Hello group, I am trying to find my way around here. I have been sick from my mercury fillings for quite a long time, only I didn't know what was wrong with me. A homeopathic doctor tested my teeth and said I had high galvonic readings, most over 10. He said 4 was acceptable. I have been having my fillings removed by a mercury free dentist and I have three to go. I only go to the dentist every other month because that is the only way I can afford to do it. I have a question to ask to get started on one of the products I just purchased, Algin. It says on the bottle to drink with two glasses of juice. My question is, is water ok? Fruit juice is too sweet for me to drink.
I feel like crap most of the time and don't know when this will ever end.

Hi Ann and welcome to the forum.

We actually don't recommend that you drink fruit juice with Algin. You should just use water.

Many people with mercury toxicity have Candida issues and fruit juice would only make that worse.

Best of luck and keep us posted.

Hi Sunflower, Lucky you that this Friday will be your last filling. How many did you have? I had ten, plus two root canal teeth to be extracted. I had one done already. There was infection there and a cyst. The next one is my very front top tooth. We are leaving that go till last as the dentist wants to get all the mercury out first. My teeth were just full of it. I don't feel too much better yet, but there has been a slight improvement with energy. Because of all the dental work I have developed TMJ and the symptoms from that are very hard to deal with. Headaches, head squeezing, tightening of head and neck muscles. Also the jaw knocks out my Atlas (C1) all the time and that makes everything so much worse. After the dental work, I have to be fitted with something called an Occlusal orthotic device to pull the jaw back in place. I have been sick for a long time and I am so tired of it. Just seem to have one problem after another. But I keep hanging in there. Thanks for your reply.

Yes Russ. I have had candida but now just deal with parasites. I am told 23 different ones plus their eggs. By the way, do you know if it alright to have Agave Nectar? The last two mornings I made Buckwheat pancakes and put the Agave on top. I felt really horrible for a few hours after that both days. I guess my body is trying to tell me something.
Thanks,
Ann

Hi Ann,
Yes I'm actually wanting to go to the dentist for a change!
I am eager to be rid of my last 4 fillings,I had 9 in total.
I have "cytomegalovirus which won't clear untill fillings out",the galvanic currents between3 tiny ones in 1of my molars are causing trouble.Since I was last at dentist ,early August,I had to cancel a few times because I was so sick from mercury with colds, coldsores, thrush, rash etc.Horrible to go through but glad it feels like I'm getting this poison out of me...
I never heard of TMJ, that sounds like something you could do without at the moment.
Glad to hear you are hanging in there, you are certainly right getting the mercury out.
This kind of work we do on ourselves is tough but no doubt we will reap what we sow.

Unfortunately, the Agave juice contains sugars that won't be good for your situation.

You may want to consider a wide-spectrum supplement such as Yeast - Fungal Detox. I've seen this work wonders for people.

Hope this helps and please keep us posted.

Ann,
I been feeling good since the fillings were replaced last friday.Except for thismorning,I felt very edgy &emotional and cried for 2 hours over something silly.
My mouth feels like new.no metal taste.I feel more refreshed when I wake up in the mornings, but am still forgetting what I'm saying midsentence, and feel confused sometimes, with directions etc.
Normally I get exhausted at some stage during the day, this has not happened at all this week.
The dentist also reminded me that it's not just the mercury causing problems but also the electrical currents from them.
How are you doing?

Hi Ann,
How are you feeling? I haven't been on in awhile...was having some bad days...never can tell when these days are gona hit me. About myself I have Fibromyalgia and IBS and have all of my fillings out and finished 6 months ago. I ended up getting them pulled because I have stage 4 peridontal disease. I was rather glad to have them pulled as I was already so sick. I ended up with h-pylori and had ulcers all the way through my digestive tract as well as 6 other viruses, one of them being cytomegalovirus. It all sucks don't it. But I can say this my energy seems to be doing a little better and my eyesight seems to be better and colors are brighter and more vivid. Also while I had the last 4 removed and was so sick my blood pressure was 186/104 and now 6 months later it is down to 151/83. It's all such a slow process but I have FAITH in GOD, he will lead me to fix it all. Just wanted to tell you not to give up, that it seems hopeless now but there is a light at the end of this long, dreary tunnel. By the way I started the removal over 6 years ago and ran out of money, and after a year of having the first 4 removed I started feeling so so much better. I thought I was superwoman and thought I could live with the last 4 fillings...I hate the dentiist, after all it was a dentist that got me into all of this sickness. Well I was so wrong. Just wanted you to know that I did get so much better after those first 4 were out but it took me a little over a year to get to that point. Just wanted you to know I have experienced that good feeling again. Before when I got better I was still not up to par but I have made a vow to myself to go all the way this time so I can actually get rid of all the muscle aches, viruses and all. I also have candida as well and am having a hard time with that one. Take care!

