I'm interested to see how long people had there fillings in their mouth before they figured out that is what was making them sick.
I had eight fillings done in a months period!! I was 26 years old, It took me a couple of months to figure it out. I'm 31 now and I feel like I've gotten alot of mercury out. I think about being my normal healthy self everyday!! I feel very thankful that I was able to learn about mercury when I did. I still have two more fillings to go. I know my real healing process will start when I get them out

Hi, I was about 22 before I figured it out. I am 35 now (just turned 35 today)

So for me, it was a long time. I remember that I was always feeling somehow poisoned, but never knew how or why. This was because I would get shivering spells, blue nails, crying and salivating, tremors etc, which to me added up to some kind of toxicity/acute poisoning.

I was labelled with candida/ chronic fatigue to try and explain all this, but treating candida only brought some results, but never cure. I knew something else was amiss. Also the metal taste kind of began to give it away.

My symptoms never really corresponded accurately with most other things I read about (candida would have been the closest and obviously I did have it), but when I read an article on mercury toxicity and the symptoms, suddenly I was stunned to find I could relate to this 100%, no ifts or buts, even to the most bizzare symptoms that I never shared with anybody.

And my reactions to having braces at age 15 was also very telling. Almost immediate and dramatic decline in health, extreme reactions to the metals, blurred vision, rashes, etc etc.

So for me, metals are a real problem, both toxicity wise and allergy. I cannot wear anything made of metal either.

I had 8 fillings altogether. They were replaced over years. From age 22, till about 24 they were gradually removed. THe last removal caused the most dramatic symptoms and from there, later on, I had the horrible dreaded dumping stage where the mercury that is stored starts to make its way out of you. For me that was a nightmare and took years to improve from.

But I did improve and the difference in me over time was quite remarkable. But now I'm very ill again by other means, so the mercury issue isn't the problem as such these days, but I can tell people who are mercury toxic that it takes time and is often a very hard road but worth it in the end.

Trev. Unfortunately with the birthday, I have fallen off the diet, so yeah it's not going to be easy to get back on track. But I will be after this is over.

Yeah I'm glad that I've got no amalgams, but feel i've gone from the frying pan into the fire, from mercury to this instead and this is strangely worse because there isn't any "healing/detoxing" from it. It's a bit like aids without actually dying from it. It just stays in the system. Very weird.

“It took me a couple of months to figure it out.” – Congratulations, that is quick.

I had 8 amalgams put in me in one sitting. That was about 10 years ago. So that’s 10 years of declining health I have experienced.

Thanks SS! It's actually been quite a pleasant day and evening for me. I'm going to end it by watching a trashy horror movie (night of the living dead) lol which is probably how I'm going to feel tommorrow after all the junkfood I've eaten today.

Not impressed with myself, I had every opportunity to avoid this by simply concentrating on the other foods like chicken and pork and veges, but I guess I thought it was and now I'm thinking

Well I hope you've had a nice time today at least Bex. When you're used to eating a healthy diet, the body seems to remember it and knows how to get back on track. It hasn't been hard for me to do this recently, though things are rather wonky today because my daughter gave me the stomach bug from hell. Why is it that when we catch bugs from children, they always seem to be so much worse for us LOL.

I can't imagine Night of the Living Dead is going to cheer you up much, but it's a fascinating film. I remember watching it for the first and only time when I was a teenager staying up most of the night; I watched it on TV in the basement. Truly twisted stuff. Have you seen Shaun of the Dead?

I keep wishing I had answers for you, I hate to see you suffering. Is EBV one of your problems? A number of people here have mentioned it. There must be something that will get those little buggers out of you.

Best wishes for the rest of the day

Little late, but Happy Birthday Bex!

How long before figuring out fillings were making me sick? Just about forever - like 30 years. My fillings were all put in, I think, in my teens. And back then, no one said anything about mercury, and I felt healthy (Although in hindsight, there were signs! Definite signs all the way).

So you get to be like 36, 10 years ago, and things start going south quickly. Little things like dry skin, fatigue in morning, a sense of something wrong, but you are still functional, and your doctor runs tests, and it is all normal.

Time goes by, and you slowly get worse, and at the end, you are getting into skin rashes, anxiety, even panic attacks. Had to switch doctors, and started studying why I was having hypothyroid symptoms. Finally read article on mercury, and had that jaw-dropping experience. And those problems have gone away upon removal, or improved greatly.

Looking back, I was dumb as a rock. Because I had trust that my dentists would have told me, or my doctor would have told me or someone. Oh well, funny my dentist then I think did try to tell me, offhand, but could not because he could lose his license. (Thank-you ADA, and goodbye soon when the !)

