I haven't read anything about ALA helping with aluminum, but I have found research to indicate that these things may: Silica (silicon) is a trace mineral that helps protect the body from toxic levels of aluminum. Read the 2nd paragraph of this info sheet from HSN ComplexCilantro accelerates the excretion of aluminum, as well as lead and mercury, from the body through the urine. Read the paragraph on Cilantro in the info sheet on Heavy Metal DetoxLow magnesium levels (a common problem with mercury toxicity), coupled with calcium deficiency, may contribute to "aluminum-induced" degenerative nervous disease. Read the paragraph on Magnesium in the info sheet on Heavy Metal DetoxPlus, magnesium deficiency can also contribute to the buildup of aluminum in the brain. Read the 1st paragraph on magnesium in the info sheet for FibralgiaMaybe someone else might know more about ALA, but hopefully the above info will be helpful.

Hey Tracy....Mercury displaces and rearranges all mineral and metal levels, it is a real merry-go-round...someday we can look forward to being semi normal I hope ....anything ihas to better than what we have been through, right?