Hi Sunflower,
I had my dentist appointment on Wednesday. He finished a tooth he started last time, and started the crown this time. He also filed some teeth down on the right side. My bite wasn't right and causing me all kinds of tmj problems. It seems to be better now.
I was wanting to ask you, do you take the Algin? I posted a question about it but never got an answer. If you take it, did you get fluish at first, or get bloated? Does it act as a detox? How long did it take you to start feeling better?
I also have very poor memory and very poor concentration. The mercury has affected my hormones and I am up tight all the time. Today I have lots of pressure at the top of my head. It could still be the jaw, I don't know. But I am able to finally eat on the right side as my bite was corrected.

Hi Skieslimit,
Was just wondering what your bad days are like? I have had the h-pylori too. My homeopathic doc gave me stuff to take care of that and the two ulcers I had. I get strep and staph off and on from the one root canal tooth I still have. My eye sight is not real
good either. I have faith in God too. He is the strength of my life.
I did hate the dentist in the beginning, but am getting used to going now and don't even have to take a xanax.
I have been sick since 1998 when I went to the doctor and told him that I just don't feel well. It was probably the teeth way back then, but the doctor put me on Paxil and said that would make me feel much better. Well, it didn't and that started a chain reaction from one anti-depressant to another until they almost made me go out of my mind. Then to help with the recovery of that they put me on klonopin and I was on it for four years not knowing that it was very addictive. They told me than that I had Chronic Fatigue. I found out through a support group that klonopin was so bad and I withdrew so slowly and it took me three years for the withdrawal and to end with the side effects of it all. I was better, but left with candida. So I joined a support group for that. Come to find out that the condition of my digestive system was horrible and the mercury was the reason. All those years wasted. I have been doctoring with my homeiopathic doc for over a year now and getting the fillings out one, every other month. It will cost over 10,000 by the time I am finished with the last tooth which has to be extracted and then a tooth to replace that one. I am 66 years old, retired, and trying to get well. I have lost most of my friends, some family members (they think you are a hypocondriac) Sorry for the spelling.
Well I have cried on your shoulder long enough, so I will bring this to a close.
God bless,
Ann

Hi Ann,
sorry to hear that you are feeling bad. I never took Algin,
but alot of people on these forums recommend it.I go through that fluish feeling every so often. So maybe it is a symptom of mercury toxicity or symptom of detox.??
Sometimes I feel feverish, and body feels heavy and aches.
Are you taking LOTS of Vitamin C?
This is 1 thing I learned since my previous visit to dentist,I felt
sick for 8 weeks, this time I have overdosed myself on Vit C
and I feel alot better,& have stopped a cold in it's tracks.

That is great news, being able to eat on right side, that must be a huge change.
I forget things,sometimes &get confused too.
As for hormones I was getting really bad PMT but since May this year,I started taking a natural progesterone cream, for the last 2 months or so I experienced no PMT.Great stuff!
As for Algin,I'm sure someone will reply soon.
Meanwhile hang in there.

Hi Ann! I also had my 8 metal fillings replaced every other month as well- because it was more affordable for my situation and I was desperate to have them out.

I used to get strep throat all the time-! Yeast - encouraged by the mercury fillings is the root cause of the strep throat. The chronic fatigue is a common symptom- indirectly created by mercury toxicity.
From my understanding, the adrenal glands are taxed alot - which causes the chronic fatigue.

Try to stay away from coffee and maybe pick up some Valerian Tea and Melatonin tablets . Both will help regulate your sleep patterns and melatonin will help with the hormonal mess /adrenal drain causing the chronic fatigue .

Magnesium Citrate is also a good thing to make sure to get enough of for your nervous system. Mercury toxicity creates a demand in the body for more minerals like Magnesium., because the mercury causes a mineral imbalance.
You should be sure to also take more Vitamin C (the natural bioflavonoid type) in between each of your filling removal appointments. Just dont take the day of your dental appointment, or the vitamin C will nullify the novacaine, and the dentist will have to keep injecting you with novacaine til you're numb enough for them to work in your mouth.

Algin is ideal to take before during and after each filling removal. It will sponge up any stray mercury that filling removal may cause. As Russ said, you don't have to take it with juice. You can take it with water, and with yeast issues, that would be the best thing to do.

I also used this dental wash called "Dental Chelat" to rinse my mouth at each dental visit- as well as in between filling removals. If you google Dental Chelat , you will find it sold online. It allegedly absorbs the tiniest nano-particles of mercury that may lodge in your mouth tissues and sinus cavities from the fillings. It is also safe to use while you still have fillings in your mouth.
These are just a few tips- others have lots more to share for you here as everyone has gone through it here!

I didn't go to a holistic dentist-- but to a really good regular dentist-- but then I only had 8 fillings and NO root canals.

I found out that when I had depression (in my case, it was during my periods every month- and all throughout the entire Winter months) that taking Fish oil capsules daily- and Oil of Evening Primrose during PMS and the entire time of my period, that the depression was no longer. This effect took place for me after one month . I was surprised at how fast it took. Fish oil has been found to help people with Bipolar condition, and more recently, DHA supplements taken in conjunction with fish oils have been found to help children with ADHD

All I know is my own personal confirmation that it really made a difference in my depression. Mercury was probably the indirect root cause of that depression ,because it can cause hormone imbalances- and brain chemicals are related with that too.