In my case, the silver fillings were just the beginning when I was a child. I had totally irregular periods from the start and was very underweight and small my whole childhood. But I felt healthy. By the time I was a teenager, I needed to take a nap after school every day. At the end of college, everyone on campus needed to take an MMR shot because of an outbreak. It was after that that I became depressed, more tired, hypoglycemic. Then after having my son at 30 years old, I ate tons of tuna over six month time period (not knowing that it has mercury - I thought it was healthy) - and that's when all of the brain fog set in - never the same again. Then last year I found out I was sleeping in a room with a broken mercury thermometer for probably two + years. It's like the mercury follows me wherever I go! After eating the tuna at 30 my levels were measured to be seven times the level of a woman of childbearing age. I'm now 39, brain fogged, exhausted, underweight.

I had 8 fillings, got some in as a young child and the rest as a teenager,I am now 28.
I was advised to get my fillings out in March 2006,and now, they are all out.
It took me untill this year to realise the extent of the damage they have caused.I had no idea.
And to think those fillings are still out there being toxic somewhere else...

Linda, I have most definitely had/have EBV and had the glandular fever. I have no idea what bacteria/virus I have now from that infected mascara, the most bizzare thing and I've never encountered symptoms like it....especially when it affects the brain, which told me how serious it actually was.

I think so many things at once in one body just offset the other and you can go in cycles of symptoms. Which is what happened and happens to me.

Still excreting the cigarette toxins and it's not easy but hoping it's coming out. My eyes have been stinging and red, and again the taste of metal. My only hope at improving after a toxic exposure, is if my body will lurch into the crying and salivating routine, because this is the only way it will improve afterwards. It's the only way I have ever really eliminated toxins. The diet, if I am on it long enough and stick to it seems to help this occur. But it can take weeks of the diet in order for my body to then gather enough strength to start eliminating the other toxins.

Birthday hasn't helped obviously, but these things happen.
lol glad I'm not alone Dawn! You take 5 days to get back on track? I used to take that long, but now it's 2 weeks, so you can imagine. One cheat and another two weeks gone. 5 days is bad enough though. I hope maybe in time if the toxins from the cigs clear out more, I won't take so long in improving from a cheat!

lol, you saw it too Linda? (night of the LIving Dead) the black and white one? There is so many of these kinds of ones, but I haven't saw shaun of the dead. I dont actually get depressed watching them, I guess I'm a bit strange. I like horror movies! I have "Red Dragon" to watch now too, which is apparently connected to the "Silence of the Lambs".

again to everybody for the birthday greetings, belated or otherwise.

BEX!

!HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Good to see you.

It was a really long time before I figured it out... 46-47 years. Matter of fact i just figured it out this year. But looking back now i can see tell tale signs of mercury problems obviously.

But you know, for me, life is such an adventure, not very much keeps me down for very long and I tend to heal pretty quickly, always have. Keeping a positive outlook is real important. I always tell myself I am stronger than whatever is bothering me and up and out the door I go and I most always feel better in the morning. The stress factor is an important consideration too I am real sure. In the past 25 years I have only worked a steady job for about 3 of those years, jobs with other companies, and the rest I have been self employed which always gave me the freedom of setting my own hours and the ability to sleep late if I needed to. That in itself is probably one of the biggest assets to my good health, even when I am not in the best of health. Having something positive to look forward to everyday and downline too, real important. During all of this I maybe sat around moping for only two weeks or so, because i really was in really bad shape, numb all over but I found a great doctor and somehow dragged myself in the first few weeks because it was a long drive.., I even hit the ski slopes a few times last winter because I couldn't resist the sight of snow, even when every bone in my body ached, and it helped me every time. If I had sat around moping and crying, even though a big part of me wanted to do that, it would have only made me feel worse I have no doubt.

Really important to keep a positive outlook, have people around that you love and want to be there for, have things on the agenda that you love to do and that nothing will keep you from. I may have had slight mercury poisoning all my life but undoubtedly my health has always been better than lots of people I know because i get out the door and I work hard and I play hard. I try to eat a good diet. I take the time to do a nice garden so we have clean homegrown veggies. all things considered I might otherwise be deathly ill but I won't accept that and so I keep going and it works for me. Plus, big plus, and the love of Jesus.

All these things combine for a really positive outlook, and my health reflects that, mercury poisoning or not.

My daughter does not have any fillings, she's 13 now, and the kid is so lazy sometimes. i was never like that, and I have had amalgam fillings, a dozen or so at the highest (only a few left now) since the age of 8 or 9. I was never sick as a kid, I played all sorts of sports, she can barely get her behind out the door for a bike ride... I recall quite a few foggy head days but they always passed. so, to blame all of my problems on mercury doesn't makes sense to me, it never will. Life is a huge combination of factors far as I can tell, and mercury is probably just a drop in the bucket. Yes! I still smoke too! The chem free stuff though, the packaged pre-rolled tobacco makes me vomit. I try not to smoke too much though.

I have 2 sisters and a brother, all of whom have mouths full of amalgam fillings and they are all in good health too, except one sister who has some other issues related more to her deviant alcohol and weed reliant lifestyle.

I got my mercury fillings when I was 13 and sick for a week after but did not connect the two. I got all my fillings in one setting and just thought it was the way you felt after the dentist. Never went back again until 6 years ago when I started removal. I had my fillings 23 years before I knew they were mercury. I started feeling tired and muscle pain around the age of 34 and really bad from 36 on and am now 46 but I am still fighting.

