alot of it travelled quickly into the animals wombs & stayed there. Both animals later became pregnant and the radioactive substance from the mothers also showed in the babies in high amounts.
(Coincidentally I first experienced heavy bleeding and severe cramps not long after I got my first amalgams at age 11 & 12. So most of my teenage years were spent like that sick for one week & the next week or 2 recovering, then time to go again! The actually took out my appendix I was in such a bad way the first time it happened.)