As I continue to chelate, I also make sure to replenish the body with missing minerals and the good oils like mercury free fish oil , etc. It makes a big difference.

Last but certainly not least-- it is good that you have kept your faith

Hi Ann! I am so glad to meet you. I hate to say it, but "misery loves company", and it is always nice to be in company that understands what you're going through.

I am sure I have h. pylori too, but I have not been tested. My M.D. says it is really not that common (all the more reason I know *I* have it). He doesn't want to do any tests other than put a scope down my throat, into my stomach, and that kinda scares me, but I've thought about doing it. I just wish he'd do a blood or urine test or something.
I do not have a homeopatic Dr, but I wish I did. I do have someone I would like to see, but he's more than 50 miles away, and it's so hard to arrange for someone to watch my kids, and my husband would have to get a ride to work, and it's all such a big chaotic mess, but I'm going to have to do it somehow. I know all of you know, how much more effort it takes people like us, to get it all "together" so we can get things done. I am so forgetful, and forever late wherever I go.

Hi Ann
How are you doing ? I did not go to a conventional doc. Have not been to one of those for 12 years. I was afraid they would put me on all kinds of pills as well. So when I got h pylori I spent at least 8 months with it and finally went to a homeopathic doc. Was the best thing I ever did. I was too afraid of what the conventional doc would tell me. I have since went through the conventional docs just for the diagnosis of fibromyalgia...just in case, the getting well process is so slow I thought at first I might have to apply for disability. Working in this condition takes such a toll on you. Well I have 6 months down and am only working part time thank God for that one!!!! Well hang in there it does get better eventually. Just a long drawn out process. Sure would be nice if there were more docs out there that understood all of this. I have spent about 7000 dollars myself on trying to get well. Don't know how but the money has just been there. God sure is good that is for sure. Take Care!!!!

Hello Anne, I am also new here and wanted to get aquainted witht he group as I have just run across by accident. I have had health problems for over 12 years now directly related to amalgam removal back then. I had a non-qualified Dentist take over 12 fillings out in 2 weeks.Thats when the nightmare began.I started a lot of bad habits due to strong cravings. I lost a marriage due to the "Mad Hatters Disease" and my irratic behavior. No one understood me (including myself) I was lost and lonely for years, but after 6 Naturopaths and a lot of personal cash, I managed to chelate enough out to regain my sanity.
In the process I also contracted a weakened immune system which opened the door for Candida Fungus?Yeats to take over and that has been no cake-walk to get rid of. It's said to be the precurser to cancer. There's some interesting links to another group that deals with this problem and describes it's symptoms if your interested in finding out about why your still not feeling well. I would urge anyone in this group to look into it as we have all compromised our health and weakened our immune system's progress from either stress or antibiotics or mercury or whatever else.
If anyone wants the link, just let me know. Thanks for letting me into your forum.

Hello. I have been out of the loop for a while and trying to get back in and read all these wonderful posts to me. I had done a xanax withdrawal and have been feeling terrible since. I guess it will take a long time to feel better. I had stopped the Algin but just started it again yesterday. My holistic doc tested it on me and said it was a good product for my body. But I am getting some stomach cramps again and don't know if it is that or the withdrawal.
How much C should I be taking in a day. I take about 6000mg. Is that enough?
I am so fluish most of the time. I have lots of body aches and pains and my head is terrible from the tmj and the withdrawal.
Thanks for your post.

Hi. Nice to meet you. I will try to answer some of your questions.
I don't drink coffee. I like herbal tees. I sleep very well most nights. I do take Magnesium Glycinate 400. Anything else gives me the runs. I take 800mg a day. Is that enough?
Do you take the Algin before and after dentist visits, or every day?
My dentist usually gives me Chlorella before working on me.

Hello Mommy to 4

You must be one busy lady. I have two grown sons and seven grandchildren. I thought two was a lot of work. Now I wish I had more.
Too bad you don't have a homeopathic doctor. A regular MD doesn't have a clue about any of this and all of their tests come out just fine anyway. On paper I look like the worlds healthiest person.
Sorry you are in this mercury mess too. Like you I am very forgetful. Can't remember what I ate for lunch. This has got to change.

Hello LB,

I have been through the Candida mess and thank the good Lord, that is behind me now. I used a product names Florastor. Not sure I am spelling that right, but my homeopathic doc gave it to me. It was about 50 a bottle and it took about 4 bottles to get rid of the problem.
Thanks for posting to me.

Hi Ann,
I hope you are feeling better.I noticed you disappeared for a while, and hoped you were doing ok.I know even when you miss this forum for a few days you have a lot of reading up to do!Can seem so overwhelming!!
Vitamin C dosage...you can take vitamiin C up to bowel tolerance level. It all depends on the amount your body requires at the time. You can't overdose it just passes out when you've taken extra. It's the best supplement.
But 6000mg is a good amount.
Sometimes I can take lots of it 5 to 10 gramms, like at the moment I have mouth blisters and my body just needs the vitc.
other times 1800mg is enough for me.All depends. But I eat alot of fresh vegetables &some fruit too, high in vitC