I am not sure what came first or what the cause was. I had issues with ADHD from 2yrs, mum had a mouth full of fillings. I ate tuna sanwiches most days from about 11yrs. I remember at 14-16 my tongue was permanently white after having a filling drilled out. It had cracked and fell out when I was eating, swallowed most of it. I had 3 fillings in total. Then at 23 I had really bad digestive issues, food allergies, tremors etc. Tried all the candida protocols, had amalgams removed, first removal used no respirator. Ended up with intolerance to all carbs, ankylosing spondylitis, CFS, permanently constipated at this stage. Then I chelated, CFS and digestive issues clearing up at 3 months, 9 months food tolerances improved, 1 yr ankylosing spondylitis nearly cleared.

guys, tracy's in hospital due to her liver condition, but I suppose there's lot more to it. she's not good:(

I am very bad too, mentally that's why I still visit the boards but don't participate much. I have the brain of a 10yo, and apart from mercury toxicity or what the hell has been going on with the last couple of months, something happened to me a few weeks ago. One night I was doing a series of ACV enema's to get rid of candida, and with the last 4th enema I started feeling very weak and lightheaded and my heart pulse was very weak, I had this condtion all night (as I was doing the enemas before going tio bed), in the morning I had boirdeline low blood pressure, anyway my brain suffered a lot from it, the periphery of the brain just shut down and feel dead, I now I have serious reasons to suspect I've suffered brain damage from too low blood pressure and not enough oxygen, as acv is high in potassium so I may have overdosed on it. I really dont know, my gp says it's unlikely but it is a possibility to me as I still haven't recovered. I am saving money now for an MRI, as no doc will order it for me as I had one in March , yet I was way better back then. I wouldn't be surprised if something came up on the MRi, as I was jinxed all my life really, so when that ACV eama incident happened I wasn't surprised at all.:/ Sorry for being such a downbeat, but too much is just too much.

I am also chelating but can't even handle now 12.5 mg dmsa, though I managed 25mg before.

Hope u all guys are doing better. I know u wish me best luck, thanx.

Hey Jinx
Sorry to hear you are worse. I knew you were having it rough but I was hoping that because I hadn't seen you on much you were way better. Hang in there it seems like sometimes going a step forward leads to a couple of steps back.
I am so sorry to hear about Tracy too! I had a bad feeling cause she has not been on in such a long time.
Well I know it is hard especially having to research all of it yourself and trying to figure all of it out. Too bad there is not more educated docs out there.
Hang in there both of you my prayers are with ya'll!!! Keep fighting.

Hi Jinx, I'm both sorry and disappointed to hear that your condition appears to have remained as bad as ever, even with your efforts. The fact you cannot handle that dose of DMSA, would suggest still have a load of mercury. Either that or you have a genuine allergy or intolerance to DMSA itself. But I would suspect mercury based on how it keeps changing for you and how you could previously handle 25 mg and now cannot even handle `12.5 mg. Some people have taken as low as 6 mg by the way.

Though I have heard of people not handling 12.5 mg and then going up to 25 mg and finding they handle the higher dose. Weird! But I guess that's the nature of mercury and maybe more DMSA grabs more mercury and keeps the process a bit more stable in some cases. I dont know.

I tried enemas once and didn't like them and stopped doing them. I dont go in for much of those things like flushing, cleanses etc, rather I feel if the body is given the right stuff in diet and supplements, it can be a slower but safer way of going about it and more natural. Other methods might be great for some people and especially in emergency situations, but I dont think they're wise to do regularly.

Jinx, I really wish that you would get a breakthrough. I would have thought that the DMSA might have done "Something" for you at least. But when I think about what happened to you from your massive exposure during that badly done removal and what happened to you after it, it's not too surprising.

Still hoping things might improve at some point...

I am sorry for you Jinx, and also for Tracy, what devastating news. Let us all say a special prayer for Jinx, Tracy and all of those that are suffer so needlessly from this cursed affliction. I can't believe that this is happening....it is almost impossible to fathom...no wonder it has taken so long for the truth to surface about hmt....the horrors of it are uninimaginable!!!

Hi Sandi, thanks a lot for the birthday greetings

I hope you yourself will get a health breakthrough, you deserve it so much. It is hard to fathom why some people seem to cop it so much, even with all their efforts. I dont' quite understand it.

I heard about Tracy too over private message and was just stunned. She's been hit left right and centre. I hope she comes back on here soon.

Prayer definitely required! It does make you wonder if most of our problems were caused from mercury due to it weakening the immune system for such a long period of time and maybe doing damage, that other things ended up taking hold.... Well, that being said, even with my condition these days, I am still glad I got the amalgams out. But I wonder if I would have ever gotten this volatile infection had I not been suseptible from years of mercury poisoning beforehand....

anyway, I'm going on again. Take care Sandi, keep us posted on how things are gong with you, be it negative or positive.
